Terrific advice; I rarely give the whiners attention or time. I spend it on people who have few complaints but lots of laughter and joy in them.

There you go! Good! Whining is one thing I never allowed my children to do even when they were babies. I don't of anyone, with the exception of other whiners, who enjoy a whiner!

Great advice Milton! I can relate to one of the lyrics of a famous singer "Sunshine on the street at the parade ,but you would rather be in the dark ages" Like what's the use of complaining or whining unnecessary when it is not going to help improve the problem? Hugs and blessings!:)

Good advice, Milton. It's like complaining about the weather – we can't change it. / Maurice

Absolutely, Maurice. But, I am also aware, that sometimes we are "fed up," have "had enough" and simply must respond for our own well-being. Then, I say, go for it! Whining, however, I detest!

Good advice, Milt. We all have good days and not so good days. I haven't been around here long, but already regretting a few things I've said without thinking first. We're mostly adults here, so we'll just have to let some things go, some of the time. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Oh, I know exactly how you feel, Bill. I, too, have written things and posted them that I later regretted, but once they are out there, they are seen! Yep, we just have to keep moving ahead, one step at a time, and hopefully always getting better and gaining ground. Say no more.

You are so right about that, Tom. There are times I just get tired of it and I will lash out. I'm even written some pretty mean poems (of which I'm not the proudest)!

That should be the mantra of a few around here. No one would have reason to fire shots back at anyone if everyone played nice and quit maligning those of us who would gladly share the playground.
