Premium MemberPrayer At the Gallows

"Nobody favors a share ...
for sins I bear,
no one cares.

Now that the appointed hour pines faintly,
I stand in lights grace, a shadow no more,
barring lives in my wake and none before.

My cup did run over, right into me,
and spilt nothing,
and as I saw the empty cup,
I prayed.

Do tell, 'What does absence appear to be?'
Shunned by God as a void cataloged life.

Does it take some sordid form?

If so, be it horridly misshapen,
and be there a face that pulls night's veil,
luring darkness to hide its shame,
thus causing sleepless nights forevermore.

A son and brother were I and then a husband,
later, a father ... a family's man, thought I?

Benevolence accommodates me naught,
for charity had tipped over its cup.

Hopes I join with lives once shared,
those times when I was happy."

Collective Nouns- English Makes No Sense

Collective nouns, what do you mean?
Let me present-
A gaggle of geese,
A moose and some meese,
A tuft of grass,
And a band of thieves,
A fleet of ships,
And a flock of sheep
A flock of sheep?
Well, if the goose is geese,
geese are a gaggle,
moose is meese,
So, why is it not a shoop and a sheep?
ENGLISH! I think I might even sue!
I will take you to the BENCH of judges,
There we will resume!
You make a porridge of words
In your cauldron of 'sense',
Whilst you horridly cackle!
Your words need to be observed
Under a great big lens!

Premium MemberThe Watcher

Watcher ...

he wandered the upper
moorland mists -
the highest fells of Scottish countryside -
wrapped in robes of wan, wispy light …
aglow like the full of the moon,
and aback a white Arabian stallion …
he commanded the
brume and twilight shivers,
and could cleave sunlight with his sword,
turning noon to midnight in a swipe -
daubing the bluffs with
dreamy fog …
THAT, tales say,
was the essence of enchantment,
transforming the deepest darkness to a
glistening, pearly wonderland,
where starlight suffused every thing
and everyONE,
and the grandest of dreams were
realized, by simply breathing
that glimmering haze -
filling your being with a confidence and
care, immeasurable,
and drowning your spirit in
joy and contentment -
waves of euphoria permeating your marrow,
until nothing mattered but that light ...
not even the realization that
your mortality was at hand, and your
soul was now happily,
horridly ...

His.

Premium MemberAre You a Misfit

ARE YOU A MISFIT?

Per chance, in this universe, you are one?

That feeling, somehow you were born in the wrong century. You might look at common
dress.
You see it as dull, sloppy and freaky.
And you want clothes gallant, elegant and
even a tad cheeky!

Or the sense that you are a lone driver, facing
four lanes of oncoming traffic!
You ponder, what have I done wrong and down comes the pain and unbearable panic.

You get invited to an elegant soirée?
There you are, chandeliers and escargot galore.
However, you are pitifully ignored, feeling like a worn out mat, lying dead at an abandoned cottage door.

Now, let’s look at the way people think.
You see them as horridly light to heavily stuck in their brains!
Poor suffering you! You suffer from the thought they want to drown you with rats in a drain.

You suffer grossly from I-itis!
It’s time to give to the world, as it has given so
much to you.
And realize, they are not perfect either...
Give those people more than a chance or two!

Anger Zit

an endless supply chain
fueling its own purchase
may no rest come to the self condemned
they wont allow themselves
theyll throw it in the trash be sure
noone benefits from a zit without a cure
a foul black hole fastenes
its full grip
its influence never sinks, always rises
and a ball of disgusting hatred
has never felt so warm
has never felt so casually constant
for me to feed the chain
and feel good
so horridly

Why Does the Crow Cry

Many moons ago,
a languishing lamentation flow
carved a grievous path
in the red soil

Defying moral gravity,
downtrodden fallow weeps
flowed upward to the heavens
With river Nile ease

Native American Exodus
wasn’t done willingly
Oh, how the Five Nations
were saber led forcibly!

Time traveling eyes
need not ask why
Oh, why does the Crow cry?

Ask rather,
why did the crimson-winged Eagle
tell a bald-faced lie?

Many blood moons ago,
there was an Abib scarlet woe flow
Rapid gushes
making a slow, sorrowful path
Towards barren adobe Reservations

Defying logic gravity,
nether voices
offered an uprooted exchange

Trade Choctaw fertile land
(whereupon Creek footfall doth Seminole stand)
for Chickasaw burial sand

Miry ground
to baleful irrigation
live sadly on

Trail of Tears Exodus
was a lamentation overflow undertaking
Oh, how the Five Nations
were talon misled horridly!

Perpetual Cherokee tears
for the living dead is levee heartbreaking

Posterity passenger eyes
need not ask why
Oh, why does the Crow cry?

Ask rather,
why did the granite-hearted Eagle
let so many weary souls die?

Premium MemberSettling For Less

Oh, Lord, this is the worst thing
that we dot!
We will be lost at Sea, with
the rest of mediocre humanity.
Grousing, day and so hopelessly.
Why this and why not that?

Because we made decisions that
left us avoiding all spiritual growth,
challenges and avoiding the mat.
That leaves ourr souls, lifeless, void
and horridly flat!

Premium Memberunder the pier 2 -

why here?
why this way ... is it a message just for me??
no note, no signs of impending doom ...
you were all smiles this morning, mundane habits adhered to

"have a good day, Sweetness - I love you"
nose rub and a kiss, (the kiss WAS deeper than usual)
and in your eyes ... something ... odd
a touch of darkness, distance, chill ...

it didn't strike me then, but now ... a sick feeling deep-down
oh, dear God, did I miss something?!?
not like me ... not at ALL ...
I'm usually so perceptive, so attuned - especially to you ... to US

your cold skin, shiny porcelain in the moonlight
so horridly beautiful, so exquisitely horrid, (I retch)
they place you tenderly in a plastic bag, zipping it slowly
I will hate that sound now ... forever.

Used Clothes

My daughter
The world has grown you
Hastily Into a woman
As your blood flows

In my eyes
You are my daughter
The one whose little hand
I held on the way to school

My daughter
The war has grown you
Horridly Into a woman
As your little body has taken its blows

In my eyes
You are my daughter
The one whose hand
I shall hold as you return back to school

Used clothes
Is all your mother can afford

Free Cee Did I Say Years Or Fears

DID I SAY YEARS OR FEARS?

A thousand years ago when I was very young
Early on I learned to hold my tongue
Five hundred years ago when I was a bit more mature
I leaned not to hold the hand of a pretty lady who’s too impure

Impurities are poison to the body of love loudly declared
When infections combined with imperfections are bared
An adulterous adult woman adulterated the soul we each shared
While the equine of inequalities nostrils flared

We were both discontented and she was dispassionate as well
I’d never been to paradise yet with surety I’m headed for hell
Rapture ruptured and bliss began, as a snake, to horridly hiss
While ecstasy exacted an excuse for every exciting yet un-kindled kiss

For a thousand years I have lived thus far
Yet purposefully my tongue remains sealed as if by steaming tar
Lovely ladies have come and gone precisely like the seasons
And they all have a rational why they leave but they’re all f*cking ridiculous reasons

Who Am I

life in general can be
complicated
things never seem right
problems that can never be
fixed
confusion sprouts up in my
head
ideas turn to mush
feelings blur together in a giant
black blob
this is me
nothing i can do to change it
this horridly ugly body that my
once so open mind is stuck in
never being able to understand
who i am or what i am here to
do
things ive never thought about
are stuck in my mind
the problems in my life are
uncontrollably rolling down hill
people i once thought about are
being lost in time
the friends that i thought were
everything are now distant
memories
all except for one
who seems to be the best thing
in my life at this moment
to bad he doesnt seem to
notice i could be something
more than a friend
the most important people in
my mind seem to disapear
who am i?
and how do i find out

Torn Skin

Torn Skin

Sitting in the darkness
harmony of crickets chirping their mating call,
muffled, time consumes life whence blazing blade,
dazzling as it is, seduces body’s fair skin,
powerless senses emotions out of control.
 Answers gone from reach,
 heavy breathing naught amiss.
woman ravished heart dissolved in tears,
solitary languor torn from my soul
 anguish overwhelming, torment fulfilled.
Remorse gilded destiny untold,
cavorts in pallid light, trickle,
 consequences abound me,
decayed love horridly unfolds.
Vermin all about me inducing gaze on torn skin.
Things said meant for eternity Raucous impudence,
Pall of calm, wrought quell, love gone.
Majestic solemn horizons swept into my lofty room,
sunrise’s rays enfold through misty haze,
moist rays profoundly empty solitude.
 Life sleeps
