Impartial
litigation is what
sustains democracies
Kangaroo courts are what
sustain tyrannies
Does the judge
represent the rule
of law or the decision
of an autocrat?
Tyranny flourishes
when decent people
do nothing

Those defending
the dictator
pirouette with a
nonchalant indifference
as the tappers stamp
defending their case
for justice with a determined
fierce percussion

With their hands in the air
The jurors must make their
decision, observing, confusion,
is there a resolution?
What shows a judge’s gavel impatience
Ultimately, we the jury are the people
Autocracy or democracy?

Legal eagle talks fast
Little lies often passed
Litigation - cash cow
Loads of money - and how
Larcenists? All have rights
Lost the case? Still sleeps nights
Lamborghini? Outside

Sneakered

In Air Jorden’s he strode proud,
with name-brands he stood
apart.

In closets
sneakers walked
not far from their boxes.

Heel to toe stock grew

Well known on eBay,
to barter, trade and pay
he paved the way

Fake stuff,
imitations led to
litigation
financial gloom.

Nike rued the day
his wife
put down her foot
gave him what for,

then ran away

in cut-price
              footwear.

King Poet of My Domain

I live on permanent Sundays
with my love from the past
in constant litigation
with my future announced
I'm a renewed hermit
for admired dreams,
my horizon surpasses
the arch of my bedroom....
I am content as i can be
famous poet of my Domain soul !

To Want a Miracle

I can't help but tip my hat to those who,
By their own little equation,
Surround themselves in facades by the masses of litigation.
To think that the world likes you,
Perhaps it does give a wave of glee,
Up in the silver clouds with nothing to flee.

Often i find myself looking up, be it out a window or outside,
here standing alone on the plain,
Facades but a myth for they only drain.
Drain i tell you as we wander, lost of ourselves
Squeeze out every ounce of perfection and grace
Almost as if the fragile tearing of lace.

Though i can't help but admit,
That temptation of happiness and wonder
It leaves me standing yonder,
Just a little bit longer in the hopes of something,
Anything this world has to give,
So i can finally live,
breath freely among the many flocks of birds,
And take it all in, this world i'm in.

To fit a narrative many manipulate facts,
thinking what’s the harm, in a little white lie.
No more can we trust in our verbal contracts,
and unwritten accords no longer apply.

Today, a person’s word isn’t considered a bond,
and without ability to separate falsehoods from fact.
Presently, we can’t trace where a lie was spawned,
nor can we repair once the egg’s been cracked.

On cable news channels stories seem to appear,
where many are repeated, accepted as truth.
Because it’s in line with what we want to hear,
and we, like others, are seen as being uncouth.

Each undertaking, now requires an attorney,
we’re treated as sheep, penned up for slaughter.
Litigation has become a part of our journey,
we’re seen as waste, and flushed like toilet water.

*John 8:32
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Advocates joining Bar Association
Wisdom and wittiness marks good litigation
Years of experience deepen skills in profession
Execution of duty with sincere participation
Respectful to court but no fearful implication
Serving and protecting justice is main intention

Premium Member Courthouse Shuffle

Aloofness tangible
No one looks up
Rushing from
One hearing court
To another
Judges in robes
Looking stern and grim
Lawyers dressed in uniform
Parading in formal gown and collar
Such tension in the air
Everyone here
Has business to tend to
None of it pleasant
I would venture to guess
If these marble floors
Could share the secrets
Of shoes that walked across them
Pacing racing pounding scuffing
Litigation mitigation
Chasing justice of the peace

There are some who defend plagiarism,
quite puzzling indeed.
What are the TBP thinking,
why even plant that seed?

Forgiveness I understand,
there are many deeds done wrong.
But Plagiarism in Poetry?
Well it just doesn't belong.

You can write your own words,
bring them straight from your heart.
Now that's good poetry my friends,
and it's a damn good start.

Quotation marks are wonderful,
they will keep your poem from heading south.
But please don't lie,
and put words in one's mouth.

Slander and libel,
these are strong words as well.
Be careful of what you accuse,
for that could deliver a nasty spell.

Writing threats of litigation,
on a public forum without proof.
That's a slippery slope,
and your credibility will just go POOF!

Trinity

Going by the way I dare to make.
He looks at me.
Everyday of puzzles and quest for a wife.
He looks at me.

Do the talking and the signing.
He stood to watch.
Laughter and affection secured.
He stood to watch.

And getting to the peak of love.
He changed the plan.
The need to get the hint,
That man proposes while God disposes.

This no man can understand.
Except haven't gone through the Trinity of the creator.

He speaks, yeah he speaks.
The cane of lack of peace if disobeyed.
His ways none can comprehend.
The wisdom of man is his foolishness.

Knock, knock and knock!
Is his call in your heart for a holy matrimony.
Not as those that after the waste end in litigation.
Through his love the son came for everlasting joy.
Hope you are set for an impact?

Reservations

Your concepts of hygiene are questionable
Showering before work is a viable solution
We live in a civilization with rules and soap
Caveman ways are no longer acceptable

As your boss I have to be clear
We value you at the lowest level
Your performance of late is poor
Let me come straight to the point

You are no longer employed with us
That is not to say we don't like you
We will say it to avoid litigation
The best way to say it is to say nothing

This is not a restaurant
This is not a menu
But I have reservations
And they are about you
