Ten years have passed since that June day,
When we both vowed that, come what may,
We would stay true as man and wife:
Be ever faithful all through life.
Now I sit alone and wonder
How such love was cast asunder.
Still time before you close the door.
Will you stay on and try once more?
NEVER GIVE UP
We still have many stars and planets above and far
from us so go ahead, put a friendly message in a bottle
and throw it to the water keeping your thought open like
a book
Whatever you do and wish, get out of your box to socialize
and never give up- this is a message from the Lord which all
need to hear
Long as you leave your box then unbottle your feelings and hopes
there is no true reason to give up or even into discouragement
no matter where it comes from
So, strum a guitar and go somewhere to dance or take lessons
with a smile taking caution not to fall into a pile that’s not sterile
Do something you have never done before and worry not
what others think of you-Never Give Up!
If you failed love,
Make friends.
Out of them,
One you may choose.
From there,
Forge to develop true friendship.
Then, learned to love again.
Don't just give up the whole forest
Just for one tree.
I have a thousand reasons not to work,
but I have only one reason to work, and that is my dream.
I have no motivation, no discipline anymore,
I only have a dream. I worked yesterday, I work today, and I will work tomorrow.
A thousand failures stand in my way,
yet for the sake of one victory, I refuse to give up.
I am enduring every defeat, every insult, every humiliation,
because one day, my time will come.
I am breathing for one reason alone,
because one day, this dream will come true.
I have no reason to live,
yet I am still here because I have a dream.
People can change.
They evolve with every dawn,
Shifting, growing, becoming new.
The ancient saying—that a leopard cannot change its spots—
Does not apply to souls made in His image.
Nor can we claim an old dog cannot learn,
For grace rewrites what once seemed fixed.
Like time itself, we press forward,
Transforming in seconds, minutes, and hours.
What once was broken can bloom again;
Yesterday’s shadows yield to tomorrow’s light.
Never give up on people.
Hold space for their becoming.
You may be joyfully surprised
By the beauty that unfolds.
All nature has a voice —
But apparently not for singing:
Mine left class ears' sorely ringing.
Some are far better at dancing —
However, not I: my fancy footwork
Made the instructor painfully sigh.
Others are better with words for writing —
My composition made the teacher cry, though
It was supposed to be a comedy —
Today I will attempt archery – Hey, where’s
Everyone running off too!?
The night you realise
you did it.
The thing that lived in your head
back when it was radio voices,
DJ this, MC that,
you in the background
playing pretend with rhythm.
Life throws chaos.
Dreams get buried.
Birthday presents collect dust.
Until one day
they don’t.
Practice turns real.
Mistakes in the dark.
Learning timing.
Learning patience.
Learning that you’re never ready.
Then the moment comes.
You catch the rhythm
and it catches you back.
And all you can say is thank you.
Because some never finish.
Some never see their work.
Some never know their worth.
But for one moment
you know.
You lived long enough
to complete the dream.
Inspite failures and life's hard knocks
You can still be recognised for high achievements in your works
Forget the young you going through the tough
Others may give up on you but don't on yourself
Dream gives support to your hope
Relate with acrobats focus on tightrope
What else could have inspired their performances?
Apart from steppings' miscalculation and its consequences
As hope inspires efforts
So efforts are stalwarts
Rigorous and may be barbarous
But struggling means you are progressing via being adventurous
Efforts result in success
As you ignore the naysayers
Gets you convalesce
And lays you to acquire being among achievers
Make dreams roots of successes
Don't stop; keep pushing
Find your purposes
Refine you abetting
Follow your dream
It knows the way
It may seems going downstream
But will never lead you astray
May all dreams come true...
And while you wait patiently
Don't take death an option brilliantly
Too promising to be addressed adieu
Oladokun Kolawole just keep me inspiring and writing
It is awesome having you around
You do not have to scatter all your light
Upon the darkened road and walk alone,
Nor leave behind the tenderness of home
To seek a distant, half-imagined sight.
The heart was not designed for endless loss,
Nor meant to burn itself to prove its flame;
It keeps its wonder quietly the same
Through seasons crossed and rivers wandered across.
What waits for you is not beyond your breath,
Nor hidden in some unreachable sky—
It lives within the courage not to die
A little more with every dream’s small death.
You need not trade your laughter for the stars,
Nor sell your peace for crowns of broken gold.
The truest treasures are not bought nor sold,
They bloom where you already are.
So walk, but keep your gentleness in hand.
So hope, but keep your roots within the ground.
What you are seeking may be waiting now
In the soft miracle you understand.
You do not have to give up everything—
Only the fear that says you never can.
For my brothers.
For my sons.
For the men standing in dark places right now
Do not quit.
Cry in your safe place.
Rage in your safe place.
Destroy only what must be destroyed, then rebuild it stronger, wiser, better than before.
Stand still for a moment.
Watch the sunrise.
Understand this simple, ancient truth: nothing in this world can stop what is meant for you when you commit to the work.
Keep moving toward your dreams.
Your goals.
Your ambitions, inspirations, and aspirations.
The best is not behind you.
It is forged through you by discipline, patience, and refusal to surrender.
And yes… even on the days it feels impossible.
I will never give up
Praying for
My Father
Every single night
Also I will go early
To bed
So I can get a good night
Sleep
I never stay up
Past my bed time
Also it is very important
That I get some sleep
If I slept only for a few ours
I would not be able to function properly
I would have bags under
My eyes
And also I would be yawning
Non stop
Long after its death where dipsomaniacs and dreamers
Have gormandized its spicy meat, its shell still breathes
Emitting a monotonous sound to wake-up babies, toddlers
Mothers, fathers, cousins and soldiers carrying wreathes.
The lambis exhales a sound of patience and resilience
It is a symbol (for Haiti) of hope, pride and perseverance
Haitians are born fighters. Haitians fall and get-up
To fight daily. Haitians, with a smile, will never give up.
The long monotonous squall of the almighty lambis
Can traverse the craters of the mountains and appease
The giant waves of the raging rivers. Listen to the sound
Listen to the bells of freedom, wit and liberty abound.

The mind will whisper,
“Give up.
It hurts.
Why keep going?
Is it even worth it?”
This is the battle
the mental war with your mind,
the physical grind with your body.
The mind, a fearful general,
screaming at your limbs to halt.
But when you seize control,
when you silence its frantic noise,
and make your heart the commander
You will have this.
You will have the fire.
You will have the peace.
You will have yourself.
Unbroken.
Remade.
May we be blessed when we find it difficult to cope
as bad as things may seem…
to never give up hope…
Because over the years we’ve learned
those times we think our suffering will never come to an end
that the miracle we are hoping for
is just around the bend.
This poem I'd inspired by the broken, lost and weary people who make all of us in this world survive. The veterans, the poor people who work the plants for little reward, and all those who struggle but keep fighting. Keep on fighting with a warriors heart eventually may our world be well.
A hundred years I battle time,
A thousand scars mark every climb.
Ten thousand wounds, yet still I stand—
The ash, the flame, the trembling hand.
Was all I bled for born to dust?
The oaths, the bonds, the shattered trust?
The gods are silent, the world is still,
But even silence bends to will.
I’ve given all—my youth, my name,
My heart to honor, soul to flame.
Yet if this breath is all that’s mine,
Then let it burn the end of time.
Let fear be drowned beneath my cry,
Let stars bear witness as I die.
For though I fall, my spirit flies—
A soldier’s truth: the brave never dies.
So strike your drums and let them hear,
The dying song that knows no fear.
For in this heart, through blood and pain,
The warrior’s fire shall rise again.
