Given a Memory

If I gave to you a memory

Hold it close to you

Keep it safe

Never let it go

Never let it escape

Keep my memory on a leash if you must

Keep it in good health and shape

If I gave to you a memory

Keep it forever

For each memory i have of you I keep them close to me

The memories you gave me are my treasure

More value than a lump of gold

The memories you gave me keep my heart from getting cold

Share with me a memory

Forever, from now until you are old.
