Best Birthday Gift

The shiny box tempted her the most! A turquoise ribbon just glowing! It was from her best friend and the host. Their true, long friendship showing. Truly, no gift was needed. She picked up her box with glee! Their years together, appreciated and compassion, to the nth degree The box was light , ribbon glowing like a peacock feather! Opening it made her breathless! Both had eyes upon each other. with tears , appreciating true character! Inside the box, she discovered naught but tissued rainbow paper . Representing decades of love and truthfulness. Reflecting their total honesty and heart chambers. The splendid cake of gleefulness, filled the room with the joy of openness! 3-13-2022

A "Wonderful" write. Every Christmas my aunt sent me the same small box. Your write took me back in time to that great memory. Good memories are the best. Have a great/blessed day................

One really can't put a price on friendship...that's why cards and poetry are so popular, because gifts can't by themselves say it. And a hug. That's important also. Blessings.
