Would Wade Then Played and Laid
in water would wade
had a great time when we played
then in sun had laid

An egg she laid, or was it two
Can't remember; haven't a clue
But one thing I know, and it's for sure
The rooster crows -- Cock-a-doodle-doo
This grave with barber Bob is blessed ~
He was a cut above the rest!

followed by long honeymoon
delayed by snowfall.

Jesus In Cradle Laid
Together choir great music made,
While Jesus in His cradle had laid;
Fast or slow,
Sing a solo,
Or in harmony had been singing.

having a
laid-back
easygoing
mellow
approach
to life is
the way to
go about
not being
affected by
all the small stuff
that life wants to
throw your way

Best laid plans of both mice and men
Can surely go wrong, can screw up in the end
Your very best shot
Will be enough... NOT
Best laid plans... to the looney bin, you descend
Where Democrats Have Laid
Every place where Democrats have laid,
Does seem like they are always afraid;
Problems galore;
More and more,
And into own past still will try to fade.

You have to be naked
inside a Poem
Exposed in its limelight,
a baby new born
Starving the doubt
by feeding the fear
Everything revealed
—your back to the wall
(Dreamsleep: April, 2020)
Ann planned to lose her cherry in full moon,
She even picked the month, that to be June.
Her hapless hopes had sunk,
She hooked up with a hunk -
In the middle of December, at noon.

Laid up in bed but we really don’t mind,
it’s raining and a football game’s on;
Let’s make out slow in-between plays;
With a dollop of ice cream,
dip into my rhythm;
A moan not a howl;
Until the clock
hits zero,
release
waits……
In Shade Shall Have Laid
While in shade we shall have laid,
Respect to people should be paid;
On those dependable must rely;
Respect brave souls that do die;
Great country for us they made.

I sit at the ivy gates
Waiting to say goodbye
I should be sad
Filled with hate
It's not sarrow
But joy inside
Though all this sadness
Breaks my heart
You no longer bare the pain
The world will weep in your absence
It will no longer be the same

If our life is predestined and our fate preordained
Why stress and strain, why live a life of drudgery
Oh, why toil in vain, why to the grindstone be chained,
Let's indulge in a life of slothful luxury.

Soon the day will come when I will be with the father above. Sharing in his never
ending love. When I am laid to rest I will not have to worry did I pass the test. Only
God knows I did my best now that I am in heaven all my burdens are laid to rest. I
think this poem is one of my best.
Form:
I had yearned for it all my life
That simple gesture
That finally healed
The open wound
That for years
Bled
In a silent stream
That fell Between
The cracks in
You and me
When with a gentle sigh
You looked
Into my eyes
Held my hand
And kissed my fingertips
The day
Before you died
My writing conceals a deeper truth
than common sense abides
Each word unwraps a higher sense
than fame or fortune buys
Every breath I take, the future staked
the moment crowned as King
All beds remade where dreams have laid
—the present everything
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2019)
My heart was ripped from my chest the day I saw her laid to rest.
We were family, we made a pact.
But those dreams were split in half the day i saw her all in black.
I've lost all felling in my life.
from this day forward, I've cried at night.
She has been here with me since the beginning, but now she is gone.
And no longer with me.
Form:
They laid her to rest
Hands folded across the chest
A dream of a dream of a dream
Chaotic though it may seem
We were the first to see
The rising of the sea
Living in the plastic age
Leaving Mother in a frothing rage
Until she could no longer feel
And it suddenly seemed real
We ran out of time
Because greed and science don't rhyme
L-ife and death are laid down,
O-ptions for man to decide;
L-et God be followed
I-n choosing against the
T-ide.
S-elect between blessing
A-nd curse from the Lord;
N-ever pick the latter,
T-he former is one you can afford.
I-t's Thursday September fourteenth,
A-im to obey the Creator's plan;
G-od has given you the choice,
O-ptions laid down for man.
She'd already laid her pretty eggs
before I found her nest
in the small space above front door
where nothing can molest.
I was gone from home only a week.
My house was not abandoned,
when she moved right in without a thought
of any rent demanded.
My front door is now off limits for
all my visitors and me,
since we'd be unwilling targets for
mama swallow flying free.
