I hate all things smiley and happy
Won't win you any fame
Stop-it's only trippy
And it comes across as lame
Don't come to me with your joy
It only peeks my suspicion
And it's starting to annoy
Completely, by admission
Soon you will see it my way
Happiness is making me sick
And it's completely ruining my day
I won't fall for your poison trick
I'm not having it today
I hate all things smiley and happy
Make your gleefulness go away
Because it's driving me crazy
Just let me be, be gone cheery face
Completely irritating is your cheer
Why are your smiling in the first place?
Take that happiness away from here
The shiny box tempted her the most!
A turquoise ribbon just glowing!
It was from her best friend and the host.
Their true, long friendship showing.
Truly, no gift was needed.
She picked up her box with glee!
Their years together, appreciated and compassion, to the nth degree
The box was light , ribbon glowing like a peacock feather!
Opening it made her breathless!
Both had eyes upon each other.
with tears , appreciating true character!
Inside the box, she discovered naught
but tissued rainbow paper .
Representing decades of love and
truthfulness.
Reflecting their total honesty and heart
chambers.
The splendid cake of gleefulness, filled the room with the joy of openness!

With gleefulness, we wait for spring to show-
as winter slowly fades away each year.
Enough of weather with cold temps and snow;
we're set to welcome sprouting vernal cheer
from sleeping trees and plants beneath the glow
of warmer sun and longer days that clear
the way to revel in the joys of spring
with vibrant blossoms and sweet birds that sing.
Soon, verdant leaves from wakened buds will sway
and dance amid the soothing, gentle breeze,
as pansies and forsythia make way
to paint fine pastel art with hues that please,
while tireless birds, with grass and twigs, crochet
their nests to fill with life among the trees.
Entrancing springtime plans and shapes its days
to bring us gifts of rebirth that amaze.

Dear Gershon!
You are such a kick here and marvelously individualistic!
I hope you enjoy this acrostic! You are a credit to the Soup,
this country and a gift to us all!
Thank you, so much!

Luna’s October madness laughs at the gleefulness brought by Halloween
So orange children can put their thumb and index finger up and squeeze
Fresh orange juice of her in their minds.
Parade of laughter from the west. Luna’s attention is drawn.
Masked trick-or-treaters, mothers following, looking at their cellphones.
Cowboy, space invader, doctor, lawyer, alien, unicorn, princess, princess.
Luna rolls her eyes. Too many princesses again this year.
A lone giggle from the east. Luna stares, not seeing a human at first.
What was that? Where was it coming from? She concentrates.
Sees bare movement from the witch on the porch of a house.
Is that a costume? Another giggle. Luna rolls her eyes. Knowing it should be a cackle.
Too early for owl to hoot, but Luna stares at him anyway.
It would be scary and fun for the kids if he would. He turns his beak on her.
Luna does not mind. Counts six more princesses. Where is their imagination?
She had better work harder during their dream state.

For life in my life I rebuff you; evil you are
You are sinister – black is your emblem
You are sadness; gloom is your offer
You are undying... world's enemy
With no invitation you come to who you will silently
You are elephant, devourer of stream
Of happiness; I need not your hand in my way
Come ~ happiness, blissfulness and gleefulness I am here

I can't wait for the Twilight
When Phosporescent will shine your Light!
And I will be in your Sight
Never to be kept out of your Sight
Please my handsome Knight
Your suffering Princess
Is in Achiness
To be swept by your Charms
In Your Loving Arms
Compromising regard to life
thou being my curse
turning my world asunder
in your regard I was lesser
a presence in whispers
You the filch-er stole self
the cadence of speech
seem as missives
reaching a velvet caress
raising expectation
your delusion no mistruth
nectarous phrase
dripping love
suddenly discord pricks
a deceived psyche
Thou eyes serpentine
gave thee away
glinting ego
treachery unveiled
A crescent moon
bandits signal light
cloaking and revealing
razor sharp talons
slicing my psyche
demon shadow
concealing
your gleefulness
at arranging its pieces
a grotesque disarray
your magnum opus
the crumbling effigy of my entity
plundered dreams shattered
to nothingness
Still
holding portions of self
supplanting thee
is no question
as time rules
so
my being follows you
Piece by bloody piece …
