Do Pink Chickens Lay Pink Eggs

Do pink chickens lay pink eggs?
We have been watching a TV show about a pink chicken.
A darling animated pink chicken who has told her this.
I look into her earnest brown hopeful 3-year-old eyes. 

Certainly! I reply.
She claps her hands.  
I want to see them in the morning! She says.
Being a perfect grandma, I stay up an extra hour, dying our eggs pink.

It is on the wall, sitting where I can read it daily when I want to be puffed up, after doing something stupid.

We did an early Christmas, and yes, there is NOTHING as great as being a grandmother. That is my crowning achievement and greatest accomplishment. The love that oozes out of that cannot be compared.
