Wake up
Stop dreaming
Hear the birds chirping
Thank God for the blessings
Each breath is a gift
Breathe in
Focus on your role
Hit the core with a heart of gold
Stay low-key, no time to envy
Seek discipline
Kneel to the Man who never sinned
Son of God, the true King of kings
The wind is blowing and the rain drop on your skin
Your soul is roaring with the sound of thunder and lightning
Here comes the rainbow
Oh feel the evening breeze
Look at that sunset
The heavens declare His Glory
Shine in the dark
The moon and the night sky reflect fire in your eyes
So wake up and blaze them up
Yeah, we've been astray, deceived and betrayed
Embrace the pain
Be born again
Break the chain
Tend and mend the broken to be the unshaken
Yeah, do or die, you and I, heads held high
Look, morning star His Art is so great
Let's drive through the blue fifth-mile street
Reviving our souls with the sound of gospel beat
Roll down the window
Can you feel the morning breeze?
Here comes the sunrise
The heavens declare His Glory

This vampire with unembellished hair,
how sterile are the scars from his bite?
He leaves himself all over your mouth,
an aftertaste of rust and vanilla;
How sterile are the scars from his bite,
with glossy eyes grotesque and vulgar?
I guess I’ll have to risk just one taste;
He leaves himself all over your mouth,
senses suspended you lick it up;
Warm and wanting from the inside out;
An aftertaste of rust and vanilla
blood mixed with his foamy latte;
Low key sensuality caught in tresses.

Today I sat in one with my thoughts,
Unanswered questions lingering abrupt.
I glimpsed a couple that passed me by,
Intertwining hands and genuine smile.
My heart skipped a beat and I wondered why,
Unfortunately I was disoriented for a while.
What is love, how does it feel?
What are emotions, are they even real?
What I had, I thought was true,
Maybe I'm a fool to have fallen for you.
Trusted my heart but you proved her wrong,
When put to the test, you left her to drown.
You're no different, maybe worse,
I don't hate you but it low-key hurts.

Waterfall chandeliers flood me
as they sparkle delicately;
Watercolor waves shine brightly
upending my debauchery;
Fanciful lets these tears fall free
they unleash all of my fury;
Graffiti of lights on the wall
facets enthrall but glow low key;
Rhyme and riddle to unravel,
the answer lies in the dazzle;
The poise of so polished a yell,
moody flow rings just like a bell;
Top tier can be hard to handle,
I sure as hell am no damsel;
Blink you’ll miss the kaleidoscope,
branding my slope so radical.

gray clouds floating now
raping rainbows killing souls
blue birds not singing
Cloudy overcast sky today
Oh where is the sun?
I miss the rainbows and the birds darting gleefully
Even the birds are low key depressed
Not a single song sung
At least black birds can rise above the clouds
to hear an angel sing gold notes
shadowy clouds darken the mood
Who would embrace the gray day
It is not even raining gloom
Which is beautiful in its own way
Come back lemon sunshine
or come fast blue heart of mine
I know this is a part of fall
I even welcome white rain
For clouds that seem a pregnant pause
Today devoid of natures gain.

Open the door and rest for a while,
around here we stay in flip flops;
A beach house never goes out of style;
Our broken clock stays on island time,
you’ll smell coconut in the off season;
Salt is meant for drinks with a lime;
May hear the ocean in every corner
or instantly fall asleep on the sofa;
Did you just get closer to the equator?
Blue enigma, low key lies within;
Slice of heaven on a quiet street,
welcome mat reads ‘Come on in.’

At camp, we braided lanyards
And spent hours in the pool.
We both dressed and acted differently
From when we were in school.
We played kickball, softball, newcomb
And rehearsed the yearly play,
Plus did arts & crafts and puzzles,
Mostly on a rainy day.
Once or twice throughout the summer
We would take a trip to town
For a movie or for bowling
Or to scarf some ice cream down.
It was low-key, sweet and simple
With no shooting for the moon,
Just a bunch of kids and counselors
‘Til the early afternoon.
What a far cry from what’s offered
Nowadays, but guaranteed
All those fancy bells and whistles
Are much more than campers need.

In my comfort zone I know that I am not alone
I have love, peace and family by my side
nothing to worry about just go along for the ride
In my comfort zone I can do what I want when I want to do it
No need to rush or stress, just sit back relax and get through it
In my comfort zone I'm happy, free and clear
Just looking ahead and not concerned about the rear
In my comfort zone I'm cool, calm and collected
with no thought or fear of ever being rejected
In my comfort zone I tend to stay low key
Because when I step out of my shadow, someone might see me
In my comfort zone I am fully grown
But what could have been will remain unknown
In my comfort zone isn't the best place to always be
Because when I'm there, you'll never see the true version of me.

Aldham man Harry
In poetry tarried, stilting or lilting
Did thrust, and parry, worthy Harry
Western Aus, he claimed was good
Yet sadness tore three years away
Under the fierce sun, a darkness stood
Palling people faces of fear huddle.
And reasoning why how what here?
He'd faced it all, he'd caught some pain.'
Yet he'd get around it and begin again
He's forged some friendships, tightened
Some bonds, shared his thoughts and
Wisdom, as we were going along
Quite a charactér outstanding mate.'
Good memories and laughter he did
Did permeate; display, by God he was
Gifted, yet he was low key..Just Harry's
Way.' Thats how he came across to me..

The author of my personal journals,
the recorder of the momentous
and irrelevant
died from an attack of boredom
only recently. I am now adrift
far from any past
not equipped for unknown futures.
Being knocked off the raft
I was clinging to,
being a slow swimmer in a fast moving ocean
I doggy paddle in these long minutes
trying to out-guess next moves.
It’s hard to be calm in rough waters
we get used to the humdrum far too quickly,
take the low-key for granted.
Speaking of keys
I tried to unlock a private webpage
I had neglected for years
it turned out to be a dead-link.
I sink, I paddle on doggedly
just the usual castaway
looking for more driftwood
to latch on to.

I have looked through the eyes of a false god low key
facing inwards the sight shut unable to see the truth has superior knowledge
it takes years from your life searching the four corners of your soul
One day the light enters when a person opens the heart broken
who am I to stand over the innocent in condemnation of justice so to speak
The guilt of sin weighs heavy on those looking for an easy way out
it was pride that changed angels into devils least we forget
To witness the power of our Saviours Mercy is something in itself beyond belief
when He rose from the dead a burning Light left its imprint engraved
nothing in this world comes near His power and Majesty
These days I love to follow those with saintly intentions towards others
it gives hope to us lost in the storms enveloping this world corrupted by evil
standing up for something means protecting the righteous at all costs
we have only one life to serve use it for the good of others no one else
The cost of tears lost in a chain falling in one broken dream counts
in the grail of insight ingrowing smiles hide the true character

Not quite the version of real time,
caught calm in a candid capture;
At once the art fades away,
burned from memory into a filter;
Caught calm in a candid capture;
A moment ago you were boiling,
finale fireworks on the Fourth of July;
At once the art fades away,
left in awe of your explosion;
Fanned fire cooled to low key;
Burned from memory into a filter,
changed your speed way too fast;
Emotional hand read 'Move On.'

We never get tired of watching the office and I’ll never get tired of you
A picture is worth a thousand words so what is a memory tattooed
Don’t blink because if you do you might miss a memory
Things are going by so fast today feels like God pressed fast forward
Pause this is the moment and I want it all, beauty and flaws, curves and claws
Nothing is perfect but you’re looking pretty close to it
Come a little closer and put your hand in mine
Flash…picture is taken and my, my, my she is so divine
How’d I get so lucky to call you mine
Low key maybe high key we’re married and I’m still crushing on you
Writing this a little past year two
Pictures in a group but I only see you
You blinked, ok take two, oops I wasn’t ready take three
No matter how many takes the pictures will always be perfect as long as it’s you and me
p.s. click…I’m going to tattoo this mental picture…

There lies a Myth,
Low key I can hear it breathe,
A Prodigy probably
has hit a beat.
Stay-ing have layers
I can own up saying I didn’t ,
Wish to Say,
Low key I am held in it.
Lay lit behind
I don’t wish to Shine,
Watch me Watch over
the Vantablack sky.
I will be just one step behind.
A Deceiver
Let me Pass by,
You Build
the story to the rise
and I will define Night.
Low key I can hear me Breathe,
Me Stay-ing behind
My child can take the Lead,
That Shine probably
possess power to let See,
although the first Rays
Resulted in my Conceal.
The Prodigy of self made you become,
Low key I am no more held in it,
The Story to this Night
Prospers prior One step Behind.
