Elizabeth Taylor's Valentines Day Fun

Miss Elizabeth Taylor
married everyone she met but Norman Mailer
Received many valentines day boxes
for she was sly as reddish foxes.

Princess Di met one nice guy
Having no idea he loved one who was married.
She is now an angel in the sky,
And he is with his soulmate, who looks quite harried.

I withdrew it from the contest. It was not what it was supposed to be for that but I am NOT sure about Mailer. Looking that up now.

I really enjoyed this Caren; Elizabeth married everyone she met, such a good line, some even twice, haha! Good luck in the contest. Kindest thoughts Ann xx

I loved Elizabeth Taylor, so of course, I was only being funny, not mean.

Well done Caren, Love the comparison between the two. Only thing they in common is like most rich people they where unhappy. I enjoyed the write, my friend....Peter

I am so glad I have never won the lottery; it is why I stay out being lucky and all.

This is a really fun read, Caren. And "harried" is spot-on! :)

I really like these, Caren, particularly the second one. The last line was so fun! I'm gonna go see something and then maybe send you a soupmail.

Andrea, I am running to SoupMail now. Thank you for keeping me honest my friend!

This is interesting. The one thing that rang out loud and true here is that neither one was happy. Good job.

Bette, thank you for picking up on that. I was thinking "who are two famous women who had riches and fame, but were not truly happy?" These two came to me instantly.

Thank you Nette. I did not know if you were "seasoned enough" to know either of these.

Now that is some interesting contrast! Very original.

Thank you. I had the first part finished when I posted it under the contest, and realized I had to throw another limerick together and rather quickly.

Thank you. I had fun and that is the main thing with a limerick or two, Chantelle.

Very good Caren! I actually like Camilla. She is a shire horse to Di's sparkly pony. Charles needs a shire horse! Not that I approve of her penchant for shooting stuff mind.

I understand Nina, as I do not shoot horses either or people. I would have used her name but frankly I did not remember it. Here in the states we only know the pretty one with the heart.

If I were her age, I would have married her too...lol Well done, Caren. Best wishes for a win in the contest...Charlie

Hi Caren, Two such different characters, both famous, one a shrew and the other angelic! Excellent comparison! Poetry wishes, Jennifer.
