“Imagine,” he said, “the magic of pretending,
whether one is in bed or on a mountaintop.
—quote by poet

                     The rush of wind,
and hush of chimes, between breaths.
             Full sun carries
       no tune; it tarries, stimulates
                  my too pale face.
To sail, to sigh; shells on the beach.
        I bury my feet
in crush of waves, deceptive suds.
               Flood of feelings;
                     momentum of time displacement.
         Floating, glistening.
       My eyes confused, maligning sight.
One thing is true:
                      the rush of wind, the hush of chimes;
                 and there is more -
the sun does not play lyre; or flute.

Premium MemberLee Vilifies Her Husband

Lee vilifies Henry, her husband, a good man
Maligning him whenever and however she can
Most of us move out of her arrogant lying way
Not wanting to hear what she has to spout or say

The Heart Sees It All

Sometimes, you don't see you're beautiful
Until you see yourself from someone's eyes
Who truly see your true worth and value
Who loves you without seeing your weaknesses
Blind love is never underestimate
You may see that its vulnerability
You may mistaken it as crazy fool
Might you conclude them as prone to abuse
They may not use their thinking as you see
But they have plenty of caring part
Where even the spite and maligning
They ignore and continue smiling for good
Sacrificing the body as perusal of guilt
Conscience is veiled to release compassion
Exemplifying that love can endure mocking
For the heart persist for the sake of happiness.

Back-biting bites own back

Who so maligns a noble man,
None but his own self tends to stain,
The ash thrown over head,
On one’s own head gets spread,
O indulge in no smear campaign.

Poet’s note: Sanskrit has thousands of verses of wisdom called Subhashhitam. This verse warns us against maligning others. Doing so reflects on one’s own credibility. If you take a fistful of ash and throw it in air, it would fall on your own head. The transliteration of the Sanskrit verse follows:

Nindaam yah kurute saadhoh,
tathaa svam dooshayati asau |
Khe bhootim yah tyajet uchhaih,
moordhnih tasya eva sah patet ||

Before Resurrection

Before life restored
There was Gethsemane, cross
Maligning and death.

Premium MemberTurbulence

We cannot calm the turbulence in the open sky.
We must bear with its disharmony as it passes us by ~Quote by poet

Tempestuous moods erupt within, a tumultuous severe agitation
Brings forth undulating vibrations, exploding with a pounding pulsation
Retributions unholy, big blue-sky echoes with conflicting resound
When the balefully coarse maligning words mercilessly expound
Somedays gliding my way high through a stream of consciousness
Taken back by the waves soaring low to a destiny that seems endless
My soul, wrenched and wretched, lets loose from my clutching mind
Over the ocean, tempest-tossed above knotty seas less than kind
Excuse if you will my slashing unabiding, dismissive demeanor
Never shall I find where tides gently flow, and grass that is greener
Clashing and clawing through dark gathering clouds are my fate
Exit you my friend from my world and my presence before it’s too late

Premium MemberTurn a Deaf Ear

Turn a deaf ear to unnecessary whining
For what we take in can affect our mood
‘Tis better than engaging in maligning,
Never to respond with a comment rude.

Premium MemberParadise Warns

Creation perfectly wrought
designed by God* for mankind
precious gift to tend
with responsible stewardship…
such was magnificent in the beginning
a paradise of wonders.

Paradise
indeed, yet corrupted
as inhabitants
keep on maligning
her elegance of grace-filled beauty ---
now … Mother Earth grievously languishes.

Mother Earth
oh, verily afflicted with men’s exploits
while technology soars
toward progress’ crest
leaving her virgin forests ravaged
against original stature: Nature at its best.

Nature
sighing in desperate disgust
at civilization’s arrogance
along mocking skeptical mirth
never stops to give stern warning
tolerating not abuse to planet, once verily functional.

Planet
offering life
brings earnest admonition
inflicting guilt…to heed, hopeful
we do so, lest in despair
wail for wasted creation.

*Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Premium MemberAt the Crossroads

"You are standing at the crossroads,
So consider your path, your inroads."

"Your ancient ways are obsolete.
These old paths no longer compete."

"Then which path leads to blessing?
You could ask Me, or keep on guessing.
But you'd rather scheme than follow,
And moral blindness leaves you fallow,
Saying, "Everything will be all right!"
When everything is not all right!

"Our evolving wisdom achieves.
"Our evolving morality relieves."

"Your evolving wisdom deceives.
"Your evolving morality grieves."

"Why if I do not follow Your path,
Am I threatened with Your wrath?"

"You cultivate lies in your heart,
And believe it makes you stalwart.
But hardened beyond refining,
Your rebellion becomes maligning.
You continue down this path
Until all that's left is wrath."

"So do not all paths lead to You?
And if not, what is the real issue?"

"Know Me and know this to be true:
I alone control all the paths-
But only My path cures you."

Race

Blames and allegations
Conceited self-admiration
Habitual fabrications
Never ending Justifications
Maligning reputations
Backbiting and deceptions
Derogatory manifestations
Avoiding responsibilities, remembering dispensations
Friendships and betrayals
Unjustified humiliations
Killing exasperations
………………………..
This needs proper clarifications
We need moral and ethical upgradation
Focus and proper determination
Instead of shortcuts and distractions
This world is one and we have beautiful relations
Empathising and developing patience
What we are is our creation
Education inspires aspiration
Life is a pledge, we are not on vacation
Race is not just about directions

Trump a Beacon

Trump A Beacon

What if Trump a beacon had been
And all we would do was sin and sin
Set an example that maybe shining
While many women he was maligning
Should see color of his cruddy skin.

Denouement

The garden was abloom
Life passed in glee
They were close friends
In a happy levity

He never felt that
She had started believing
The whole canvas of his poem
Was her exclusive possession

When he got the morphed photos
Involving him with a little girl
Who was his favourite student
All his peace went into a whirl

No such enemy he could find
As could do the ugly job
With a view to smear his character
And arouse a furious mob

According to cyber detectives
It was a morbid grudge
She was in imagined relationship
Robbed of power to judge

He stopped the investigators
From spilling the beans because
He did not want the blooms
To come to a permanent pause

But for her they were flowers of evil
She kept unleashing her maligning nature
Until the police warned her one day
Elaborating on her dark future

He still wanted to sit with her
Following the denouement
It came about never

Premium MemberI'M Ready

Come in and rest awhile my friend,
I was hoping you would drop by.
I have long been expecting you,
isn't it weird how time can fly?

Just yesterday, I found myself
wondering when you would get here.
And I'm so sorry to hear folks
are maligning you out of fear.

Amongst all my tribulations,
you are unlike any other.
For you don't pretend to love me,
and yet, treat me like a brother.

You have been accused of murder,
which is both unfair and untrue.
But people need someone to blame,
forgetting all the good you do.

I'll be with you in a moment,
soon, I'll exhale my final breath.
And I thank you for your patience,
ok, I'm ready, let's go, Death.
