I would much rather risk having an encounter with a cougar or grizzly bear,
as opposed to being alone in the wilderness and cross paths with a stranger.

GOD GIVEN A WOMAN FROM HIS HEART---

Oh, Lord give me love
Give me a love that’s never failing
Give unto me someone who is faithful and sure
Honesty pure grant me your daughter
Father God give me agape
Give me your finest
Help to live long to find her
I am worthy, surely
Oh, Lord give me a love of your heart
God given woman from His heart

By God Had Been Given a Toy

By God Had Been Given A Toy

By God Had Been Given A Toy,
For us to both love and enjoy;
With play,
Each day;
Turned out to be a little boy.

Given a Memory

If I gave to you a memory

Hold it close to you

Keep it safe

Never let it go

Never let it escape

Keep my memory on a leash if you must

Keep it in good health and shape

If I gave to you a memory

Keep it forever

For each memory i have of you I keep them close to me

The memories you gave me are my treasure

More value than a lump of gold

The memories you gave me keep my heart from getting cold

Share with me a memory

Forever, from now until you are old.

If Given a Choice

If given a choice
Or had my own way
My current address
Is not where I’d stay
But rather I’d opt
For nautical terrain
And dwell along
The coast of Maine
No more meetings
Or phones or faxes
I’ll dig for clams
To pay the taxes.

Given a Glimpse

God is everywhere at the same time
Evidence of faith
was provided to science of a quantum kind
Understand this about God,
and it will serve you well
Being all places at once
is omnipresence unveiled
Poor science wedded to rich faith,
a marriage of man's evolving progress
to reach modernity
Civilization's baby was born in antiquity
Those who profess that God is great,
do you understand
that your knowledge of Him is but a speck of sand
Those who profess that God is good,
do you understand
that the next quantum phase will be eternal brotherhood
God has given us a glimpse
of the future ---
to see things as they will always be
Love and peace will reign forever
when the transformation begins
At the next quantum phase there will be no end
Now do you understand
the science of spirituality
Now do you understand
the mystery of infinity

Apollo Creed was the master in the ring.
Most fighters thought facing him was a foolhardy thing.
To defend his title, who was he to fight?
There were some contenders, but none of them seemed right.

From the ranks of unknowns, Apollo chose a fighter.
Practically nobody knew this Italian-American amateur.
This street smart Philadelphian worked as a meat packer.
For a loan shark, he was an enforcer and collector.
Out of some possibilities, this one looked right.
In front of his hometown crowd, Rocky would be in the spotlight.
Given a shot at the title, Apollo was the one he would fight.
What happens in the fight? Do you want to see?
All I have to tell you is watch the movie.

Inspired by the 1976 film “Rocky”

Limerick : Once a Heavy Weight was given a choice

Once a Heavy Weight was given a choice
Either to eat rice or curried lice
Mice in his training camp
Carried lice for their champ
So he ate raw rice with curried mice.

If given a choice between wisdom and beauty
I’d have to choose wisdom out of pure sense of duty.
Duty will call me to be all that I can
And wisdom will aid in my service to man.

While wisdom is there to be used every day,
Beauty is fleeting in a physical way.
Wisdom is solid – has so many uses
While beauty just lies there, spouting excuses.

Yet, beauty has value that wisdom will seek
And wisdom is silent when others might speak.
Silence is golden and down through the years
I have seen wisdom prevent beauty’s tears

I hope in your traverse through life here on Earth
Through eyes of beholders you see wisdom’s worth.

What Tomorrow Will Never Bring If Today Hasn'T Been Given A

What tomorrow will never bring if today hasn't been given a chance,
It's hard to see, but everyday is worth a second glance.

Most of us seem to skip over the details of life of which we could actually learn
from,
So many of us will never know as a person what we had potential to become.

Everyday is a new day to decide to have a good day,
A lot of us do not choose this, we walk around in great dismay.

Everyone has had a day gone wrong that they can recall,
It's a test God has thrown you a curve ball.

You either hit it hard and make the best of it or let it take you out,
some choose to watch it fly and will be ahead beyond any doubt.
