What keeps me going

Milk froth in my espresso
Cozy pup, curled at my feet
An overpriced throw
And weathered, leather seat

Windows, east and west
Flood sunshine, all day long
Here, snuggled in my nest
Is where my soul belongs

Bare feet upon green grass
Warmed by light of day
A gentle wind, but fast
Keeps the heat at bay

Shade beneath the trees
A midday light respite
Safe, beneath the leaves
A lovely time to write

And when the sun descends
A cocktail is awaiting
Chatter, soon begins
And mild, low key, debating

No small talk around
Just opinions and depth
True passion is the sound
Heard between each breath

A warm and savory meal
As evening turns to night
A comfort, one can feel
It hits the spot just right

Don't forget to walk the pup:) Probably the highlight of the day, no doubt. LOL Nice to read you again. I hope all is well with you, Anna.
