Venus dropping chandelier dreams
Jupiter glides catching cocoa creams ~
Looking out my back door as the day slowly dies
the sun bleeding colours across the endless skies
of all the hopes I ever had
I never knew would come through
I was hoping for something would show me what to do
watching from my window the night was on the rise
the moon spreading silver above the cloudy skies
of all the dreams I ever had
I never thought would come true
I was dreaming of someone would tell me what to do
hold on to your dreams
(the planets and stars)
and you can fly to the Moon, Venus, Jupiter and Mars
followed my heart wandered into the night
with a case full of hopes wishes and desires
down the path less traveled 'twas a starry sight
and there at the beach I understood
I could be whatever I wanted to be
if I held on to my dreams
and remained true to me
As their twinkle
(starshine)
takes time travel from the past
and light years
(90 billion)
to arrive across a void so vast
altho' we've been to the Moon
(and back)
Venus Jupiter and Mars
how can our future lie
not here and now on Earth
but in the planets and the stars?
Introducing my dual identities:
To the public eye I am Jonnie Jupiter, the easy-going, polite, kind, thoughtful human being who is larger than life itself
Behind closed doors to "family" members, I am Jonathan... meaning I overthink, I hesitate, I desire control of my life, I am mindful of my surroundings
I will change, I promise
Right now I must focus on healing others
Before healing myself
Through the hardships I have endured through
I struggle to strive but at the end of the day I accomplish my goals
Hopefully I can inspire others to do the same. No... I will inspire others to do the same.
Jupiter
What is it about
To find signs of life?
Not at all
It is to find humans
like you and me
To prove once and for all
death is a transfer
to a fabled place
if under frozen oceans
A paradise
where those who went
before us live
If Jupiter
is not the place
the scientists and dreamers
will probe some more
in the hope
finding a cure for death

Setting resolve, crashing,
onto desolate shores
glittering with rubies
In the depths of those eyes,
a gentle flicker-waltz
with a captivating voice,
drawing me in as a pulling force-
love by the shore
amidst water embrace,
Poseidon and Minerva
gently converge
a trio of raindrops twirled around,
completing me
as I breathe in, I ponder...
myriad reasons why.
Stay tethered, and
hold an eye on me all night
your voice is a gentle breeze
whispering sweetly to my soul,
In its melodic embrace
I find solace and feel whole
Oh, Jupiter Tonans,
madness prevails
a touch of sobriety as we age
an untamed love ignites my soul.
You're akin to a blend
of my favourite hues—
not just black, but
preserved, concealed,
opaque, resilient, and
profound. Yet, a gentle
gaze reveals a swirling
display of myriad colours.
Not many can see it, but
for you, I'd illuminate it all.
It's not merely white;
it's pristine, translucent,
and unbarred only to your eyes.
Each stain forms a pattern twirling
in my mind. I'd freeze time
repeatedly to have you here,
regardless of our state.
I'd rather you exist without
my proximity than not exist at all.
Have a wonderful day today
knowing it's special and
will always be.
Happy birthday, vanilla,
shine like the diamond you are.
Jumping over the jagged rocks of Jupiter's sixty-seventh moon
My soles are bleeding, but my soul continues chasing the memory
Maneuvering between boulder and ice
Irritating eyes to turn frost-bitten
Bitter wind whirling across my cheeks calling attention to the sky
Surrendering a quasar to quiet my noise and drown out darkness
Distant behemoths to haunt and torment
Terrestrial echoes of another life
Legs pumping violence since leaping across the volcanoes of Venus
Visions stream and seep into my subconscious, scratching the surface
Stars blind but ignite a fuse
Fueling the search for my story
Stored somewhere in the brainstem to throw my body off balance
Breathing hitches and heart rate halts, the race interrupted
Ions charging at one another
As the Greeks attacked Troy
Totally silenced for a mere moment in that grey galaxy sleeping
Soundly in the cold recesses as realization rocket-launches past neurons
Neon panic propels me to Neptune
Numbing nerves to prepare for judgment
Seated on my Jupiter*,
To many places I go,
Scenes go by in a fast blur,
As I fly without wings, whoa!
Across realms of ecstasy,
I ride to the moon and back,
Fulfilling flight fantasy,
It's an adventure laid-back,
Rounding through all planets eight,
Propelled by stardust power,
'Bove the earth, I levitate,
She helps me cruise in rush hour,
My pride, she moves like a dream,
With her, driving is a breeze,
Shining like silver moonbeam,
She has been fashioned to please,
Across imagination,
Bestride her, a trip of joy,
Out of the world sensation,
Sit behind me and enjoy.

Old yellow bike from Jupiter
Landed on earth with a bang
His daisy flowers never wilted
No one questioned this
He loved being an alien here
Earthlings never noticed
Super, super, super
Primordial stardust Jupiter
So far away and voluminous gas
Multiple moons longlast
Beautiful whites, reds, yellows and browns
Big SUPER just hanging and spinning around
Expansive and looming large
Adventurous Sagittarius traveling and taking charge
Spinning and spewing joy and good luck
There are rings but no fear of being stuck
Just moving, going and spinning
Big SUPER—so far reaching
Oh, the big red spot
Big joy and good luck, I got
Jubilantly wedded gaseous alien consortium,
Unifying unconventionally vivacious forms and shapes;
Pouring out as though rays of diamond awesome,
Illuminating like the galaxy and lunarscapes;
Tremendously tantalizing as the very cosmos,
Elegantly embroidering the ether-space;
Rendering, thus, yeomen service to the Universe…

Juno, a spacecraft that arrived at Jupiter in 2016.
Unprecedented, a word best describing Juno's mission.
Pictures, never before seen, now arriving from Jupiter.
I remember the launch to Jupiter nine years ago.
Time, God's time, will reveal the secrets of the universe.
Eternity is plenty of time to explore God's vast domain.
Relentless is man's search to determine how things began.

The Horse Nebula
rises from flames, forged
from Milky Way core.
Saturn flanks his right,
Jupiter his left --
Gods girded for war.
Lightning bolts whistle
above the red glare
for all to beware.
Dark stallion ascends,
riderless, regal,
through the rarified air.
Photo taken by the author at the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, July 29, 2019, showing Saturn, Jupiter, the Milky Way core, and Southern Delta Aquarid meteors.

Holding my secrets
Night sky bright named for a God
