This poem is honed alone,
Lined and timed for the Lozer Zone...
Prone to be prose if it grows like Pinocchio’s nose,
Yet, as far as that goes...
Who knows?
I felt like just another and I knew it,
Hated myself but was forced to go through it.
I knew illness and self-disgust were the forces making me do it,
Leaving me with negative feelings and emotions to prove it.
Constantly wondering why I was making myself do it,
Yet here I was, allowing my person to resuscitate but I blew it.
I TAKE A BREATH
I’d be quickly reassured by my thoughts it’s because I’m a monster,
Edibl-y consumed, I’m an imposter.
Forcing my beat and bruised body to no longer halter,
I will continue to give in to life’s disgusting consumptions faulter.
at birth, my grandson Jack’s eyes were amber like a wolves
his hair had a tinge of ginger that gave him a look of mischief
I had never seen such eyes, but the hair was familiar
My mother was a McCormick; the Irish have lots of redheads
People commented on the hair but not the eyes
Did they not notice those wolf-like orbs? I could not believe it
I guess redheads are rare, that is the impression I had.
I now dye my hair a red shade called burgundy; I adore it.
I wish it would grow out the right color, but alas,
It is growing out white, so I look like a skunk when it is time to dye
My grandson’s eyes have changed to a darker brown,
but he still has that lovely tinge that people marvel about.
it is June, the humidity is a mess
Kansas thinks it is August, I guess
reported to be a hundred degrees all week
by three o’clock, it is relief we all seek
summer is only two days in
everything is burnt, including our skin
It is June, the humidity is a mess
Kansas thinks it is August, I guess
I wonder how the trees feel when their leaves finally blow away,
Or when the baby birds nesting there grow old enough to give their mothers chase?
Sitting under her shade,
Do old trees feel pride when they’ve reached their resting age?
Patiently waiting paladins,
There’s thunder in my mind that contemplates,
Why is it that you can’t help but be selfless for all the rest of your days?
Maybe I could learn something from the trees as I hide from the Sun’s rays,
A slumber under your protection,
I wish I could thank you to your face.
I’m thankful for your creation,
I’m thankful you’ve never asked for your thanks.
I’m thankful for your patience,
I apologise for your brothers,
Memorialisised in the planks.
Tranquil,
I humbly offer libation.
I’m grateful for you,
Thanks.
cold water swimmers
have got a VERY apt name
they're called 'The BlueTits'
It's been a year now
And I'm still hooked up
With the one who'll never know
But let's cross this small ramp
Truth be told
I never liked you
Others might say I'm quite cold
But I was trying something new
I guess I'm sorry though
As you where there so I called you a distraction
Pull me out of the dark but I was still in the blue
A heart once broken beyond compare
While you where there to pick up and care
I guess I'm sorry though
Yes,I used you as my muse
But my heart never fell in your hands
I took you as my happiness, a new beginning , the one I could use
Thought it was better to flee from the land
I guess I'm sorry though
For going with the flow
Letting my imagination run wild
My mind be filled with lies even though I knew the truth
I couldn't help it though
As the thought of being in your hands made me feel mild
Hiding the sadness of my life I pretended to be blind
Not by love , but by what you offered
Something I cannot explain
I guess I'm sorry though
But I want you to know
Yes, I like you just not enough to love you
I don’t dream often, but I dream of Jeanie,
the only one who ever touched my Nadi.
I met her bathing in the Irrawaddy.
You’d classify her as an in-betweenie,
but looking pretty hot in that bikini!
She got me going when she called me ‘daddy’!
Jean self-identified as “thorough baddie,”
but never let me see her Kundalini.
I couldn’t leave her working in that paddy,
so whisked her off to Venice. Like Houdini,
she made the transformation: loved linguini:
but part-time jobs (a waiter, then a caddy)
meant I could not afford her. One bellini
cost forty bucks! Forget the Lamborghini!
I guess that was his pizza I said without a frown
My boyfriend who had stood, rapidly sat back down
I thought you were going to chase him I say
As long as they bill him, I’m good with it, says Jay
Glad he did not pick up the wrong pizza I point out
You mean our pizza? We would have both gave him a pout.
We cannot stop laughing, giggling like loons
He gave us a nod, and sent over six bright thank you balloons
Funny how they're all disappointed
When you willingly written a novel so predictable
But still upset when you yourself are unpredictable,
We all treat the ones we love like they're so fictional.
I woke up this mornin’ and my phone was playin’
A song about mornin’ rain
How did my phone know that it was rainin’?
I guess it’s smart and I can’t complain
I guess it’s smart
To project your signal
Straight up into the sky
I guess it’s smart
To be wild, young and single
To look at God and deny
I showed my face to the wall and it knew me
I didn’t even have to sign my name
This world makes it easy to do one’s duty
I guess it’s smart ‘cause it rarely complains
I guess it’s smart
To set up a system
Works at the blink of an eye
I guess it’s smart
To be like some victim
To look at God and deny
I talked to my lover but my lover don’t talk
It don’t even know that it is
Skin made of silicone and thoughts pale as chalk
I guess it’s smart based on its messages
I guess it’s smart
To channel the network
To cast that all-powerful die
I guess it’s smart
So don’t be that one jerk
Who looks to God and doesn't deny
I guess it’s real smart
To cancel the artist
At the word of the activist
I guess it’s smart
To question what “smart” is
But on this, I must insist
But on this, I must insist
Everything has a meaning in the universe, you, me,
If you see the night, a shooting star,
Someone surely loves you, have a dream,
Make a wish; listen gently to your heart.
Everything has a meaning in the universe, time,
La Valsa Da Dor de villa Lobos, all music
Cradles your heart with a soft sun, sapphire
Make a wish; listen gently to your heart.
Everything has a meaning in the universe, you too,
Cities in peace are the most beautiful, yes,
The sky, the night, the jams of mirabelles,
Write a poem; listen gently to your heart.
We possibly tried
I mean I guess we did technically try right
And I guess me being the way I am made it end
I also guess that none of it was your fault
Right?
I guessed it all
No one gave me answers
No one gave me that chance of actually knowing what was happening
Why didn't you let me fix it
Instead you let me estimate how much I meant to you
I had to guess mostly everything for our relationship
I guessed that since I was mentally unstable I was the cause of failure
But if you cared
If you even thought of me in anyway it would have been different
But I guess I wasn't good enough for that
We will never know though
When all you have is predictions the fact can be hard to find
Guessing through life doesn't always make it right
I did never guess how much I loved you and how much I cared
I knew
I knew I loved you even if it hurt others and I still do
I care
I wish you luck on your journey even though the predicament your in doesn't mean I will never see you again
When we are old and satirized I promise I will see you again
I will never guess on being with you before or after we die
Her house was decorated in sea turtles.
They were crawling on the walls,
lying around in rugs,
decorating tea towels, draperies and pillows.
I guess you like sea turtles I said.
Not really.
But they are everywhere.
I know, she said.
All this stuff was my mother’s.
I inherited it all.
And you don’t like them?
Not really.
I had no more words to say.
I was capturing the yonder skies,
when hath my belittled soul slowly dies;
THrough the time I've crept,
Solitude is the matter ,I've kept;
I was a colourless leaf slowly dying,
I was all alone and crying.
THEN my heart SPOKE,
For this world,Thou are a joke;
the more lonely, Are you,
The more brainly are you;
can not you get bliss,
Whatever state you call this.
push the throttle into the sky,
your heart may,but never shall brain cry;
With wonderous and awakening strength,
you smile with bliss,till last breath;
nor a friend's gratitude,nor an enemy's attitude,
what thou hath is BLISS OF SOLITUDE.
