We Take Things For Granted

Every breath you take isn't good to take lightly
Every near death experience teaches that slightly 
We're shown love from our friends and families constantly in every way 
We take their presence for granted thinking they'll be there everyday
We take our five senses for granted and don't view them as gifts
We live life like its guaranteed

Taking Electricity for Granted

we just lost power
no biggie
I’ll fix something to eat
maybe not
unless I want cold food

I could type up some poems
If my computer would work, but it won’t without power
the refrigerator is out, the oven is out, the TVs are out
the internet is out, the power tools are out

Our cars are stuck in the garage
I just put

Granted yet denied

Spirit remains young though body ages,
heart harbouring desire for a rebirth,
bringing back next time wisdom of sages,
that blissful and joyful be time on earth,
where presence is always bubbling in mirth.
Refrains replay with memory erased,
with each immersion leaving soul amazed.

Same scenery but different views

Sixty five days ago, on a sunny Saturday,
I came here with some body.
It was supposed to be our first time,
But it turned out to be the last too.
Time flies fast as it passed you.
At the end of the trip, he suggested,
We both wrote a poem each,
It was not to compete,
Just to express one own feeling.

What a wonderful day

My daily routine.
Every day, as always,
Wake up at four.
Start the chores.
Go to the gardens,
Do some maintenance.
Visit the M Central
Play the piano.
One hour goes past,
Enjoy some breakfast.
Go to the library,
Take up space,
Use the computer/internet,
Lunch with meal set.
In the arvo,
Play more and more piano.
Otherwise, visit "Maker Space".
Do some embroideries
For the rest of the day.

Happy birthday to my sister.
She turns a mile stone at the new corner.
Now she earns the title of being a senior.
Congratulations to you, my sister.
Congratulations to me too.
Today, I was introduced the Poetry's world.

Christmas wishes granted

Dear child B66.
Don't wait for a perfect friendship.
Make your friendship to be perfect.
Don't dream of a perfect family,
Make your family to be perfect.

All I want for Christmas was you to be happy.
All I want for New Year was you to have a perfect and lovely family of your own.

Today's child 
I see the child 
Surrounded by wolves..
Pain never felt 
Tears never shed..
The nestling has been accepted into the eternal den 
Received, concealed, protected..
Reclaimed against the will of the maker 
We that live outside the back are but scavengers..
Approaching the alpha nervous 
Conquered..
Enraged when our selfish requests are not consummated

Darkness Taken for Granted

brighter afternoon
after the solar eclipse
four eyes put away
as couples are high-fiving
emphasizing  photographs

heigh-ho back to screen
first to post solar eclipse
along with the throngs
lucky strike of sunshine gold
its older than the black hills

the sun soon will set
but will all appreciate
the normal darkness?

without retinopathy

How I wished I had been granted to know

How I wished I had been granted to know,
The depth of the unused words, the hallucination of a happiness with purpose.
My labor, how much has dissipated into the void, in the vast unknown,
All the zeal, all the toil – a deaf echo, a terrified phantom, and a fasted feast.
The pains take shape in a carnival

dreams will be granted tonight

Hugging her legs in pure joy
She felt the graciousness of the moon
Dreams will be granted tonight said the owl
Her power animal who was going to make sure

Too Many Chances You've Been Granted

I'm a heartless bit-- you say
Getting my way every day
But I do not call this livin'
With the chances you were givin'
How many times did I hear
I am sorry with a tear
In your eyes so I don't leave
Always making me believe
You will try and do more
So I don't leave out the door
I beg and plead, saying

Privilege Granted Taken Away

One day even 

I myself do know

Everything and everything

I have taken for granted

Up until this point now

As ungrateful misguided mistaken privilege 

Will all be taken away

Without me be given a second chance

And upon that fateful day and time

All of my gratitude , thanks and appreciation

Won't matter a single damn at all

Because I will at that
