Underwhelmed Amnesiac

I’m not an artist
I’m not a genius
I’m not the largest or coming of Jesus
I’m not even close
Or even at most
I’m just a ghost and I’m draping my clothes
I’m just a debt
Another regret
I’m just a notion that you should forget
Just forget my face
I don’t have a place
I’m just an outline that will be erased
A needle in

The Insignificance of Skin Color

The color of love will prevail: we, white,
     black, yellow, red, shall pacify the clash
     between good folks and ignorant, white trash,
haters who oppress others without right!

In numbers, unity explodes like night  
     afire with light (like a delivering flash!)
  

Insignificance of Concepts

It's all

Concepts..

But somehow

Rendering an

Insignificance 

To concepts

Cheers separation

In its persistent 

And undisturbed

Lair..

Another concept...??

A Blade of Grass

So small 
insignificant it would seem
Alone 
Waving in the wind
From the view 
point 
Of the dirt 
Looking up
Wanting to be 
More
Never realizing
Just how
Important
A blade of grass 
really is
If only a blade can
Look from above
It would see
All the 
Blades surrounding it
Never alone
Always holding 
The earth 
together
So the 
Pressures from the 
Elements 
Don't wash
Away
No matter how
Insignificant 
You

The Mollified Man

The meekly
mollified man
subtly sews
his silently
simplistic sights
upon reality’s
rickety rufescent light .
Always left
lifelessly looming
beneath the brain’s
bashfully blurred
background
of benevolence.
Frankly flickering out
the faded flaws
whose firm
factual flames
of effectiveness
have by now
grimly grown
themselves
out of Life’s
limp lashes
of limelight .
Solemnly swearing
their silent
silken seas
of sorrow
into the
sulking sands
of insignificance .

extreme the hand snatch the cup
I will collect pride
very good morning my injured limbs
my sons
remember that time only disasters?
but everything in the flesh achieves healing
and already my defeats knew before:
the audacity of courage ignores
who will soon wear shame
she shrinks she hermit gets shy
spreads the sour scent of runaways
quarter to six I woke up
coffee how many

Into Infinity I Carry Insignificance

These ragged shards of breath, catching in my lungs with grasping fingers of jagged glass
Howling tormented wolves in my mind, clawing and shredding the last remnants of the last
Desperate attempts to live, temerarious in the quest to quench their thirst with blood
Monsters lurk in the shadows of my eyes, hungry for my conscious suffering

No rest,

Insignificance

Is there something so unique about us
It must be studied
Rats in a maze
Trapped between testing success and error
Predictable responses to critical impetus
The same trickery carefully edited
For the next information gathering phase
Caught between a fortune and a failure

Problem solutions for subsistence
Collecting data for

What great dimension of the vast beyond
makes Earth a microscopic vagabond?

There you are, my Earth!
I see you here next to our Moon
In this wondrous book- zoomed-in,
You shine above the rest
With cars and people everywhere-
Bridges, trains, skyscrapers, jets
Blue oceans with majestic ships-
Those wonders of our age,
Right here upon your sphere exist,
You great, important, busy, busy world.
There you are, my Earth-
      

The Insignificance of Man

Blunt deadly weapons of mass destruction
electrify, fracture, and
jeopardize *****Sapiens
species (and entire biosphere)
continuity rent asunder

doomsday declared (nuclear winter
gallows humor spelt
with eternal snow day)
dystopian authors outflanked
nuclear fallout wreaks worst

rocky horror picture
effected upon mankind
global (worldwide)
big screen radioactive
wee willy weber webbing

materiel severely seared
sepsis poisons deoxyribo
nucleic acid future generations
organic fiber cursed
simultaneous single simulcast

broadcast airs live after Royal Wedding
audience participation

Insignificance, Longevity

Late in life I struggle against my insignificance
When I should enjoy the freedom from performance before an audience.
Applause is happiness but if they withhold applause, embarrassment.
When Da Liu put me to work crunching hexagrams and spreadsheet
      numerology
Instead of ghost writing his books about t’ai chi for longevity
I was humiliated but

INSIGNIFICANCE


On earth’s unimagined vastness we creep
Yet unaware that she swims an even vaster pool
Whose abysses can not be plumbed deep
By the longest line of reasoning or rule


Each man tills his small part of the  orb
But the plough merely  scratches the surface
Leaving her with no permanent mark on her robe
Pyramids and  walls

It happened on the eve of May
From a dream awoken so tense
As the pounding of his lonely heart
Brought rhythmic relief to the silence
As he listened to the beating thoughts
Ideas began to make sense
So he pondered puzzle pieces
All the what’s and why’s of whence
But some things don’t have answers
So he laid there in

On an insignificant shore during,
An insignificant afternoon,
A moment of pause within a frenzied day,
On this plinth I rest with you.
After all the climbing efforts to capture,
An elusive view of that starfish,
You speak of the beauty around us,
This is it, the sense of place.
Here, I find.
