Sophie and her family
Had once found
Two sicklish cub lionesses
In the forest.
And had decided to take them home;
They had a big garden.
So her father and she
Had decided to keep them;
The lionesses
Not only turned up healthy
But they even made cubs;
Sophie would go
And spend time with them
Regularly;
One day when she walked
Outside in the garden
And found the cubs reading the bible;
She got surprised;
«They are reading the bible?»
«My father has made them read the bible!»
«He certainly has got sense of humor!»
She thought to herself;
«What a prank!»
She made her way in the main road;
Meanwhile one of the cubs whispered to the other
Something about sin and eternal life;
«Just imagine the surprise of the lionesses,
When they see them.»
She said to herself;
She had walked for a while,
But then decided,
That she would take the book away from them;
But when she returned,
She already found them chewing
And biting on the book;

since i'm not afraid of anything ~ could that mean i’ve nothing to fear
said the cub to his mother who replied ~ oh sure son its why i'm here
today daddy told me we’ve no conscience ~ i thought it was insincere
remember son if a young gun takes him out ~ you too shall disappear
what about you mum ~ i become estrous and get taken from the rear

When a new pretender takes over or defeats
the alpha male of a pride, he usually kills all
his cubs too, one might think the lionesses would
hate him, but they immediately become
estrous and submit themselves to their new
master, and the cycle begins all over again

The old male lion awakes,
lifts his great head,
but it is midday and so he sleeps yet more.
Come the night his lionesses will hunt
while the king fends off
other male pretenders to his throne.
The female lions perhaps wonder,
(as they stalk and leap),
how soon will the old lion weaken and die,
how soon will the pride have
a new and stronger leader?
At this point some may wonder
what to do with the notion of love?
The night is long, blood -hungers
hunt a passionate intimacy,
and few escape that kind of love.
Love itself is kept for the cubs
that in turn one day
may drive away their mothers.

The ‘lionesses’ lost to Spain
Spain’s players are quaffing champagne
I may be unkind
But was the ref’s blind
My reasoning may be insane
I googled the Penso surname
The origin could be from Spain
Perhaps there’s some bias
So Spaniard's could Gaius
From watching finals I’ll abstain!

Congratulations to Spain, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 Champions (in their first-ever Women's World Cup Final), after defeating England 1-0 today! Congratulations also to The Lionesses. In addition to winning the European Championship last year, this is the first time England reached the Women's World Cup championship, and it is also the first time an England team has reached a World Cup final since the men's team won in 1966. So Spain and England can stand proud as game changers, in harmony with this year's World Cup theme: "Beyond Greatness!"

It's a ball and you kick it
Seems simple enough
But it's more than a game
'cos you have to be tough
I'm not talking a buzz-cut
Or some scars from a fight
For this resolve is internal
Overlook it, you might
You may cuss, scowl or spit
That doesn't impress
Now this game's claimed by women
Swapping shorts from a dress
And the girls that will follow
In their thousands for sure
In competitive joy
This old game has it's cure:
It is teamwork and faith
It is laughter and tears
It is training like crazy
It is banishing fears
There's never been greater
A reason or rhyme
To describe this potential..
Ladies - this is your time
For the men have inspired us
Reaching dizzying heights
But the women converting
So many wrongs into rights
Take tenacity, love
Add a wholesome respect
Work ethic unriveled
With the fans they connect
Crossing boundaries, restoring
All that seemed far apart
The game has been longing for
This feminine heart

England’s coach, Sarina Wiegman’s decision to switch from their regular 4-2-3-1 formation to a 3-5-2 formation was a brilliant move that confused and frustrated China the entire match. With their 6 -1 victory, England remain at the top of Group D and move on to the knockout stages. This is the first time China have been eliminated from group stage during their eight Women's World Cup appearances.

United States had looked defeated after Netherlands' Jill Roord scored a goal in the 17th minute, the first time United States trailed in a World Cup game since the 2011 quarterfinals. In the second half Lindsey Horan became angry after a hard tackle by Netherlands’ van de Donk. Minutes later Lindsey scored the equalizer on a thunderous header.

The seagull cries
pleading the right of birds
An Aladdin's
jibe to overcome plight
Rugged flights to fill your soul
The Madman's voice
and his lack of choice
drills the silence
His fingers stiff with sentences
hollow words I don't understand
The Winter chaff casts a slipping land
The Lantern on the hill anoints lionesses
Commuting to overcome the earth

Over little mothers fret:
Their babies who still beds wet;
Lionesses in A Net!
Its stoppage they’d celebrate:
High time their doctor they met
And out their frustrations let…
And Doc begins to Mum pet,
Drying tear-filled eyes long wet:
Some placebo drug would get
And Fine Solution is set!
“Babes shall pee; I did no bet:
Time frees them from The odd Net
Only trying to help eyes wet”
Doctors’ Credit Alert get:
They won’t reject them, I’d bet!

What's a girl to do?
With no knight and shining armor,
I'm here to tell you.
Women don't need a knight and shining armor.
Women are strong!
Women are brave!
They are the Lionesses of the pack.
Women can be fierce!
We will chew you up and spit you out,
If you hurt, their own.
The Lionesses are the ones that hold their family together,
They control all.
They don't need a king to save them.
Because they have already saved themselves.
We are the queens of the universe.
The king of the pack,
is just a pleasant perk.
What a king can do,
A queen can do better.
No knight and shining armor needed.
I am the King and Queen of my own domain,
Hear me roar.
That's a warning.
To step back and let me do my own.
I don't need no knight and shining armor,
To tell me I'm worthy.
Neither do all the lionesses of the world.
STRONG, FIERCE, PROTECIVE,
Is what all women are.

Where are all the women
the moon-eyed lionesses,
the stampeding herds of udders, vulvas, and horns
that tears the earth and trampled the serpents and scorpions?
Where are the mother bears that rip the ruby bark from the bodies of predators?
Where are all the women
ready to drown bad men in their menses?
Where are the Valkyrie
spears held high
iron breasts as bright as the sun-lit frost of Valhalla?
Where are the daughters of Shango,
that sharpen the double axe to take the life of the two faced thief?
Where is that rage that moves mountains
reshapes the world with fire?
Where are the women that are the waves of the weepless sea that pickles the eyes of arrogant men
and feeds the reef with their flesh?
Where are our warriors?
Where are our demons?
Where are our humans that are not too good to save the world?

They look pretty unassuming, mild, bland even the young boy said.
His father looked at his grandfather; they shared a silent laugh.
Tell us how unassuming they are after you grow up and cross one of them.
Or after you do anything at all that displeases one of them, the grandfather added.
They are lionesses, hurricanes, queens, owls, tsunamis, snakes and fevers.
The young boy stared at them. But aren’t Mommy and Grandma girls?
Women boy! Never forget that.
His sister came out and told all three of them off.
Woman in training, and she was only four.

LEONARDO
Lion, known well as King of the beasts,
Exemplary in strength and brawn,
Obdurate, he knows his passionate will as
Nature calls from his haughty roar has
Animals running and hiding with fear.
Regarded and revered by his pride and
Diurnal in his grassland habitat, he is protector
Of his pride, dines on meals his lionesses provide.

I have picked up a scent, something's been killed
And I can hear my feline foes growling still
I trot off to the scene with bloodthirsty zeal
Hoping to purloin a fresh meal
At the scene, four lionesses are having a feast
On the flesh of a hapless wildebeest
Others from my clan are gathering now
Laughing like crazy and ready to chow
The felines are not ready to give up their kill
A battle ensues and more blood is spilled
The lionesses have no choice but to flee
My laughter is chilling and filled with glee
Then I settle down to enjoy the feast
Having no concerns in the least
But two lions are charging in to settle the score
My bones rattle at the sound of their roar!
