Knower Poems | Examples

ALL-SEER

Deeds in the dark
whispers on trembling lips
stories we craft in silence
all, He sees.

He is the All-Seer
the All-Knower
reading even the doubts
you bury beneath your breath.

He sees when your mind goes blind
when your smile hides pain
when you fold truth into silence
He sees you, even in your hiding.

No mask escapes His gaze
no secret too deep
no corner too dim
the eye that never sleeps watches still.

The Knower Inhaling

Be leaved
In your redemption
As whole
Leave is unworthy
Of spirit
Usual day
Ends of spittle held
Under nectars perch, hast child as babe
Layed beneath wounds crown?
Neither beckon of blankets coldened ease
Wells, as slavic despondent ledgers
Nor, blathering distinct indemptions buffet
Break winds towards lightnings laughter

He knows that knows, not all

Relish of lips, their sweetness,
Breasts’ cute contours, their firmness,
Poetry prime and mellow,
Who but the knower would know?

Translation |19.09.2024| beauty, poem, connoisseur

Poet’s note: Sanskrit has thousands of verses of wisdom called Subhashhitam. The beauty of a beautiful woman, breasts’ firmness, their right contours, he knows that knows. So also a poem’s mellow and mature taste. The transliteration of the Sanskrit verse follows:

Adharasya madhurimaanam,
kucha-kaathinyam,
drishah tathaa taikshhnyam |
Kavitaayaah pari-paakaam,
anubhava rasikah vijaanaati ||

“Some seek nonduality, others duality.
They do not know the Truth, which is the same at all times and everywhere, which is devoid of both duality and nonduality.”

everything everywhere, all at once
the pulse of life in unending renewal
spontaneity has no need to rehearse
with love and light of God as life’s fuel

sacred geometry everywhere abounds
consciousness expands engulfing all
thus all manifestations are but illusions
so who in truth we are we must recall

self is living light self-aware and complete
this is the non-dual singularity sages seek
we pulsate in space-time dissolved peace
yet to grow in love don organic form weak

what is real and what may we call unreal
God alone is and is the only true knower
do not both duality and singularity entwine
which chakra is higher and which is lower

omnipresence, omniscience, omnipotence
enjoying full freedom, is God’s effervescence
resplendent with love and light is God’s heart
everywhere all at once shines His vital essence

Premium Member Avadhuta Gita Chapter 1, verse 1

” Through the grace of God alone, the desire for nonduality arises in wise men to save them from great fear.”

{Nonduality - monistic Consciousness, in which the knower, knowledge, and knowable - soul and God - become one; the highest realization of Divinity.

Fear - The word "fear" includes also such states of mind as insecurity, despair, and grief, all of which arise from a consciousness of oneself as limited and separate from others and which therefore can be dispelled only by realizing oneself as the All.}

_______________________

ignorance is the cause of fear
mistaken that we are body-mind
clinging to objects we hold dear
floundering about as do the blind

freedom within is near at hand
yet to invoke the boons of grace
we must be still to understand
that God holds us in close embrace

NOTHING MISSING, NOTHING BROKEN

NOTHING MISSING, NOTHING BROKEN
With your head, roll out drums,
Mighty trumpets in their stead,
And like Eagles soar higher in the sky,
The skies of your mind,

Do not crumble on vain things,
And do not hijack your fights_
From within.....
Never you nurse or nature,
Thoughts of negatives
But like the lion, swim in positives
For the whole essence of life,
Is synonymous to dire softness.

For the Knower squeezes,
The oozing chant in her hue,
While the plangent solo dies
The strange strength of a fish,
Lies in its tender thoughts.

Make your thoughts tender,
For all is but a staged drama,
And sooner, we may leave.

As I tender to you
This tender foliage wand;
Undress these emotions,
Negative tongues waxing
In a pillock of confusion...

So, let’s zhuzh up our thoughts,
In this torrid and bogart spheres;
As I reverberate yet again,
Nothing missing, nothing broken.

Finally, I wave you all, shalom!

Knower of truth visited not the church,
          for he was worn weary
of sermons leaving heart in lurch
                    by words dreary.

He was not an atheist since he knew
          truth of soul’s existence,
      feeling bliss beats within renew;
                    love’s insistence.

Rebel, a nerd, he followed not the herd,
          aligning with God’s light
that glowed within as chakras whirred,
                    by day and night.

“Where is the knower?
Where is knowing?
Where is the known,
or knowledge itself?
Where is anything?
Where is nothing?
I am pure Awareness”

Verse revisited on 27-November-2022

Standing in, within yet apart from the template of space-time
Beyond all phenomenal worlds, resides consciousness sublime
Positioned at a centreless fulcrum, devoid of any ego residuum
I Am presence cognises the all-ness of the manifest continuum
Holding at the Bindu point of singularity Sat-Chit-Ananda bliss
Upon which the mystic affirms all that is, is God, here now this

Aunt June

My aunt taught me...
how to be; a sewer, a grower,
a knower of "things" important.
She taught me to watch the pot,
until it boiled and never look away.

Canning strawberry jelly,
and making sweet marmalade pie
were the easy lessons
in believing in tomorrow.
Blankets made from scraps
to keep the family warm in winter,
kept "devotions" for another year.
Dresses made of flour sacks,
with corn mill colored ribbon...
They were for spring.
Summer was all about the garden,
and planting... "seeds to fling".

We had chicks for a while,
until my uncle lost his job.
Then we had to eat them.
That was a hard lesson in cooking,
"things" you keep close to the heart,
Sacrifice...
beyond dry tears
to feed the ones you love.

My uncle got sick,
and then he died.

June went to work,
ironed for others,
sewed and cooked and made
their lives easy,
as her's was hard.
My aunt never complained.

My aunt was amazing...
a farm woman,
from the mid-west.
She could rope and ride,
and she would never hide
even from
cancer.

My Aunt was a warrior.

Premium Member Mirror of Life

Mirror of life reveals
we’re more than mind-body,
labelled as somebody
but love and light that feels,
not egoic thoughts shoddy.

Mirror of life reveals
heart’s desire to expand
into a joyous land.
When soul before God kneels,
our wish is His command.

Mirror of life reveals
that we’re not the knower;
God is the bestower.
By grace, our heart soon heals,
on making thoughts slower.

Mirror of life reveals,
when head and heart agree,
our blissful soul is free,
drenched in God’s ideals,
embarked on earth life spree.

Love, wisdom and power;
thus in fullness tower
oh long weary hermit,
for this is the summit.

Love, wisdom and power,
enabled hour by hour,
if our heart be mellow,
centred in stillness slow.

Love, wisdom and power,
let Mother* empower
by kundalini rise,
we behold in surprise.

Love, wisdom and power;
we become the knower
of the ultimate truth.
Let’s get to it forsooth!

19-April-2022

*Notes: Divine Mother is Shakti at the root chakra. Father is Shiva, at the crown. Kundalini is cosmic energy which rises from root to crown, facilitated by Shakti. Once Shakti unites with Shiva, head melds with heart and we resonate with love. This process occurs here, now in directly felt physicality.

She Fished the Ice Out of the Water To Stop It Overflowing

If the title is suggestive they watch me
put their name in it they watch me
the only time they get attention
the only time they get a mention
centre stage, run the show,
watching me because they know
I shine a light they glow
watch the numbers grow
it’s a sad life that their living
and it really is a given
that they lap it up and love it
when I tell them where to shove it
that short lived power trip
to a lifelong sour lip
yes you were a munter boss
whose never ever known a loss
because you’ve never had a lot
your missing brain and bottom pops
wishing you were someone hot
clever interesting you’re not
sense of humour not a human
that moustache forever booming
no man was ever after you
unattractive daft and rude
but trust me they would laugh at you
laughing at you not with you
yes you really oughta
fish the ice out the water
yes it melts and flows right over
if you’re that dumb you’re a knower
that knows nothing at all
you should have gone to school
you’re so stupid you will never know
just how stupid overall

The Ferris wheel rotates, altering views,
each moment in time having appeal
for the knower, who has so seen,
thus frolicking in delight,
at the cyclic movement,
leaving for others
to colour life
by free will
choosing
joy
~
in
this play
we yet see
frowning faces
and fearful glances,
of contracted soul forms,
entrapped in past or future,
akin to a dead man walking,
frittering away the gift of life,
employing their own free will, to do so.

Sacred heart emblem
in the glowing heart of Christ
we look at it in the spiritual domain
seeing it for what it really is

Perhaps it is blasphemous
to affirm views about the scriptures
yet the truth of Gods one light shines bright
towering way above narrow minds

If the truth is revealed
how will it serve our life goal
as yet enmeshed in ego cravings
captive to the senses

We oft wish to hear
as of our primal conditioning
thus many a knower retires in silence
until we see for ourselves
