How long did it take her to be free?
How long did it take
For the wingless dragonfly to finally open her heart to the world
How long did it take for her to overcome Devil’s workshop
Slowly caressing her retinas
With silky daffodils and two-faced tulips
Where
Now
She dives into a glistening pool of complicated risk
Opening her atrium to the masses
Shedding incumbent teardrops
Just for that one standing ovation
To SET
HER
FREE!
It was then
Where pieces of plastic chains fell from demure stratosphere
Dented taps, similar to a shoeless dancer,
Setting off bass tones and low-key monotony
For she was
One cholesterol filled syllable short
To be genuine
One tearful, hyphenated lyric
Too blunt
To be embraced by their “god”
One dilapidated vowel shy
Of being honest
Her diary didn’t have enough pages torn
From emerald sanity
There were too many “Wows”,
Diluting into disingenuous shoulder pats
Her stanza pushed aside
A glorified booty call with no call back number
Leaving messages towards empty dial tones
…
How long will it take her to be free?
Until she looks up
Knowing she already holds the key

Let's start this issue with hard facts
believe it or not the seed is now planted
from our Lord's spoken words lets address this world openly honest
It only fills us with the wind and the emptiness of pride
Now lets count the cost of innocent lives
through greed and human sacrifice
corrupted where peace no longer exists a humane body of love
Divine lightening is coming with it we lock our doors
the three dark days of darkness lets not forget
when His Supreme Justice falls into chaos
The sins of this time outweigh past chastisements
The wrath of His force is Almighty has never been seen before
when slaying the dragon crushing him with His Power
The low key figure that he is we need to bolt our doors shut soon
as this world is in deep turmoil no one reads the sign of the cross
He who is coming our Jerusalem King and Saviour Sweet Son of the Father
In Spirit baptised and confirmed by the spear of Destiny
striking down petition once and for all
eternity in that battlefield we will lose some of those whom you loved dearly
Into the end prayer could not save them
from this awful emptiness left behind under a trail of smoke
remains shamed tears of choice under ashes blown away

Lovely blossoms of bougainvillea
Under a moonlight serenade
Ostensibly I contemplate the root
Of the affinity drawing me to you
Abiding fighter and bounteous lover
Rendering your essence freely
For the love of the gift
Candid without a care
Asking for less than nothing really
A few drops of water enough for sustenance
You have no scent nothing to call your own
Or to flaunt your offering
Subtle faint understated and low-key
Waiting to be discovered
To be loved and treasured
Simply for what you are
And not for guiles ruses or ploys
Swaying silently you wait as I
In the moonlit summer breeze

Wake up
Stop dreaming
Hear the birds chirping
Thank God for the blessings
Each breath is a gift
Breathe in
Focus on your role
Hit the core with a heart of gold
Stay low-key, no time to envy
Seek discipline
Kneel to the Man who never sinned
Son of God, the true King of kings
The wind is blowing and the rain drop on your skin
Your soul is roaring with the sound of thunder and lightning
Here comes the rainbow
Oh feel the evening breeze
Look at that sunset
The heavens declare His Glory
Shine in the dark
The moon and the night sky reflect fire in your eyes
So wake up and blaze them up
Yeah, we've been astray, deceived and betrayed
Embrace the pain
Be born again
Break the chain
Tend and mend the broken to be the unshaken
Yeah, do or die, you and I, heads held high
Look, morning star His Art is so great
Let's drive through the blue fifth-mile street
Reviving our souls with the sound of gospel beat
Roll down the window
Can you feel the morning breeze?
Here comes the sunrise
The heavens declare His Glory

Ode
Alone together, we enjoy our time
and mostly we act naturally well.
We can be seriously funny too,
but deafening silence is hard to quell.
Found missing sometimes, a minor crisis of
impossible solutions that are made,
like eating tasty, tender jumbo shrimp
along with hot chili and marmalade.
And quite deceptively honest are we...
good grief, we are what's called terribly good.
Low-key, festive tranquility is ours;
we never are clearly misunderstood.
So pleased to be each other's larger half...
sweet-tart and butt-head, we are such a pair;
tight slacks, light tanks, and we are good to go.
Life's magic realism we do share.

Verse
Lazily musing on the bank of a gently flowing stream,
I mulled upon life: was it reality or naught but a dream?
Then at the moment I pondered, what and why?
I heard a musical chorus from somewhere nearby.
Though immersed in reverie, I became aware,
it was Nature, I could hear borne upon the air.
Firstly the drumming, of a Woodpecker’s tattoo,
aroused me to ask of myself - what, where and who,
chose this peaceful, summer afternoon to play
harmonic rhapsodies, on this warm summer's day?
Next came the low humming of swarming bees
seeking a new home, in the overhanging trees.
With low-key droning, they enhanced the melody,
and provided basic fundamentals, to the rhapsody.
When a flock of songbirds, added their melodious tune,
I knew I was favoured by nature, that afternoon!
When frogs in chorus added their courting song,
to join Blue Jays shrilling, I knew it would not be long
before others would arrive to add their melodic call
to bestow talents, which would be welcomed by all.
Next Mourning Doves, singing of love in a soft duet,
gave cause to wonder, if perhaps I'd hear a minuet?
At this moment Skylarks, performing an aerial ballet,
reached new heights, in a brilliant, aerobatic, display!
This latest addition to the fast growing choral group
was the ultimate perfection. As members of the troupe
continued unabated, suddenly a clap of thunder heard,
brought the chorus to an end, and every beast, bird,
bee, insect and even the breeze was stayed!
As they all left, I was saddened and dismayed,
for Nature's orchestra that I had heard this day,
was possessed of talents, seldom heard this way.
It left me wondering if it had been a dream,
that I had enjoyed as I dozed by the stream?
But further thought was cut short, as the hush
was a reminder rain approached. So left in a rush!

We heard the voice
Of the talking anus
Beat like a light drum
Where saints were gathered.
But suddenly the stench hovered
And all hands drove close
To prevent the odour through the nose
Because the beats became filthy
All tones pitched a low key.
Everywhere boomed with bad odour
That shut every mouth like a door
At the noise of the anus that talked.
Even – the smell gave my pen
Inspiration to write this poem.

My concrere rose
Stone in single file under the rock;
Scraping purple sea shells under the dock.
The seeds scattered all but one spot,
Blossom bloom, blowing memories.
Fading illusion I had company;
A brother that look out for me,
A sister that look up to me,
A mother might seek the best for me
But I'm shadow torn
Blades mince the dice in me.
Gambling games there's no lucky three.
Losing spree I've already lost the soul in me.
I'm dust; call me soil erosion
I'm living low key grandstand
With these voices in my head I can't translate.
Explain, words I don't understand
Nobody there but the walls speak.
Alone street geared with nothing but
Weak.
Wishing I'll fall asleep;
Enter a very lucid dream,
Victim to a trance unique,
Buried in tunnel so deep,
To sprout from a funnel unusually
Steep.
A concrete rose
With a smell of ease
Sprouting from gravel grapevine.
Untwisting
Death peace.

When it boils down to the truth taking a platform
the words Jesus speaks deeply to me
Most assuredly I say to you
before Abrabham was I am
there is no one before Him or after Him
In my books He is Alpha and Omega
clearly from this statement our Lord says
I am the first and I am the last
besides Me there is no God
Picking up the stones under blasphemy laws
being a man trying to make yourself a god low key
speaks for itself the worth you attach to life
for what works do you label someone
is it for the value or beliefs held inside
for every attack is on Love by hate
and our King holds the keys of Hades and of Death

A CONTROLLER BUT NOT UP INSIDE OF MY SKIN

Verse
So my friend said his sister was saying her vows
In a low key church ceremony three weeks from now
No parties, no showers, no flowers, no muss
But I thought to myself she deserved a small fuss!
So I planned a surprise that would redden her face
A Bachelorette Party so hot and debase
She would never forget for the rest of her days
That wee bit of naughty before strict married ways.
I invited her over to casually dine
And not knowing her friends, I invited all mine.
I decorated the place with men's private parts
And hired a stripper from "Bachelor of Darts."
She arrived right on time, a quarter past seven
And I found my friend's sis was a slice out of heaven
And that description is not the slightest bit shabby
As his "sister" was a nun from the neighborhood abbey!
I welcomed her whilst I was gesturing frantically
For my friends to hide all that would shame me gigantically
And to their credit they did, even cancelled the stripper
And we dined and chatted til I was feeling quite chipper
We finished the meal, and I went to the loo
When suddenly a scream went up from my crew
I ran to see sister slumped, white as a ghost
And a room full of people hysterical almost
There in front of the nun sat the special dessert
I had ordered before meeting the sweet Sister Gert
It was fully erect, took a long time to make
And for the first time I found myself regretting cake!!!

Was a liar
A very clever one,
People excepted him,
Took him at face value,
Fitted in,
They seemed to like him,
Kept a low key,
Worked undercover,
Got himself a good name,
All the time weaving his web,
Pretending to be something he wasn’t,
On the surface, he shone
Underneath shallow,
He made a living
Out of pretense,
Earning plenty of money,
Thinking no one would suspect,
He continued without shame,
Thought he was great,
The real thing,
His life was a sham,
Fools gold deceived many,

Sexual immorality
I've been sexually harassed so many times but because I thought it was attention,
it felt fun.
See because society has painted flirting to be more of a sexual pleasure than what is,
So honestly, I never could tell the difference.
But what does it matter if I'm part time celibate.
I'm picky about who I want to penetrate me.
I'm part time Christian because I proclaim sexual abstinence,
But when it comes to certain people from the male species I give in.
So does it really count if someone who made me feel uncomfortable touches me in a way I prefer he didn't.
I guess it doesn't since I can be a sexual hypocrite.
I don't want him to make my blood boil because I guess before I give in, I have to lay down rules that I'll probably bend for you because your case was too convincing and I wasn't strong enough to withhold myself from everything you are.
I wasn't strong enough to realise I'm losing everything in me for the this little moment that could ruin everything.
I wasn't strong enough to tell you that I did it all so you couldn't leave me.
So I guess in my mind all of this is to protect me from looking too easy.
I guess I'm not easy because I could make you wait long enough to see you move on and break down because you no longer give me attention.
I have been sexually harassed 3 times in my entire life because all those times he thought we were having sex, he was fxcking a dead body that just wanted to please him,
But ruining a soul that just wanted to love him.
