A Christmas Wish

May your annual commemoration
of the winter solstice
with one of the Earth's poles
at its maximum tilt from the sun
be abundant with innumerable manifestations
of felicity friends good food and fun
and may the next full circuit
of the ecliptic engender
a propensity toward
bestowing plenteousness too
and may unparalleled prosperity
be forthcoming
and settle like snowflakes
gently upon you

Trapped by twisting strings

We are not trapped by iron bars ~ but by vibrating strings in a play

Stars, atoms, creatures and time itself are string figures still quivering
Ten heavens are trapped together by these unseen strings still weaving
All between the innumerable fingers of Saklas, still twisting

(Inspired by the scientific hypothesis of string theory, which states that everything on a subatomic level is made up of one-dimensional, vibrating strings).

Premium MemberThe Magic Feast

I saw magical faeries.
Tripping in and around
Sparkling wings shining
In the dazzling sunbeams
That transversally filtered
Through the mighty beeches
Of a Bavarian forest.

A royal feast proclaimed.
The mighty Queen arrived.
And took her place on a throne
In a prominent part of the glen.
Sumptuous abundant delicacies
Appeared out of nowhere,
Cheeses and pixie pears,
And saffron flavoured cakes,
Plus, milk laced with honey.

Enchanting lively music
Advanced towards the glen.
Happiness and Felicity
Thrilled the expectant audience.
Soon, darkness fell around,
But innumerable, bright glow worms
Lit up the secluded grassy glen.
Dancing thus began in earnest.
Until they tired out and all returned
To their cosy leaves to dream
About their lovely Fairy Queen.

Untold Meaning Of Love

Love is not just the use of words
Of a feeling, touching silence
Everything can be said easily
But "Love" is just one word
Has meaning behind the back
Innumerable emotions, fear
Hope and rights are hidden
People are afraid
If they fall in love
Others don't want to understand it
So maybe or perhaps
Love often remains silent
Untold, yet so deep.

Premium MemberTo Flatter my Delicate Arms - Sara Kendrick's contest

Suitors lined up, hoping to court me
           Promising plethoras of pleasure
           Tantalizing, teasing hints of treasure
To move my reticent, reluctant lips to say ‘Oui’

To obsequious bow to my innumerable charms,
While in a mirror of pomp, I primp and pose
When spot a man – mustachioed, mysterious – undisposed
To flatter my golden hair, narrow waist or delicate arms

An unlikely king or composer of Psalms
             Ill-at-ease with strongmen and heroes
Counselor to hobos, weirdos and zeroes
And I, drawn to his visage with increasing alarm

The Planting of Love

May my words fall like crystal dew
upon the soft soil of your loving heart.
May it sprout the seeds of affection,
growing with this nourishment.
May your passionate flowers blossom,
roses, violets, innumerable variations
upon the fresh green pastures of your heart
May grand sequoias touch the heavens.
May your forests flourish to time indefinite,
withstanding many storms and the test of time.
We will start a campfire
and reminisce about the years of growth.
Deep down, we are both assured
the forests will never stop growing.

The Wire

The wire's wound tight, and so taut 'round my neck.
And I know, 'less it snaps, I will soon lose my breath.
But my body and mind an innumerable wreck,
I can only just smile at the prospect of death.

Premium MemberMy Hourglass

It’s late at night. I’m alone, as usual,
not merely alone . . . lonely, so lonely.
A vivid image invades my thoughts--
an hourglass with innumerable grains
of sand, nearly all in the bottom.
I pray that reminders of aging and mortality,
whether subtle or blatant,
will not overshadow my desires
to pursue long-held goals and new ones.
Now I feel at peace; God is not through with me.

Premium MemberGNRT THOUGHTS INDIGENOUSNESS

You may have noticed throughout our trip across this country
over every mountain, river and stream
as we’ve marveled at all her beauty
there’s been an underlying theme.

With every mile we drove…every step we walked
we quickly began to understand…
no matter where we go in this country
there is an indigenousness to the land.

Everywhere we traveled we found stories
of indigenous legends, of their cultures…of their giving
of those who were here long before we came to colonize
and destroy their way of living

Across this country we have crossed innumerable indigenous remains
from Seattle, Washington all the way to Indian Harbor, Maine.

(In case you’re wondering…Indian Harbor…the last name that I dropped
was the original name of Corea, Maine…the last place that we stopped.)

And it saddens us to think how different our world would be
If it could have been designed…
with the indigenous knowledge, legends and folklore
we so callously left behind

There is sill hope for our country…we believe
still time to change…to understand
but to do this
first…
we must stop…and listen
to the indigenousness of the land

Onto all matter in me that matters
Fixed and incorporated need be
The nature of the universal spirit
For only then can I become
The rock that melts not in molten lava
Having gone through fruitful willful sacrifices
And innumerable sublimations
Of heart and soul at the core
Thus the purest and highest form of fire
Must unequivocally be acquired

A melancholy moon shone upon the earth.
Shadows lingered upon rows of tombstones.
I searched for solace in the vast cemetery
But alas, I found none to heal my wounds.

Days had passed with echoes of grief as I looked on.
Somewhere lay my love long buried, as birds above
Sang their melancholy melodies of death’s sorrow.

I sought amongst the ghastly ghosts of yesterday,
Remnants of the dark death that took so many lives.
Cursed Covid has taken many innumerable lives.

I sat on a tomb, beneath a cross, as tears flowed.
Echoes of our laughter seem to be heard in mockery.
The tall cypresses sent shadows across and I felt cold.

A soft breeze flowed all around and dusk began to fall.
Somewhere a beastly bell sounded its closing time.
Stars twinkled indifferently as a half-moon turned red.

Behind me, my love remained buried and lost.
There was no hope of finding any sort of peace.
I left the dead to mourn the dead and went home.
After all, tomorrow is another day, hopefully better.

June 3 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Job 13-15

Key Verse – Job 13:3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.

PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO LISTENS TO US
WHEN WE SPEAK TO HIM

Praise be to God for listening to us
when we speak to Him by His:
Grace about our guilt’s struggles
Goodness along His gift of salvation
Grandeur upon His granted strength
Guidance, girding our spiritual sustenance
Greatness, governed through His sovereignty

Job 14:20 Praise be to the Lord for prevailing over us with His:
Help against our helplessness
Holiness along His heavenly heralding
Hope to hover before our hopelessness
Honour that humbles us for our health-happiness
Hoisting against humiliating and hampering hindrances

Job 15:11 Praise be to the Saviour for
His consolations always:
Inspirational along His virtues
Innumerable and victorious
Influencing valiant vows
Important, never vain
Instilling values. Amen!
