Hallmark?

sappy stories of rich or
upper middle-class people
starting businesses or
trying to save existing ones

handsome men and
beautiful women
newly divorced
or never married

modern versions of
daytime soap operas
you may not watch for a month
and not miss anything

good thing my wife has
a television in the guest room
downstairs I can watch
ANCIENT ALIENS!!!!!

Not Made for Hallmark

We took a break,
fortunately, it was a time
when we could not stand each other.

Whirlwind romances
spun like dandelion puffs
in a thin, just barely breathable air.

I knew retrospectively
that she was three years younger than I
and I was five years younger
in puppy dog years.

When we met once more,
we argued over some bitter bones
we thought we had long buried.

After a prolonged snarling match
we had a cataclysmic coupling
that lasted to the following Sunday.

A priest blessed our union,
suggesting that from now on
we only contaminate each other -
and none other
with our dog-eat-dog love.

Premium Member Hallmark Christmas 2024

A Hallmark Christmas and full moon beam
I could watch all year, would be my dream
The Love, the happiness & hot cocoa
the spirit of Christmas and soft white snow
the cookies and treats, decorations galore
the festivities and markets and so much more
Oh, how I love - good wishes coming true
I live through movies, that’s what I do.

For here in Australia, we have the heat
dreams are hard yakka, most days we’re beat
I don’t mind the beach and barbie or two
cook a few snags & salads will do
But family is distant, and money is tight
the spirit of Christmas isn’t so bright
and being alone makes me lose my spark
so, I live and love my Christmas Hallmark.

Premium Member Inflation Strikes Hallmark

Pennies, nickels and dimes
no longer take up our time

Even a quarter's value falls shorter
~ no longer buys cheap valentines

Premium Member Anatomy of a Hallmark

For those who love the Hallmark reels
with stories that give all the feels
You’ll notice that in every one
there is the same web to be spun

The small town girl who comes back home
her city slicker job to roam
Has led her back to find romance
to give someone a second chance

And then, that interrupted kiss
that makes us wait for wedded bliss
Precedes that stumble and near fall
fair maiden saved by one so tall

Of course, there shines our Christmas glee
to warm the hearts of all who see
The Holidays will save the day
when lovers seem to lose their way

The cookie sales and Santa’s wink
That magic that still tickles pink
And knowing that it all will mend
about five minutes till the end!

So safe, so sweet, that Hallmark thrill
When such a show is on the bill
So make ye fun, if that must be
But there’s no bigger fan than me

 cookie cutter movies,
parading through holiday,
with a ho ho ho
and mistletoe,
angelic beings appear
mysteriously, giggling.
there’s magic globes
of Winter cheer, shaking
up the villagers, ski-slope
cascades of brunette and blonde hair,
billowing. and handsome men
falling for each one. North Pole
decor to the extreme - where else
would most of us peruse this feast?
so we compare to our own existence,
hollowed out with suffering persistence,
yet in a different way the hugs are huge
and ours — they belong to **our** hearts.

Hallmark Birthday Greeting Card

I hope you like this Birthday Card

It cost me almost £3.50

And took me over 10 minutes to pick

I didn't know whether to go with
the sentiment classy or funny

But then it eventually dawned on me

It doesn't matter which 1 i choose
Or the message i write inside

Because sadly you have heard
all my appologies and excuses
over a 1000 times before

That is why i plumed for this 1

And all it says is simply
Happy Birthday

This 1 never got lost in the mail
I never forgot at a mates house or a pub
Or arrived posthumously after your actual Birthday

This 1 won't cost you
This 1 won't hurt you

This Card is merely just simply to say
A genuine Happy Birthday to you

Sorry i was never actually there for you
Sorry for never ever making you
feel special on your Birthday

Sorry for being an emotional retard

But mostly i am sorry for the fact
This card will end up un-read in your dustbin

Because when all is said and done
Life and Birthdays should be spent with loved ones

Not with has been emotional debts and regrets

Premium Member A Hallmark Moment

A hoarfrost weave of glistening alabaster crystals,
forms a brittle web of tenuous tentacles
that crept across the frozen ground
and up the trunks of the naked trees;
encapsulating barren branches in an icy sheath,
attesting to Nature's immutable beauty.

Dawn, pencils in light and shadow
creating a surreal sketch bereft of color;
awaiting Autumn's phantasmagorical brush.

In the interlude between Dawn and sunrise,
a formidable six-point buck prances into view;
demurely projecting the illusion of a hallmark postcard.

But the sound of crunching leaves underfoot
breaks the spell, shattering the imposed silence:
as time unpauses the moment, and Nature carries on.

A Hallmark Moment

A Hallmark Moment

Bask in the field starring up at the sky
Out of sadness you get a glimpse of a passerby
Through shadows that close their weary ways
We lie helpless having one of those days
Inside we smile to help fight the pain
To treasure a red rose that was plucked a time before
Shape dreams from the sky a fleeting angel in flight
A beacon of light to a much hurting world in need
As seagulls flock over head it pierces to the soul
Words spoken in soft melodic dew can often roll
The mountains have etched a cavern in my brain
We walk humbly with are mate as if on are first date
A plate of salad mixed with berries & lime
The soft kiss from a loved one pierces to the soul
Crafted created elegance in the simple touch exposed
An opened door to so much love for so much more
Borrowed pews in thier church stained glass scene
Beware of entertaining strangers might be angels in disguise
A pull at the heart should light the inner spark to what were waiting for
Long walk in the woods searching for birds nestled after there flight
Love should be the essence of one's existence so stop the resistance

Hallmark Breakup

I wrote you this card to break you the news
By the time your done reading, I'll have broken up with you
You lied and you cheated, you were dishonest
We had a great love, but you just went and tossed it
So while you were cheating, you didn't have a clue
I went and replaced you, I found someone new
She's sweet and nice, and a whole lot cuter
Plus she don't star in ****, on every guys computer
So now its all over, this is the end
I would say I'm sorry, but this isn't pretend
I should of never given, my loving heart to you
Let me make it clear, WE ARE THROUGH

Hallmark Southern Funny 1

Our love it grows like southern kudzoo
Everywhere I go I'm reminded of you
In all of the faces and some empty places
And even at the dirt track races
But the time has come for something much bigger
Getting you a ring, its time I figure

Hallmark Card 1

I'm looking back and I have to surmise
It was the day we met, when I looked into your eyes
I got completely lost in a hypnotic stare
I was in so deep, I fell out of my chair
You took my hand, asked if I was alright
I still can't believe how I fell that night
I've continued to fall everyday since
Now we live in a house with a white picket fence
One more thing I want you to know
I truly mean it when I say I love you so

Hallmark Holiday

Everyone says,
And shows,
There love,
And affection to,
To someone,
But most people have no one,
So tell me that you are the only one.

It makes this day,
Really suck!
I hate Hallmark Holidays,
All you do,
Is constantly,
spend more and more money,
On people who most of the time,
Cares right at the moment.

This day is so,
Over rated,
Over talked about,
Over did,
And,
Over priced.
This should not even be called a,
"Holiday".

I hate that day!
It should be called,
"Single Awareness Day".
That is a day that all,
Single people strongly dislike.

Valentines day is a day,
That is so over rated,
And every other thing that goes with that.

It should not even,
Be considered a fricken Holiday!
VAlentines day is supposed to,
To make people happy,
But Instead it make most people,
Feel lonely, and not loved.

Premium Member A Hallmark Valentine

The Valentine cards are everywhere.

In Hallmark I wish I owned a share.

And at seven bucks a shot

The one with whom you're besot

Can just flip it to see if you care.
