LEONARDO

Lion, known well as King of the beasts,
Exemplary in strength and brawn,
Obdurate, he knows his passionate will as
Nature calls from his haughty roar has
Animals running and hiding with fear.
Regarded and revered by his pride and
Diurnal in his grassland habitat, he is protector
Of his pride, dines on meals his lionesses provide.

The Mane Event - On The Catwalk

And now for something completely different! I invite you to experience this unique blend of music, where this dynamic video brings to life the essence of anthropomorphism, in an entertaining portrayal, highlighting creatures with human-like traits - a total figment of my fertile imagination.

Meet a lion 'With Attitude' so regal and fierce, as he prowls and sets the 'Catwalk' ablaze with his mighty roar, leaving a trail of awe, admiration and respect of the other jungle animals, and capturing the hearts of the lionesses. It's an auditory and visual feast, playing with themes of royalty, bravado, and humour.

Step into the vibrant spectacle of a jungle runway, 'The Mane Event'- On The Catwalk, a Blues Rock anthem bursting with charisma and wit, entertained by an elegantly dressed animal band and set to the gritty and soulful sounds and combines electric guitar riffs with stomping beats and deep, smoky vocals, inspired by iconic figures like the MGM lion. It combines realism with playful, cartoon-like elements set in a fantastical realm.

How does this bold and cheeky lion 'With Attitude' resonate with you? Could you see him becoming a legend on the animal runway?

Dusk In the Mara

Alas! 'Tis the lionesses out to hunt
And the Mara antelopes out of luck
That trouble your vision, me friend.
Come, let's quick to our tent,
Lest the crouching queen,
And the scheming king,
Find us in the wind
Curious friend
Of the Mara
Come
Oh

Oh Foolish Man

Oh foolish man,
how dare you interpret your
Manly roar
To a lionesses protection
Oh, foolish man
If only you could see into a
 female's heart,
How fierce, how noble, how pure,
It's very being, vibrating with love
With hope, and sometimes, yes, with blindness,
Oh, how we suffer,
only to produce another, possible
foolish man into the world
oh, think twice,
Just another day in living
In your own fool's paradise

Premium Member The Hyena

I have picked up a scent, something's been killed
And I can hear my feline foes growling still
I trot off to the scene with bloodthirsty zeal
Hoping to purloin a fresh meal

At the scene, four lionesses are having a feast
On the flesh of a hapless wildebeest
Others from my clan are gathering now
Laughing like crazy and ready to chow

The felines are not ready to give up their kill
A battle ensues and more blood is spilled
The lionesses have no choice but to flee
My laughter is chilling and filled with glee

Then I settle down to enjoy the feast
Having no concerns in the least
But two lions are charging in to settle the score
My bones rattle at the sound of their roar!

It's a ball and you kick it
Seems simple enough
But it's more than a game
'cos you have to be tough

I'm not talking a buzz-cut
Or some scars from a fight
For this resolve is internal
Overlook it, you might

You may cuss, scowl or spit
That doesn't impress
Now this game's claimed by women
Swapping shorts from a dress

And the girls that will follow
In their thousands for sure
In competitive joy
This old game has it's cure:

It is teamwork and faith
It is laughter and tears
It is training like crazy
It is banishing fears

There's never been greater
A reason or rhyme
To describe this potential..
Ladies - this is your time

For the men have inspired us
Reaching dizzying heights
But the women converting
So many wrongs into rights

Take tenacity, love
Add a wholesome respect
Work ethic unriveled
With the fans they connect

Crossing boundaries, restoring
All that seemed far apart
The game has been longing for
This feminine heart

Premium Member - I Am the Lion - Who Are You -

King of the animales!
This is the easiest way to describe a lion
It likes to bask in their brilliance
Lions are big cats with a short tawny coat
which is lighter on the underside
White lions occur - but they are not albinos
Lions are outgoing and everybody's favorites

All lions have claws retractable
Mine is decorated with nail polish
Lion's element is fire
Energy - intuition - power
The typical lion is creative - strong-willed
temperamental and dramatic

The weight of a lion is considered normal 160-275 kg
I try to stay under 60 kg
The average age 17-18 years among lionesses
but there are examples where they can be closer to 21 years old
Males are often around 16 years old
Die young and beautiful

The best hunters in a lion pride is the lionesses
Yes, I feel like a hunter every time I go in the store
An adult male lion can eat up to 43 kg of meat in one day
My male lion must get by with much less
... Imagine if my male lion was 275 kg
The male lion is polite and patient externally
but arrogant and vain inside
He is impulsive and good at repairing things

Can you roar like a lion
The lions are among the best roar holders
An adult lion's roar can be heard up to 8 km distance
Dinner .... finished ..... come and eat!!!
We as humans makes sure that the children receive food
But in the world of lions the adults eat before the kids
Stability and stubbornness - scratch and dent in the trees
marks their area - putting the wedding ring on the finger
My fate planet is the sun -
My luck stone is the diamond
I have a great temperament and a huge demand for attention

But I am among many well known and famous LIONS:
Crown Princess Mette-Marit (Norway), Mick Jagger, Napoleon Bonaparte
Fidel Castro, Bill Clinton, Moussolini, Jacquelin Kennedy
Carl Jung, Alfred Hitchcock and Arnold Schwarzenegger

Premium Member Take Over

For weeks now the two young males had been watching,
waiting for their opportunity and now it was time.
They were now strong enough to take over the pride.
Signalling his intent to his brother Moto stood up
and started forward with Javier following behind.
As the reached the pride a battle royal ensued
The lionesses desperate to drive them off knowing
if they succeeded vast changes would occur.

Far in the distance Soto heard the roars and growls
as the take over ensued and rushed to protect them.
The fight was long and hard with some fatalities.
Soto received wounds that would take months to heal
as he was banished by the brothers, his life now as an outcast.
Luckily for him Zanidar joined him with her cubs of nearly a year old
She and they would keep him fed as he slowly healed.

Back at the pride the brothers set about their gruesome task
all the cubs were hunted down and killed without mercy.
Now the lionesses would soon be ready to mate again
and it would be their blood that the offspring would bear
perpetuating their line and increasing the size of the pride.

Life in the African Savannah was always cruel and hard
the brothers would face many challengers in their time.
Food always an issue once the migrating herds moved on.
Now a time of little the pride suffered and grew weaker.
The only saving grace was the buffalo not without their risks.
Valiant fighters who protected each other forming a ringed barrier
around the more vulnerable, ready to fight to the death.

With very young cubs the lionesses needed food to feed them
and desperation drove them on, finally they made a good kill
none would go hungry for a few days. In the distance the clouds
gathered rain falling far up country at last reaching them and
with the rain the vast herds once more returned and life teemed.

Now was a time of plenty and the pride recovered their health.
For seven years the brothers ruled supreme yet in the background
there were many waiting their own time. Two males in particular
Janto and Batso sons of Soto watched and waited eager to take over
until at last it was their time and turn to roust the pride males.
And so the never ending cycle started again until the next time.

The King of the Forest

If I were the King of the Forest

I,d have a laptop installed in every tree

a GPS for lionesses

 robots for cleaning messes

there'd be no need for marking territory with pee

If I were the King of the Forest

I,d stop this stuff of parading around in the buff

there'd be a law against snoring

silk blanketed flooring

and no loud roaring trying to prove that your tough

If I was the King of the Forest

I,d have a delivery boy deliver my meat

Hunting and gathering might be bold

but what about when I get old?

Besides I,ll eat the delivery boy for my treat

If I were the King of the Forest

I,d have a stylist to do my mane

 I,d use the best shampoo

some conditioner too

Hey, if you're the King you're supposed to be vain

If I were the King of the Forest

I,d invite the Whole World for a unique meet and greet

from the bankers to the florists

you can all be the tourists

and have a chance to sit in the King's seat

If I were the King of the Forest

it would be a great and wonderful town

I,d build a fast modern train

with a sign that says, "Come Again"

Heck, I'd even let you try on the King's crown!

Man Vs Woman

The very softest forms
Of martial arts
Tai chi
It’s very similar to a dance.
You’re a dancer who dodges.
And aikido
for when things get a little rougher.

These seek to do no harm to a predator
To disarm with the least amount of force. This woman does aspire
Chi point strikes are more dangerous to your opponent, and fellow being.
If you choose to learn them, okay. That’s your choice.
You are always in the process of gathering tools.

It sickens me to hear of advice
Of gouging with keys
And other flimsy
means.

How are you supposed to take care of yourself?

Or worse, seeking to do the most harm with the least amount of effort
S. I. N. G.
That is not a type of “singing” I’d EVER endorse.
It boils my blood. That stupid coincidence-

That is laziness
And inability to feel empathy
Plain and simple.

“Miss Congeniality”
Sandra Bullock
She punches and beats up that man that did NOTHING.
There’s nothing congenial
about targeting someone’s genitals.
And then teased him

And everyone LAUGHED.

Who’s the sociopath now?
Or the SADIST???

If a man punched a woman anywhere
And then taunted her
You would be baying for his blood.

Like lionesses who wolf down dogs cowering
You are not that different.
You’re the same species.
Sheesh.

Sea Lion

Sea-Lion
I saw a seal in Durban big and sleek and its smile
Was wondrous, I think it had green eyes, right,
But, I’m not a very god swimmer and is sceptical
Of water, mermaids and swimming pools.
By chance, I saw a sleek woman cleaning a pool
And it was morning, she had green or blue or
Perhaps brown eyes of the type lionesses have
When a lion, has caught a prey it has to give it
 Up when hyenas come around.
Conquests are a hyena’s fare but it lacks delight
And the ability to laugh. The seal from Durban
I remember so well, had a hearty laughter and
A smile “thousand miles.” Am I getting confused
Talking about lions and seals? Not at all but it was
A female and she sat my heart aflutter.

Isolated and surrounded by her worst enemies
The lioness fought hard, but her fate was sealed
"You're gonna die tonight kitty kat" one hyena said
Then he bit her viciously
The others joined the attack....
When the dust had settled The lioness lay lifeless.....

"Hey did you hear the commotion last night"
one lion asked to the other
"It was the hyenas and lionesses fighting"
replied another
 "Were there any casualties"
asked the lion with the black mane
" Yes, they killed a lioness last night"
answered another."But tonight they'll feel the pain" he added

Later that night they heard the hyenas laughing
A laughter that curdled their blood
The lions began walking towards the hyenas
The smell of blood was everywhere

The lions were focused on the battle ahead
"There'll be some dead hyenas tonight"
The golden maned lion said
They increased their pace as the stench of hyena intensified

The hyenas stopped laughing
When the lions came into view
The lions attacked immediately, the payback was swift and deadly
And many of the hyenas fled
When it was over 3 hyenas lay dead
And the faces of the big cats were stained in blood
Roars of victory echoed through the night

Passionate Predators

Restless soccer moms,
whose kittens have all become mature,
got plenty of suburban boredom
Time enough for sure
to get hooked on every advertised lure
As daytime soaps and gossip kitsch
are the mundane, daily double feature
So they buy themselves some
beautiful, youthful promises,
packaged in a slick cardio video
Victoria got some bedroom secrets
that frustrated spouses wanna know
Put the proper promotional letters
in the slotted payment space
Then they sit back and anticipate,
let that warm scented water luxuriate
their uncaged primal thoughts:
That lackluster romantic routine
with the half-interested spouse
has become so very predictable
Mannequin lovemaking so emotional sterile
When expedited delivery late evening come,
they strike their favorite sexy pose,
in their most come-hither revealing clothes
But such meticulously planned foreplay
gets the usual NITM treatment today
This last straw has stirred these tigress spirits,
but not in a good way
When the Good Wives Club start breaking bad,
there’s gonna be divorce hell to pay
Those Ladies Night Out
now grinds to an adulterous sway

Neglected desires are maritally hated,
lost fidelity mourned in Goth black
Intimacy ignored is so cold calculated;
bad math, write digits for call back

Cougars don’t like being domesticated,
coyote ugly do love to run in a pack
Foxy motives ain’t hen house overrated,
passionate predators are on the attack

Suburban lionesses on a stag hunting mission,
got dark jaguar urban jungle keen night vision
Painted panthers on a one-night-stand prowl,
coy cheetahs moving fast with their claws out,
Hot, feral women with cougar pent-up emotions,
are lethal loving leopards with spotted devotions

Passionate predators,
only lascivious hearts dare venture
If you got a taste for the forbidden,
then you got a wish to be eaten

Acronym alert:
NITM

The Concrete Jungle

Take heed of the roar of the law
There is always a crouching patrol
Safety is on your turf and in your lane
Guard your territory with your claws and fangs

Hunt during the day and by the night
Watch your prey and keep your puppies in sight
Find the beast in you when predators lurk
Don’t beg for liberty, you have the right to take

The taxmen come at you like a park of canines
They ambush your kill with surprise swift runs
The hyenas feast away the worth of your sweat
You retreat to your den with the same blood thirst

In the quiet of the night the pasture is never still
The noise perks up your ears to listen to wild’s hunts and kills
There is chirping of sirens and bellowing from a factory mill
Your cat eyes search and ray through glass, concrete and steel

We hive the skyscrapers to avoid the sting of the economy
We are lionesses at home but at work we are an ant colony
In this Jungle there is no hibernation for us to be cocooned
In this hustle there is no stagnation or else you’ll be marooned

The wild’s abundance yields up to the fittest
The world’s dominant wield much of the slickest
It always dawns on every predator, prey and vulture
In this concrete jungle are you a watcher, runner or catcher?

The Lonely Village

Every dawn meant its worth
every day showed its value
when the moon shone bright
bells tinkled by the motion of the whispery wind
children head to the safety of adobe huts
warming their little hands around the fires
tigers prowl the midnight roads
their eyes seen by fearfull villagers
luminescent eyes dancing in the dark night
calls of strange animals
sends a cold chill down your spine
babies fall asleep on the cold dirt floor
surrounded by parents, brothers, sisters
for protection
as the night comes to an end
and the sun starts to rise over the green topped mountains
wild animals leave to nap in the morning sun
children go out to relieve themselves
and find a dead goat five feet from the door
their livelihood shrinks as lionesses feed
on their wealth, their income
but such is the life
when you live with wild animals
when you encroach on their territory
you pay, little by little
a hard, struggling existence
a life shared with beautiful killers
seeing their glorious power at work
until they take your life.
