::parental advisory:: on lion content::

since i'm not afraid of anything ~ could that mean i’ve nothing to fear

said the cub to his mother who replied ~ oh sure son its why i'm here

today daddy told me we’ve no conscience ~ i thought it was insincere

remember son if a young gun takes him out ~ you too shall disappear

what about you mum ~ i become estrous and get taken from the rear

By
David Kavanagh

When a new pretender takes over or defeats
the alpha male of a pride, he usually kills all
his cubs too, one might think the lionesses would
hate him, but they immediately become
estrous and submit themselves to their new
master, and the cycle begins all over again

Interesting observation of the animal kingdom. We don't know the half of it, it seems.

True Victor, we can observe them but never judge, cheers David

The animal kingdom is just that a Kingdom of the fittest which you proved and more. There is no democracy. Lion is King and lioness submits herself to him. Domestic Mother cat eats her deformed kittens, not to attract predators. I've never heard of resistance and lioness's rights in the animal world! Blame the creator. Biomimetic robots are designed to interact with real animals, allowing researchers to gain insights into animal behavior and social interactions. Another mind-blowing Monoku/Mono David

Thanks so much Anaya for such an insightful and engaging comment, all animals have found their niche, by learning whatever works, is the best way for them to thrive, we just witness and observe their behaviour, and at first glance it appears unbelievably cruel, but it’s not it’s actually their strongpoint, and secret to success, we are the only gratuitously cruel species on this planet, we can choose to change, but from what I see every day, we are as cruel now as we ever were, thanks for the heads up on Biomimetic robots, I will definitely check them out, cheers David

Causes one to pause and take a breath...contemplate the implications of such instinctive behaviour. In a raw sense, seems merciless to us...humans however inflict far greater harm not out of guiltless instinct, but by manipulating reason to provide a sham cause, a justification where there is none. Great poem David, got the cells working.

Great to hear this one got your cells working Paul, when looked at deeper this crude and clinical Monoku, actually says more about humans than lions, I somehow don’t think the Lion king would have been such a huge success if it was based on this truth! we are master manipulators I agree, thanks for stopping by with wise words, cheers David

Your verse incriminates Adam since he's given credit for naming all the wild creatures.... kinda off the chart, but my thought is that a group of lions is called a 'pride', yet where is the pride in a female who allows her new alpha male to murder her young and then give him cart blanche to her body? My parental advisory... protect the young, keep the male hostage for use when wanted or needed. Seriously.

And we have more to fear from humans than from anything else. The law of the jungle rules man and beast. Have a sweet weekend, David.

I understand Lin she will do her best to try hide the cub from him, but he will find and kill it eventually when she goes hunting, he is much more powerful than her, and would kill her too if she tried tackle him, truth is Lin the lions have more to fear from man, than each other, thanks for your humane human comment cheers David

Heya Paula, and thank you for seeing past the superficial face of this one, indeed it goes a lot deeper than what appears at first glance, i’m certainly not judging or making fun of their methods cheers David
