In a palace of cushions and silky delight,
Lives a cat, all pampered, oh, what a sight!
Spoiled and regal, with a snobbish air,
She lounges on pillows with a feline flair.
Her food served on silver, a gourmet feast,
Tuna and salmon, fit for a beast.
A throne of velvet, a regal seat,
She rules the household with velvety conceit.
The humans bow to her every desire,
A spoiled feline queen, a fluffy empire.
She bats at toys, with disdain in her eyes,
For only the finest will earn her prize.
Oh, the life of a cat, so fabulously grand,
With servants at beckoning, at her command.
Her purrs and meows, a majestic song,
In the lap of luxury, where she belongs.
Yet, in her eyes, a mischievous gleam,
A whisker-twitching, devious scheme.
For a spoiled cat's life, in humor we find,
A kingdom of comfort, a royal feline kind.
Aliens have recently taken over my mind
They're a friendly lot, they are
Obsessed by the pretty women we have
And the love of our fancy cars
They say they're thinking of migrating
Warned them it's not a bed of roses
Got a bunch of yahoos running the show
Amazing the problems it poses
Many of us live in the lap of luxury
Others don't have enough to eat
Power trips are the crux of our problems
We must have servants at our feet
So the choice is yours my alien friends
Don't know what it's like back home
Might think of checking out other planets
This is not the best one known

Some are blessed with piles of money
others inherit the streets or keyrings
One baby born to the lap of luxury
a second awakens to grinding poverty
The earth rotates, the wheel of fortune spins
so much frustration, while fat cats grin
Just know this, my friend, there is a plan
an age-old formula, it proudly still stands
~ that of true love between woman and man
We carry in us
the genes of our parents;
we carry in us
the Soul of Our Nation;
the sins – and, more
important – the climbing out
of valleys, to higher peaks of
Spiritual Truths and Values:
Whether one's ancestor born slave or free-man,
whether born in poverty or the-lap-of-luxury – just
born in the United States of America,
has been a blessing envied by vast numbers
of suppressed societies throughout the world, while
cursed by their Gutless Leaders. Don't let
Marxist Lies and Filth be the
Law of our Precious Land, purchased with the
proud blood of past Patriot's, and now
protected by presently serving honorable,
selfless men and women of the USA Joint Armed Forces –
Let God Rein, and not Evil, Twisted Ideologues.
Hopeless cries maybe but from far away
I'm lolling in the lap of luxury
So why do I care if they eat but whey.
Desperate parents sighing all the day
Living a life of toil and drudgery
Hopeless cries maybe but from far away.
Poverty-stricken, none more poor than they
While I fun and feast, they eat shrubbery,
So why do I care if they eat but whey.
Kneeling down unto the Lord they did pray
Every breath unkind, a toilsome journey
Hopeless cries maybe but from far away.
It is the rule of our fate, none can sway
There is no escape, no recovery
So why do I care if they eat but whey.
While they subsist on handouts, sleep on hay
They but reap what they sow, in summery
Hopeless cries maybe but from far away
So why do I care if they eat but whey.

Howard Robard Hughes
Famously rich recluse
Dreams led him to the lap of luxury
Followed by nightmarish mysophobic OCD
Rich playboy aviator Howard Hughes
With movie starlets kept himself amused
Dated Katherine Hepburn
Bette Davis took her turn
And still more, which kept the tabloids confused
Born Howard Robard Hughes to a rich family
With English, Welsh and French Huguenot ancestry
Enjoyed a successful multi-faceted business career
But aviation and aerospace were his favorite frontier

Famously rich recluse
Dreams led him to the lap of luxury
Followed by nightmarish mysophobic OCD
how privileged
are we
living on the lap of luxury
let me rephrase
we don’t have excess money
but we have enough
to help out
which often
gets us
into situations
but still
it feels like the lap of luxury
because our needs are few

Did the government read any
of the expert and professional articles about the nation?
No! he read the truth from his bible and quran and consulted ayinlala
And would not mind the bookworms whose domain would soon
Be salted with strike and downsizing for economic growth!
Did the government hear or see
The commentary on, and documentary of the nation?
No! he heard from the rumour mongering of his caucus, cabinet
And political godfathers who are nursing manifestoes
That would restructure and make a new LIE-GE-RIA!
Did the government stay at home
To quench the fire razing down the nation?
No! he always run abroad away from the raging inferno
To seek the opinion of white house,
In order to avoid embarrassment when he seeks asylum!
Did the government open his ears and respond
To the cries of hunger, protest, disaster, bloodbath and anarchy?
No! he sits on the lap of luxury within the presidential palace
And rides out with escorts and sirens in long procession
Leading the country to its final burial!
People often ask me
Where it is I'm living
The only thing I have to say is
I'm doing more giving than I'm gettin''
They all just nod their heads
Knowing where this conversations bound
And where it is I now reside
~ Broke Town ~
We have people always moving in
To the city daily
If you'd asked me this years ago
I would of said you're crazy
After all this is America
Where riches can be found
But it doesn't seem that way no more
~ Broke Town ~
With our new formed government
Taking care us
It's no wonder this once mighty nation
Is on the verge of bust
Have to figure that what goes up
Must eventually come crashing down
And wouldn't you know it's just our luck
~ Broke Town ~
One day it is I hope to move
Somewhere far away
But that can be so hard to do
In any town these days
For in the lap of luxury
I have no need to be found
I just wanna be outta
~ Broke Town ~
When I asked you out, you decided to shun me.
You rejected me because I don't have a lot of money.
Instead of going by what a man has in his heart, you go by what he has in his bank account.
You've turned down many men because when it comes to money, they don't have a large amount.
A man who will love you for better or worse is all that you need.
But you want to live in the lap of luxury because of your greed.
I've met a lot of women like you and you and they may end up being old maids.
You've been looking for a rich man so long that your looks are starting to fade.
You'd better learn that what a man has in his heart is what is most important of all.
But you think that you can have a wealthy man and now when I look at you, I'm appalled.
