Both stubborn, more hardheaded
compromise was defeat
Never wrong but seldom right
enjoy the arguing
Could talk all day about nothing
but someone went left
the other stay right
Words exchanged but never violently
loud and profound each believed
the other thought the other nuts
Never met in the middle
divided by sides
Yet each looked forward to the times
they could met and converse
everything to anything under the Sun
Been awhile since I last saw him
would set at our spot waiting
but he never showed
One day his sister Tess walked by
Liam was not expected to live
Thanked her and gave sympathies
Did not see him, just could not go
strange I felt betrayed
Miss the funeral, couldn't do it
could not make myself go
A year after his death
I visited his grave
I left a stone engraved with two words
Peace Brother.
Silence does not win the argument he barked.
Nothing more can be said after victory I replied.
You you you always you
never can let you go
time moves too slow
the past lingers now
as I wish somehow
for you you you, always you
Goodbye was for the best
from each other we needed rest
so many fights so many tears
but our love was always there
Both hardheaded both wills strong
neither could ever be wrong
If I gave in would I still be holding you
would you want me than, what do to
Passions burned we had great times
I always knew love would find
a way for us to find that way
both so stubborn I could not stay
You left me a letter but the page was blank
you signed your name but nothing to read
I filled it in with words for us to think
I sent back I love you do you love me
You you you always you
never can let you go
time moves so slow
the past lingers now
as I pray somehow
for you you you, always love you...
the young learn of life's bruises
failed jobs, craters along the way
they forge forward
too ashamed to look back,
but too hardheaded to stop
for that next challenge to face
There was a gentle tiger named Dreaded
He met a donkey who was hardheaded
That donkey just wasn’t afraid
Refusing to run, he stayed
Dreaded roared loud, “you’re just too pigheaded”!
Hardheaded Or Headstrong
Miracle Man

Mom often said Tommy, “you’re too hardheaded”,
I suppose I wasn’t sure just what those words meant.
From childhood these words were deeply embedded,
but I must have did things with no thought to relent.
Personality changes that came, didn’t take long,
As I grew into my twenties I always had my say.
So I continued being, a young man, headstrong,
many times it became, “my way or the highway”.
I took great pride in saying what others did refuse,
always being truthful and without hurtful intent.
I’ve never been reluctant in expressing personal views,
sometimes I’ve just sought an opportunity to vent.
Then came a day, with much of life being spent,
and I faced issues that I couldn’t handle alone.
Seeing Jesus’ face I knew I needed to repent,
so I made the decision that for my life I’d atone.

There's a passport I would like to revoke
from one person who thinks it's a joke
to repeatedly make fun of fellow writers.
Like a pugilist, she calls us 'prizefighters.'
What harm if we enjoy entering contests?
That doesn't prove whose poetry is best
because one person's opinion has weight
and another says it's open for debate.
If she's trying to deflate anyone's intellect,
she won't do it with a weapon of disrespect.
I applaud people who bravely try a new form
They're not afraid to write out of the norm.
She stabs with a pen, trying to draw blood
while sitting on her toosh like a couch spud.
We don't write to be popular. She's wrong,
but lord, she keeps howling the same ol song.
She claims we want attention and a high profile,
but her posts draw attention in words that defile.
I've never understood why her eyes get glazed
over contest entrants who should be praised.
She dares write of grace and having humility
but complains vehemently, and with hostility.
Her PS passport should be revoked & shredded
as punishment for being rude and hardheaded.
The Grim Reaper gave up
So he sent his most fierce three
Their goal was simple
To scare the bejeezus out of me
I am hardheaded, and stubborn.
I was not about to go easily.
They learned the hard way
These so called fierce three
Sure, Reaper, send them when I am asleep.
Lying here, innocently, alone and unprotected.
I am not one to wail, keen or weep.
Yet I did not do what these entities expected.
The evil thoughts they tried to instill in my head
And the hateful ideas they tossed my way,
Were quickly thrown to the floor off the bed.
You see I was not born yesterday.
These three stopped laughing and began to moan.
They did not realize how hard my death was going to be.
Grim Reaper showed up and rolled his eyes at these crone.
I told you she would not go very easily!
A cranky old man that rules his household
from his armchair. There isn't one he doesn't scold.
With jabbing comments and taunts;
feels he can say what he wants.
A shameful big mouth, hardheaded and bold.
His chauvinist views; women with boobies
were created to make meals and babies.
He still lives in the stone age
putting people in a rage.
Crazed old man, no respect for the ladies.

I can't stay awake
My mind is about to bake
Are they trying to put me to sleep
Not taking them for my sake
My thoughts will not stop
Awake, I did pop
So forget it!
Some poems I will drop
Can't keep this man down
Hardheaded, Yea I wear a crown
And I like it!
Smile, Don't frown
It makes my hands shake
When did the earth quake?
How is this better?
Guess what, I'm awake
for all narcissistic purposes,
are you my yeyo,
my guiding light
my guardian, my knight,
my moon, my morning,
my moonlight in darker nights,
I am lightheaded, yeyo
and warmhearted,
by you,
my yeyo
I am even hardheaded.
I get violent for you, yeyo
I am weakened by the climax of your imagination
I dare not belong to another
I positioned myself for this very poison
tabooed by you, my yeyo
so love me.
The Unborn Child
I wonder will they let me in?
Will they furnish me with life support?
I want to be my Grandpa's friend,
his pride, his joy, and his hero in sports.
Really, it’s not his decision
for these nine months to go on through.
Mom and Dad, it’s up to your religion
to see that I’m worthwhile and needed, too.
Oh God, I’ll make them love me,
please, God, tell them both to go on.
I won't act hardheaded, nor wicked nor will I be ,
apathetic and sad, nor gripe and moan.
I’ll lie restfully in my Mother's arms.
Please, God, tell them both to let me be
BORN.
You hate rules,
I hate fools,
You hate school,
I hate tools.
I like pools,
You're like a mule.
Hardheaded,
Bullheaded.
Fools do not
Go to school
Fools do not
Follow rules.
Emma does right
Emma don't fight,
Why won't you
Go to bed at night?
If you won't
Go to school,
And you won't
Follow rules,
Then you won't
Know which tools
To use
For the job.
I'm so uffing frustrated
It's late night n my pupils dilated
Blood pressure sky rocket like I'm ovulating
N life ain't wasting no time
Like its obligated
Catching me slipping on the sideline
Right beside being patient
On a ledge trying to hold on
Just trying to say this
But daily it seems like I'm not supposed to say nothing
It's Vegas
I understand the situation so I'm quietly changing
Nah
Let me take that back I'm just tryin to change this
One perspective way of looking
The only way I know that's how I made it
This far n now I'm posted in the land of endless vacation
I've traveled a lot
But this plot that I got I'm just trying to stay in
Too hardheaded to quit that's my problem
No need in others sayin
Of course it's not gonna be easy
This ain't a game it's life ain't it
Yeah I'm prideful I know
Another thing in the process of work
It's changing
But everything ain't the same so
Now I gotta flow with the game
Love every headache
Just want shyt to settle in
Because I'm tired of me having my breath wasted
N being patient
Seems to be the only remedy
So I guess at night I gotta pray harder
That's what I see
Shes the kind that loves to hear truth when its spoken softly
Not phrases from a, mind that is currupted redeem me!
Any man betrays me is destined for an awakening
Verify this the code of Honor
Gestures boy make them .pretty faces she makes at me
I hop in her thoughts then i jump out dressed in her love still.
Spoke in a style she gave me.
Personalized the order she deserves it.
Its fortunate I'm telling u its a godsend just to be the guy she becomes involved with.
High on the scent of her hair and.
And ill kiss her if she dares me.
She is a renegade on phase two. A mighty Temptress as we switch,to phase three.
And threats of violence dont phase me
Ask my Momma and she can tell you " the streets r the only thing that could raise him"
Hardheaded nah, just not the one to bow down to a man or,idol .
Look i give u game four dollars for a friend feel me.
Thirty points i have made her.
I'm the highest scorer on her team man.
We were nobody to each other.
Suddenly you appeared, my world went upside down.
How did opposite come?
I'm nothing like you, you are depressed, careless & hardheaded yet you found a way into my heart.
Whispered such sweet words.
Shouldn't we be natural enemies?
Having you move on while being stuck on the past.
The unspoken words started to come around.
Did we move to fast, were we blind?
You & I shouldn't, couldn't be together.
All this time, we werent on the same page, How come?
We tried to offer what we didn't have...
Time wasted, words spent, & feelings disappeared....
