Premium Memberfleeting moon

The quicksilver moon’s not secure in her orbit.
I’ve heard that she’s slyly slipping away,
One and a half inches yearly
so a little bit every day.

I, for one, want her to stay.
‘Oh meritorious silver sister, you have no dark side,
and I’ve grown used to your capricious light,
Why do you only hover at night?”

I think of her as

Neon’s radioactive glow in a window,
offers the cheap promise of pleasure.
Like a hypnotic, fluorescent serpent,
It flashes, blinks and winks - “Welcome”

It fairly slithers on rain-slicked boulevards,
it warms like moonlight on cold unfriendly nights,
It signals cool, ready fun in the summertime.

We dress our vices in silky, pastel colors,
gamblers choices of Disney flavored whiskies.
It’s the soft, velvet

There once was a fellow named Will,
Whose nose was exceedingly ill.
He sneezed with great force,
And altered his course,
he's orbiting Jupiter still!

There once was a lady named Sue,
Who found a strange thing in her stew.
She said with a grin,
And pulled out a pin,
"A stich in time, it is quite new!".

Bob The Mime Who Was Ever Silent

I knew a mime who was ever silent
One of the many who were licensed
Hit his toe doing his act
Felt so much pain that he quacked
The city took away his mime license

Yes! knew this mime who was ever silent
He boarded

Premium MemberLight Humor for Thanksgiving

“That turkey has to feed twenty people at my parent’s house
and they’re not going to eat it off your head!”
—Quote from tv show Friends

turkey dos: dance ‘round
with dead poultry on your head -
don’t light the oven

cranberry don’ts: take
the time to do yourself -
wiggle out of can

build Devil’s tower
with your mashed potatoes and
they’ll think your crazy

Thanksgiving

My sneakers made me jump high
All the way into the sky
Suddenly, the wind knocked me down
All the way into the ground
That cause the Shi to pass me by

Premium MemberQuiet Riot

There once lived a huge, black bear named quiet
In the forest, he ate a bland diet
Never one to roar
He was such a bore
‘Til gobbling a troll, rousing a riot

Miss Elizabeth Taylor

Received many valentines day boxes
for she was sly as reddish foxes.

Princess Di met one nice guy
Having no idea he loved one who was married.
She is now an angel in the sky,
And he is with his soulmate, who looks quite harried.

Premium MemberDo Pink Chickens Lay Pink Eggs

Do pink chickens lay pink eggs?
We have been watching a TV show about a pink chicken.
A darling animated pink chicken who has told her this.
I look into her earnest brown hopeful 3-year-old eyes.

Certainly! I reply.
She claps her hands.
I want to see them in the morning! She says.
Being a perfect grandma, I stay

New Year's Resolution, 2017 (Light Humor)

For the longest time, it has been stated that we use only 10 percent of our brain.
Of course, the hold idea of brain usage is in dispute for a myriad of reasons.

So let us assume that it is not true that we use only 10 percent of our brain.
Let us
