The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

THE NIGHT IS STILL LONG

Longer nights — shorter days.
Atrocities run rampant,
as witches claim the dark,
gathering to drink their reddish water.

Longer nights — shorter days.
Grumbling, as if two minutes stretch into hours,
dizziness creeping in,
for the night no longer serves its purpose.

The panic of being a nobody
strikes through their minds,
daggers in their hearts,
slowly devouring them.

Longer nights — shorter days.
From the windowpane, the world is still.
Even when the cock crows,
the night lingers on.
