Premium Member Laid Up

Laid up in bed but we really don’t mind,
it’s raining and a football game’s on;
Let’s make out slow in-between plays;
With a dollop of ice cream,
dip into my rhythm;
A moan not a howl;
Until the clock
hits zero,
release
waits……

Premium Member LAID TOO REST

Permanent grave
Nestled under a maple Tree
My grave and me
Had a fulfilled life
Gave good advice
Went through numerous circumstances and situations
Received no appreciation
At peace
In Heaven at least
At ease
Don’t mourn nor cry
Don’t even try
This Soul is no more
I have been committed to the ground
Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust
Laid to rest
Forgotten Soul Forever

People just like you when you are funny, laid back and open

Not when you were helping them with homework.
Not when you offered them a piece of the Sandwich of yours.
Not when you smiled and waved at them.
Did you really think they meant it real when they complimented you? They found your kindness cringe and made fun of you.

That day when you told them you are not liking what they said about a classmate yours, they hate you.

"Why did you leave the classgroupchat?"
"Private reason"
"Okay but we need you"
I even felt bad.
"Someone does definetly write something in it, don't they?"
"No, it's quiet.
No one."
"You guys will make it, don't worry"

Dismissed! Battles laid down for a dissociative survivor

Thinking about us
I come undone
Looking back I don’t know
Whether we lost or won

Voices in my mind
That I just can’t translate
But I know
I’ll learn to appreciate

I’m not laying blame
I’m not keeping score
I just wish I could find
Who I was before

All was taken
And more was lost
A dissociative fugue
Cost us the lot

What am I supposed to do
When parts of me
Trapped in the past
Are forced to flee?
Nobody sees
Just how hard this can be

Cut off from reality
Locked inside
Misery remains
Hanging by a noose
The final thread
one day will
be cut loose

We fight to run
We fight to return
We fight to live
We fight to die
When will the world see
Just how bad the
trauma was for me

I wasn’t lying
Or making it up
I had medical evidence
That backed me up

I’ll never understand
How a judge
Could’ve dismissed that

Robert Burns knew schemes.
Like all of us,
His vanity
Lent him an illusion
Of control.
How did his wisdom come?
Did his head fall beneath the trap?
The cat is away, time to play.
What's dearest to your heart?
A night in paradise?
A glass full of lies?
Maybe a vision of ladders
Climbing closer to your treasures.
Come now, come now,
Free will, will reveal the maze.
Starving for peace,
Our plans
Unfold like walls and cul de sacs
Before us.
Hunger for control,
Needs too deep to fathom:
I am the master of my destiny.
And of course, we're right,
Right as rain.
Our destiny, our plans "gang aft agley."

She That With A Sweet-Laid Kiss Captured My Heart

She a true angel yet forever incomplete
Yes, forever and a thousand years in a day
But her heaven rests completely between her sheets
Her love was abundant, sweet in every way
But in love's resplendent and blaze-cast flaming throes
She felt the intense burns of love's amazing heat
In her hotter flames she gave thrills down to your toes
Her fiery sexcapades, nothing ever cold beat
Blessed was discovery of that cool hidden heart
Wooing you with that dearest billion-dollar smile
After all she was beauty and grace from the start
But sometimes she had to use her wily wiles.

She that with a sweet-laid kiss captured my heart.
June morn we both swore to Heaven we never part!

Premium Member He Laid Back and Let Her Lead

She came sauntering into the bedroom with that peacock look.
Not only is she sexy, but Queen Hafsa is an excellent cook.
Is my steak finished? King Sabir asked, salivating a bit.
Queen Hafsa gave him a dance that showed him her whit.

His brown eyes narrowed as he stared at her feathered tail.
Hey, he asked, did the peasants yet bring in the mail?
She gave a spin and stared the king down hard.
He coughed a bit, and was shaking like jelly lard.

Queen Hafsa still had a mesmerizing effect on him.
He knew now her act was serious, not a whim.
She pinned him to the bed and gently stroked his arm.
He laid back and gave up. What could be the harm?

She was a beast in the bedroom, his lovely queen.
A tiger, a cougar, a devout lover, smart and keen.
King Sabir’s eyes narrowed, and he let her lead the way.
Thrilled to the core, with his sensuous queen that day.

Premium Member There's No Better Love Than For Jesus Who Laid Down His Life-

What a wonderful gift ?
Such as an Amazing Love
There is no better love than Jesus
He gave His life HIS mercies Grace
Sufficient He gave HIS life
What can a mere man do for me,
even if he gave his life
~
My Jesus loves me unconditionally
He gave up His life
For His purpose was to be God and man
Sinless cause He gave up His life
He laid down His life
To redeem me cuz He loved me so
Would another man do this no

Premium Member My Dog Is As Laid Back As Marley

My dog is as laid back as Bob Marley.
I smiled at the thought.
He dresses like him too, the old hippie said.
I had to meet him now!

He is a giver, the old timer admitted.
And a singer – a howler, but on key.
I had no comment.
Not understanding this but wanting to.

His wife ushered me in.
He’s crazy about that dog, she told me.
The dog was dressed in his Bob Marley costume.
I got a photo with him, for I could not resist.

Till I Am Laid To Rest

If our life is predestined and our fate preordained
Why stress and strain, why live a life of drudgery
Oh, why toil in vain, why to the grindstone be chained,
Let's indulge in a life of slothful luxury.

Ann planned to lose her cherry in full moon,
She even picked the month, that to be June.
Her hapless hopes had sunk,
She hooked up with a hunk -
In the middle of December, at noon.

Premium Member The Table Is Laid

If we be but still,
voids within will fill,
yet we choose to burn,
opting not to learn.

Why do we not see
that we are at sea,
heeding not conscience,
voice of innocence?

We are astonished,
seeing soul famished,
whilst in the river
of God, the giver.

The table is laid,
bliss served ready-made,
for those who follow,
love’s heartbeats mellow.

Taking snake as rope,
fear engulfed, we grope.
Save coming undone,
nothing need be done.

Silence and stillness,
melds us with oneness;
a path we must choose,
without an excuse.

When thoughts vaporise,
bliss beats within rise
but if we choose lust,
soul’s dreams turn to dust.

Thus, it’s up to us
to board God’s love bus.
Voids within will fill,
if we be but still.

It Laid Heavy On My Stomach

Sung to the tune of:
"He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother"

The spice was strong
The pasta was cooked too long
The garlic was everywhere, everywhere

And I know, meatballs were a big mistake

It laid heavy on my stomach

I ate too much
Butter and bread and such
The garlic was everywhere, everywhere

And I know, meatballs were a big mistake

It laid heavy on my stomach

If I lay down at all
         I’ll get up with nausea
And then it’s up all night
that’s what garlic will cause ya
I know, cause I’m still belching

It laid heavy on my stomach
