The War Within

The mind will whisper,
“Give up.
It hurts.
Why keep going?
Is it even worth it?”

This is the battle
the mental war with your mind,
the physical grind with your body.

The mind, a fearful general,
screaming at your limbs to halt.

But when you seize control,
when you silence its frantic noise,
and make your heart the commander

You will have this.
You will have the fire.
You will have the peace.
You will have yourself.

Unbroken.
Remade.
