I am not my father's princess
Nor my mother's lookalike
I am but a warrior, born to fight
In this world where every action counts
The dark misty place, a child of light
A lot to laugh for, a lot to cry for
But all i need is the love for forever and more
A star so bright
Its inner strength full of might
A flower that blooms with dignity
All it waits for is its name written in eternity
All they see is a scar, but the story behind
and her ideals all seem bizzare
She was different
She knew her worth
She wasn't one to shoulder
All the miseries and falter
At last, a warrior is born!

Eyebags forming.
Dilated pupils.
The one starting pulling away.
Leg-crossed and the hand supporting the chin.
The right arm falls in imbalance.
Leg does not stop moving back and forth.
So quick turning excitement into torture.
Searching the whole river in the eyes
was reached.
Now it‘s just a motionless navy blue.
Welcoming the seabird to stop and scream for him.
Came near attacking and steal my lovely hat.
Even my tears have a better taste.
Typical blue eyes did not respond much.
What have my pupils just read?
Am I yearning too much?
Is he one of the others or the man?
My bebi how I call them?
The wave shall again come and drown me.
Even though no one pulled me in the boat.
My lookalike man begged me.
But I refused.
His, my hat, falling in on my face gently like a feather.
Shielding my eyes from witnessing incoming danger.
The look with such sincerity.
He would turn it into a flirt.
But him, like he is meeting his final farewell.
A complete stranger.
With the same survival instinct like me.

S uch a golden jubilee, across the vast floral sea s,
U ndulates in waves of butterfly breezes, imprompt u-
N ourished all summer by the honeyed, lookalike su n,
F ervently worshipful groupies, to all others aloo f!
L ithe, elegant and lovely, its seeds very healthfu l,
O ne-of-a-kind, smiley faced bloom, in a meadow cond o.
W ith colors red, orange and white, as well as yello w,
E nchanting any passersby, of a singing field ablaz e,
R osy dusk skies lend added glory, to colorful grandeu r!

Doppelgänger
by Michael R. Burch
Here the only anguish
is the bedraggled vetch lying strangled in weeds,
the customary sorrows of the wild persimmons,
the whispered complaints of the stately willow trees
disentangling their fine lank hair,
and what is past.
I find you here, one of many things lost,
that, if we do not recover, will undoubtedly vanish forever ...
now only this unfortunate stone,
this pale, disintegrate mass,
this destiny, this unexpected shiver,
this name we share.

Why Oh Why Oh Me.
Oh why oh why do have so much bad luck
My hands are tied
My feet are stuck
I’d be much better off being Mr Bean
Or Donald duck
Than me
I try so damn hard to move forward
But I always get knocked back
And if the road ahead was paved with gold
I’d fall between a crack
Nothing goes right
Everything goes wrong
I’d come last in my own lookalike completion
And I’m as popular with women
As King Kong
Why me what did I do wrong?
I feel like a caged songbird
Who never had a song
I wanted to be an Eagle
But I'm more like a Beagle
With a very wet nose
I’m fed up and frustrated
Condemned and so underrated
Unwanted just not good enough
A hasbeen an emotional punch bag
A failed comedienne
Without a gag
A sinking ship
A Rat caught in a trap
Ten steps forward a hundred back
An unwanted puppy
Drowning in a sack
A penniless beggar
With an empty cup
Only dark clouds and rain
When I look up
A prisoner on death row waiting to die
With no lookalike
Why oh why me
Cursed at birth
To live a life of misery.

DEATH BY TEA TOWEL
The WANTED posters in the Flyland corridor
Tell of the unsolved murder case involving Uncle Theodore,
Squashed with a wet tea towel in an execution-style fatal attack.
His crime? Walking on a meat and salad snack.
Flypolice have prepared a lookalike sketch (which may scare)
Of the killer : big white legs with no hair;
Optics - only two, not complex - with glasses over the eye,
No wings - apparently unable to fly.
Armed and dangerous. Carries rolled-up newspaper or wet tea towels.
Do not approach, but call C S I Flyland - the professionals.

Was told my dog Rover chased someone on a bike
Can't be true, he hasn't ridden a bike since he was a tike
People causing trouble
Makes em unloveable
Did you ever think it could be a Rover lookalike

Still here, watching television
Still here, lamenting my self
Nowhere to run, just stay left
Without any vision
Soundless meant to death
And rebellious sound meant to deadly death
I am forced to listen to a song, a lookalike-soldier song
Burn reason without a grain of ash remained
I am embraced to praise
Or I am locked to speak hatred
And whatever I am being, it is a determination
An empty heart
An empty mind
This soul and spirit died in dreaming body
And with this all limitations, I would die
Completely die, and without any perfume or camphor
I would open this windows and doors
Let wind and bullet at once coming inside
I would be here, and stay still
Without praise and hate speech
And I would defend my country
Sound from underworld to be more heard
Freezing praise, freezing hate speech

Weather in May has been anything but May-like
Low temps, even snow, think I'll take a hike
Head down south
With sunshine I'll douse
This gorgeous bod, a Tom Cruise lookalike

My James Dean lookalike
Where are you tonight?
Do you remember my smile?
As I lived within yours
Those walks downtown
A granola bar, a cigarette and me
Initials within a heart, while playing guitar
Three years ended within movie star memoir
Photograph memories of love
Everywhere, what I wouldn't give to see my James Dean

Would run you a hot bath
Bubbles up to your chin
Bottle of wine chilling
If you'd let me win
Would ask a sexy hunk
To sponge your back
Say sweet words in your ears
Bet you'd like that
Please can I win.
After the bath a nice massage,
By A film star lookalike
Any extras can be charged
Wink wink now can I win
Can make a video or two
You as the dream girl
A leading man with a bit of rough
Being sensual with you
Please please let me win
How about a two seater sports car
With a lean mean chauffeur
He can take you far
Journey of your own making
Please make my poem a star.
When your day is through
You can go on having fun
In a big bed for two
Now can I have that crown
One more trick up my sleeve
Would you like a Pentax 645x Camera to keep
I understand it's not cheap
But would be worth buying you,
if you let me win.

Sandra was ready to PLAY
but she told me to go far AWAY
A beauty school QUEEN
would be embarrassed to be SEEN
"You're just not my type,Rodger...if ya know what I MEAN?!"
Ok..so I am not quite the STUD
But at least i'm no Elmer FUDD
Nerds hate to be picked out
however, they are no stick in the MUD
She cherishes RICK
Even though he acts like a -ICK
His Abs are lean and MEAN
A Tom Selleck lookalike MACHINE
They like to blow FACE
and spray me with her can of MACE
This four-eyed man with his pocket protector
Just got burnt by Society's perfect RACE
A chump out of SCHOOL
He is forever a FOOL
The Lasses want tight ASSES
Not a simpleton who can't help but DROOL
The world can kick THEE
Middle-class bullies still pick on ME
I only answer to the man(upstairs)
He's the only one to set me FREE
