Inundating Poems

The Transcending tempest

I skirmish amidst the growling hounds
The lashing waves, the acoustic sounds
The tempest’s call, a supercilious strength
Reinvigorating my might, impinging my breath

I solemnly pledge to battle the sea
Till the last drop of my blood shall bleed
I coveted to obliterate through the tides
Only if the serendipity of my toil abides

I shall stand my ground with a triumphant roar
I shall manifest what the latter adore
For the multitude shall praise me
With its inundating galore.

Greet Me

Greet me
Spring sprite,
fresh docile smile;
Whose whispers woo
with hymns of lover's tune.

Enamor me
with fizzy phrases;
As doting night
enthralls, with stars,
the bashful moon.

Cove me
within bossom's veil
of plusing
neverending
blazing charm.

Congenial hover,
like clouds do
to pacify and soothe
the brassy, heated,
brazen sun.

Dreach
my dreams
with valiant gales
of furor baron
kisses gained.

Like Nature's gift of life,
revives plains' drought
with cloudburst,
Heaven's
inundating rain.

Laziness

My heart and mind don't align
I yearn for dreams to yield but vegetate
Putting off things for the very next day
My willpower is always at its lowest
Laziness floods my habits and goals
Until I drown in unsuccess.
The bed, so invitingly soft
It tempts me into a languid slumber
While a half-finished coffee mug
Sits cold on my window sill
My mobile phone, a dangerous distraction
As I scroll hours through social media when awake
Squandering my precious time away
My mind keeps dwelling on the past
Inundating memories of joy, sorrow and regrets
Serving no purpose
Then I slid into an eternity of pleasant thoughts
Of how to spend the next day of my life.

Sonnet For Spring

Spring marches its way south, inundating
the winter steeled earth struggling to drink
the season’s flood. So I bide time, waiting
for thirsty trees to flourish red and pink.

Yet when the heavens seal their divine doors
and the portal outdoors reopens wide
the red-pink promises of spring are floors
of brownish, brackish sludge when rain subsides

The birds are singing, or are they crying?
The mud is clinging to every footfall
Grasping with desperation, decrying
walks in the woods, holding me in its thrall

So I yield to the season’s iron will
and listen to the songbird’s somber trill

Premium MemberWilliam Wordsworth : the Poet of Nature

"Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher"
William Wordsworth

With the rhythm of his passionate poetry,
rolled the silver-crested wave of romanticism,
inundating the shore of English literature,
where he emerged as the seminal figure.

The beauteous natural world
imparted didactic quality to his poems,
finding correspondence between nature and soul,
and between self and matchless imagination.

The color, fragrance and sounds of spring,
shine of autumn sky, sparkle of sun-soaked water,
made lasting romantic impression in his mind,
influencing the growth of his poetic genius.

He had firm faith in the magnificence of nature
as the prime source of true happiness and joy,
that could enlighten the kindheartedness,
and enhance the spiritual awareness.

A worshipper of nature, he eulogized its charm,
captured the flushing splendor of the landscape
when he felt he “wandered lonely as a cloud”,
to be aptly christened as the poet of nature.

The essential constituents of captivating charisma
align with the fabric of consuming sincerity,
find the adornment of internal beauty
spread invisible film on deceptive external ugliness,
remove the distressing doubt that it can’t be irresistible.

An overwhelming humane faith fosters the faculty
of being aware of depressing deficiency of the being.
The demonstration of the cherubic charm
expresses the life-force that tows the tide of lure,
inundating the landscape of deserted hearts.

On the seraphic shore of the sublime soul,
the supreme designer makes the destined inner circuitry.
The pattern creates innate magnetism of divine beauty,
attracts the consciousness essence of mortal elements
to the emancipating aura of amazing bliss.

A rolling drum of thunder resonated
outside lightning twisted across the grey
expanse of sky simply inundating.
Trees began to tango, swirl and jive
while sheets of rain plummeted from clouds
pummeling our startled lawn,
emboldening the rhododendrons to bloom,
liberating the Clematis to sprout,
invigorating and exciting the whole garden

and all before the first day of spring.

Cascade of golden thread,
inundating web of light
kindling fires of ecstasy,
as blossoms stretch to heights;
blushing shower of flowers
soon scent springtime’s spray.

Elysian babes in Gaia’s nursery
ringing silent laughter to the sun,
gifting hope despite the elements.
Sacred stories unsung to earth
glean sustenance from her womb;
a celebration of rebirth.

Rose of bleeding hearts desire,
you sweet perfumes are elation.
Garden caretakers work full-time
and hopeful dreams do not elude
the awakening spirit’s
sip of refreshing dew.

An Inconceivable Force

                    Imagine...
                    An inconceivable force mystically sculpting
                    then infusing consciousness within brainwaves
of every living being, impalpably bestowing
freedom of thought and independence in
self-expression or of emotions encased in doubt or
belief, allowing the inner spirit to visualize and
comprehend the meaning of justice and absolute truth
immersed in the warmth of invisible love immeasurably
timeless, An Essence which indomitably reigns Supreme
without any constraints of reins or chains, omnipresent
in the midst of scorching solar beams, or blinding
                    snowstorms and inundating torrential rains...

Breathing in the chromatic fields
such tranquility as it yields.
to fade away the winter’s gloom
and celebrate the springtime blooms.

With elation of souls caress
I inhale the splendidness;
the aroma cache has been renewed
with sweet scents buds imbued.

Walking in the greenery
a kaleidoscope of scenery;
imprints its’ love upon my soul
as river sings upon its’ roll.

Inundating cascade of flora and fauna;
has me celebrating Gaia’s Nirvana.

Premium MemberA New Journey

Nimbus clouds drifted over me from the sinking horizon
Etched on these I saw the image of my marooned mind
Wandering forlorn in the seamless smoky sky of sorrow.

Broken dreams drizzled from the melting morose clouds
Enmeshing me with the latent lattice of gripping gloom
Gliding on the surging cascade of agony inundating the eyes
In swirling storm of devastating despair I searched for a trail.
Nascent dawn ascended with the rising sun promising me
New beginning as I found fervent hues flash on your face
Inspiring me to return from the edge of desolate wasteland
Never to stray away from the verge of the verdant meadow.
Gleefully I began a new journey on the garden path with you
Saw in your eyes all my departed dreams return one by one.

Her Honeyed Song

She comes to sing for bread and breath,
In a pathway by his window.
Time too is stopping this morning
With a longing to hear her voice.
She tiptoes, then stops, then tiptoes
Until she reaches the window.

Song in her mouth, guitar on her
Hand with fingers fixed on the cords,
But no song can come out because
Her lyrics get lost in his eyes.
She tries to draw back, but is drawn
Forth by that force the rose best knows.
So she stands and longs for his heart,
And spells his name on her guitar.

Then a new song fills her lips,
His heartbeat guiding the rhythm.
The lyric painting his portrait,
And the cords pulling him nearer.
He leaves the window and walks down,
Smiling, showing his thirty-two
Till he stands by her gentle side.

She keeps singing, inundating
Him with her soft honeyed voice.
He joins her, they sing and sing.
But when he turns to say a word,
She quietly walks away
Because she knows their skies are
Parallel to each other.

Wind Walking

Walking after rain
the wind teases and taunts the branches tall
 tickling leftover clinging leaves until they fall;
rain-soaked grasses fold and bend
pushed down by the inundating residue of rain escapes
 puddles forming at the bend of pathways newest landscapes;
rushes float in the breezes soft and fine
feathery whisps release into the atmosphere fair
 frolicking squirrels and rabbits skip and dance in the air;
solemn gray December days slide in
cooled and chilled in icy glazed froth gloss
 chastizing lingerers persistent teases of autumn summer loss;
now dark, deep purple shaded clouds
slip in out of their winter nebulous shrouds
declaring phantom silhouettes bold, brazen and proud.

I Am Not Worthy

clouds burst with shadowed fear
and i am encompassed in a deluging
rainfall

streaming with intense marvel, i seek
not refuge from the pelting showers
that envelope me in sorrow-
for i deserve to drown in my regret

salt pours down my cheeks-
i am forsaken once again, lost in lonely
memories with inundating emotions of
loss and remorse

i feel not the wet,
all i sense is the desire to be cleansed
and bathed in hope without being
drenched in spiritual apathy

as the rain laments down my arms,
all the way to my wrinkled toes,
i cannot help but remember the loss
of love i endured last week

so here i stand;
body soaked in despair and disarray-
awaiting my heart becoming a myriad
of affection…
              once again
