Bound by belief

Some still say repentant combatants can’t change,
Though thought to be tamed, they tread a thin track.
When many men mock them, madden, and malign,
They charge with chained choler, yet sworn they stay still.

Fighting foes find few among people preaching peace,
Before battles, they brood, bound by belief.
For futures frame fates none should tether with tears,
While miscreant multitudes menace, unmoved.

Yet years yield younger youths yearning for clear change,
While some soldiers still battle before bold chiefs,
Who wait with well-wrought wisdom, woven in their hearts,
And teach these truths to teenagers in tents.

They need no news anew to nourish their truths;
They tell them to teachers teaching timeless tales.
Some still see storms of sorrow shaking them,
While we wait, they torture their truths with tears—
Torments that mar mortal minds with mournful wails.

When music shall ensue

The step-well water gets when clean
And lilies then blossom therein,
In drones when bees come to lilies,
Ah, music shall madden the bees,
(And me by their maddening din!)

Poet’s note: Sanskrit has thousands of verses of wisdom called Subhashhitam. A man is lost in imagination: this would happen, and then, and then… . Sure, if wishes were horses, why not? The transliteration of the Sanskrit verse follows:

Vapyoh bhavanti vi-malah,
sfutanti kamalani vapishhu |
Kamaleshu patanti alayah,
karoti sangitam alishu madam || 230 ||

Life is a song

"I was sailing along, On Moonlight Bay. I could hear the voices singing. They seemed to say, You have stolen my heart, Now don’t go away. As they sang love's old, sweet song, On Monnlight Bay." ~~Edward Madden~~

I was sailing along,
On Soup Song Bay.
I could hear the voices singing.
They seemed to say,
You have stolen my heart,
Now don’t go away.
As they sang love's old, sweet song,
On Soup Song Bay.
I could hear your voice singing.
It seemed to say,
For us the bell is ringing.
I must go away.,
This is life’s old, sweet song,
On Soup Song Bay.
You have broken my heart.
Please don’t go away.
So sad to see you leaving,
From Soup song Bay.
Now I am sailing along.
Old and grey,
Writing love songs on Soup Song Bay.
You have done me wrong.
Life is a song, now you went away.
As I sang life’s old, sweet song,
On Soup Song Bay.

The Temptress And Her Dark Spread Wicked Web

Your course was chosen, waiting for you to find it
Love came forth and you sought to forever bind it
Yet earth and sky saw your scheming inner spirit
And in life's madden race, a voice said, just shear it
Mother Nature saw and fiercely shook your rafters
Whilst Fate smiled at those wily little crafters
O' blindness, your melody races ahead
Your soul lives on dirty water and molded bread.

Laugh at those that see your audacious little game
With those selfish whims and you without any shame
Moon mocks you as your lying roars like loud thunder
Tis very true, truth shall bring your dreams asunder.

Your course was chosen, waiting for you to find it.
Love came forth and you sought to forever bind it.

Of Squalls and Tempests

You begin to see yourself
as being shaped by oceanic-waves.
Dressed in the muscle and fiber of restless storms.

A swish of a garment,
the high hem of a skirt pulls you into her flesh.
Sex remakes you into something you do not recognize.

A storm propels you,
a womb once pushed you,
into a tabular rasa, just so all the elements
of fire, air and earth could produce this creature-self
you now are.
Even mere words can madden your mind.

You wonder where and when you will set,
when you will be only the mold and not the molded,
suspect even, that you are but a sail for the wind.

Meanwhile a hermit crab leaves its shell once more
seeking the hunting cries of tempestuous seagulls.

John Madden RIP

As an offensive linesman forms profession,
Complimenting Raiders pro football coach,
Relating coaching and playing no question,
At every game, there's a diverse approach,
After his heyday years on the field, to cam,
A front-page kinda guy, sporting the news,
His behind the cam persona clearly amuse,
Hectic tit-for-tat lifelike catchphrases bam,
Commercials, sportscasting purged midlife,
I personally knew him in his career highlife,
He knows the playbook, immortalized rock,
'Twas a subject of intrigue, animated stock,
Ere Constitution, the Word in his interviews,
It's nineteen seventy-seven Raiders streak,
Twelve consecutive victories Super Bowler,
Oakland Airport Hilton, the Raiders quarter,
As Hospitality Aficionado I smile and greet,
But now, twelve-year his calling as a coach,
Making Raiders fans proud, as all encroach,
We pay homage to the man giant than men,
A football player, coach, TV persona, friend.

Sadden to say-

For I may never understand, yet still I pray;
Forever in your breath, the jest of one last kiss;
If I may;

Sadden to say;
For the sadness eats us away;
As I clasp your hands and pray;
I am not who you thought, Sadden to say;
My sin has disgraced our love, sorry;
Darling-

Sadden to say;
Sadden to say;
Sadden to say;
Madden this day;
Mad this way
I am so sorry that I acted this way;
still yet sadden to say;

How do you love someone, who isn't here;
Do you say I love you when love has said goodbye;
While awaken gone I sigh,  I cry;
Sadden a tad madden love lost fear;

She left me
Hurt
And what's worse
She voiced
I don't love you
I won't love you
I'm done loving you(.I never liked you )
Turn your eyes away and her feet she walked away
With this chilling thought she says
Goodbye
You're not my kind of guy
I sighed, Why why?
She blink her eye
She turns again, just walks away
I felt on edge
As my heart bled
Often I've said
I was hurt, yet I was led
Madden, sadden and hurt
Treated like dirt
As my tears falls waters the ground
I am found
Love hurt

Premium Member Covid-19 Haunting Fear

Silence is deafening
Like a dungeon dark hallway.
Door after close door of bounding
Moans and groans, and painful
Yelling gasping for air.
I sit in this cold
Dark cell shivering with my
Blacken thoughts.
Am I the only sane one?
Am I the only healthy one?
They come in and out
At all hours to poke and prob.
I, a human, a pin cushion
Ready for use.
Trying someplace else to delve
Madden hunger for More pain.
In isolation with no touch for comfort.
They in hazmat suits
Because they cannot breathe my breath
Or touch my tainted skin.
Claustrophobic in these four walls
Lord, please save me
From this darkness and pain;
Meet my exhausted lids to rest.
All I see are the haunting eyes
Of the ghost that had passed
Veiled in fear white sheets of snow.

When We Long For Touch

Emotional claustrophobia is widespread
We fear our feelings,fear the sudden dread
We swing between attraction and dismay
Others have been seen to sink to prayer

Yet all alone at Xmas we are sad
Even our other choice was dread
People who can madden with crude noise
Feel some one else might love their voice

Silence is like music in its joy
No intrusion, no strong words to annoy
But if we flee intrusion at great speed
We may miss the very clues we need

Oh, to find a lover joyful in our space
When we long for touch, for wild embrace.

The Talking Drum

The beats came calling
wearing a sly smile
he cooked up the rhythms
with the cunning strikes
becoming melodious sounds
to all joyous souls

The sticks continue their madden dance
skipping across the raw hide
Satiating the air
With echoing rhythms
refreshing deaden souls
Inundated with life’s burdens

The rhythms kept on booming
streaming out melodies
such that would Prise the heavens
the rhythms of ancient past
wiping out bile filled taste
raining us with melodious remedies

Now it has become hazy
Cutting off the light
Just to merge with the darkness
Slicing off today
Just to end off tomorrow
It bellowed ferociously
Dancing eerily
As it swoops on fate
Manifesting without a date
Wandering with a sure purpose
Stirring away all calm unopposed
Stalking all our inward deeds
sweeping out everyone dreams
Laying waste to vast vanities
Encircling this wanton emptiness
Mounting piles of sorrows
Trading tales of pains and horrors
amidst this madden rush
Heralding this troubling tussle
