Ghost Rainbow

A woman rang me, she was panegyric about my poems
I smiled without mirth because I knew there would be
a question of financing, the publishing of a book I have
had high hopes for, but had been turned down too often
The woman was adamant about the manuscript
Intense Recall was art, she insisted, a mastery of art.
For one who has spent twenty years trying to become
A writer and poet can so easily fall for flattery
The woman, on the phone, said she loved me, that alone
rang warning bells, and I thought of the Fascist poet, who
lived in Italy all his life, a poet who expects to be paid
is not a real poet; I assume he, like so many other poets
had private means
The price for making me into a famous poet was not
excessive, quite reasonable, yet too much, so I have
to forgo being famous; that is ok, no one will sit down
and write lies about me

Chain Letters as Desire

Instant the command
As decisions
In labouring the fields
A civil war of family's avoiding
Yet the enactments mimic
As bond as surety
In financing burdens
One wishes not to carry
Carriage as stable
Nightingales lost fables
Ferry in twist
Smirking gentle and smits

To the good Friday of Ireland

Priced Out

How will you ever
afford yourself
the cost
beyond your means
How will you pay
the price of longing
financing
your dreams
How will you leverage
the cost of hope
interest rates
on fire
How will you love
your heart
in debt
— bankrupting desire

Whilst watching the weather on Zoom
A casket sailed by in the gloom
Now who would condone
Homes in a Flood Zone?
Is FEMA financing your doom?

Premium Member Alice Assaulted An Antelope

Amazingly, Alice assaulted an antelope
Because Bobby’s beavers became bold,
Considering cantilevered canines
Deliberately devastating donor’s doled.

Evelyn entirely excited electric eels
Failing forlornly from forward fencing,
Gaining ground gathering genuine gold
Her happiness heralded high financing.

I indicated initially incapable innocents
Justifying joyous juxtaposition jousting
Keeping kind Kenneth’s kindreds knit
Losing language like legally lost lusting.

Maybe minding manners means more
Neither newness nor novel necessary,
Occasionally opening old occlusions
Promises perfectly positioned pituitary.

Quite questionable quicky quirks
Rage rampantly removing regulations,
Summarily startling some supervisors
Touching their tempermental trepidations.

Until unusual undertakings understood
Veritable vigilantes visited volunteers,
Wildly waiting where we wandered
X-citedly X-iting X-istential X-ospheres

Yonder youthful yaks yielded...yikes!
Zebras zigzagged zestfully ziggurat-likes.

Sharing My Political Opinion
for 11-22-2019
By: Tom Wright

I find socialist thinking,
to be quite heterodox.
But they, in turn, must believe,
they’re smarter than a fox.

Each proposal would be paid for,
with a new wealth tax.
But most couldn’t care less,
just who it impacts.

They’d bring this financing,
into the government coffers.
Where they’d gobble it up,
with other hungry political scoffers.

Thinking that the government,
could much better disperse.
When they can’t agree on anything,
because both parties are adverse.

They seek to win an election,
by promising free stuff for votes.
Then stuff their own pockets,
as the national debt bloats.

Many are elected with little,
and soon become millionaires.
Thinking they’re now superior,
and voters, well, just squares.

NOT W.I.P.

Jesus of Nazareth, who was a carpenter’s son,
Hung on the cross with His Life on earth done.
The rebuilding business He continues today,
Rebuilding lives if sincerely we pray.

When He rebuilds a life no signs will you find,
Stating, " work in process, " or schedule behind.
No bad weather delays, for the Son always shines
And in God's, realm just your word is what binds.

No mortgage financing will you need to arrange,
You’ll see instead, a sudden and complete change.
No need for sweat equity, no payments to start,
But in faith believing, you just give Him your heart.

Premium Member The Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve is often confused with the U S Treasury,
so I am here to eliminate this confusion with the utmost of clarity.
The Federal Reserve Is Not the U S Treasury.
It is a private owned central bank that has driven the U S Treasury,
into perpetual bankruptcy.
Who funds the U S Treasury?
The taxpayer, you and me.
We also fund the Federal Reserve weekly.
Federal withholding from our paycheck goes to the Federal Reserve directly,
to bail out governments' financing inefficiencies.
The CEOs and their cronies at the Federal Reserve,
are all enjoying a super rich lifestyle they do not deserve,
provided by the blood, sweat and tears from all of our labors.

Fantastic Funnymoon

How desperately dull my dreary life.
I wonder will I ever woo a wife.
Working wearily the whole day,
how can I hope to find a way?

I'll book a break before long.
Learn to lilt a lovely song.
Dedicate myself to dancing.
Soon, she'll come along.

I'll sweetly sweep her off her feet.
Make out we were meant to meet.
Kneel upon one knee and say.
Honey, how about our happy day?

We'll wed on Wednesday after next.
I'll book a boarding that's the best.
We'll sail the seas and spend our savings
financing a funnymoon forming babies.

Beautifully Ignorant

sometimes I ponder our existence
are we just performing a play?
life's such a strange experience
and plenty crazy, I must say
      filled with insignificant tasks
      financing mediocre goals
      everyone wearing different masks
in an effort to hide our souls
each of us searches for meaning
with a different definition of essential
wondering what makes up our inner being
and what is genuinely vital
maybe we're not meant to know the answer
      just theories insane and bountiful
since each life has a unique flavor
      making our ignorance beautiful

Peace, South Sudan

This is a plea piece for peace,
Peace for beloved south Sudan,
War against each other must cease,
That said and done,
Will put off humanitarian crisis,
My lines on this poem dancing,
to the rhythm of togetherness on a daily basis,
Interested parties has to stop financing,
Acts of animosity, atrocity
First World countries need to intervene,
Thousand are becoming victims of negative ethnicity,
Bring to an end war that's what I mean.

The S-U-C-K-I-N-G Song

Romney & Obama phoning Tel Aviv,
s-
u-
c-
k-
i-
n-
g!!

I. first comes Iron Dome.
($70 million dollars MORE of
US taxpayers money going straight
into Israel’s military defense)

II. then comes Jerusalem.
(Romney, down on his knees with
Netanyahu in his mouth, proclaims that
Jerusalem IS in fact the capital of
Israel, even though the rest of the world
is not in agreement concerning this
fact---for East Jerusalem is PALESTINIAN
TERRITORY which is currently occupied
the same military which Obama has just
given $70 million MORE dollars to)

III. then comes the nukes whenever we need to
use em’.
(for be it the empire or the empire’s lil’ whiny
brother, with both of us holding our might over
the head of Iran (both the US & Israel having a
nuclear arsenal), it’s only a matter of time before
the whole of us all goes poof!)

strangling Iran with sanctions!
supporting rebellion in the middle east!
&
our tax dollars financing the whole damn thing.

Microwaving Daydreams

Cooking my baked beans
Microwaving daydreams
Financing future, slipping credit schemes
Federal imperial medals- the real deal
All in a bite sized, one time only
All in nicely packages holiday embrace

Cooking my daydreams
Microwaving circuitry
Its time for a megatape rewind
Its about time for an unscripted recline
To sit in armchairs and gather dust
Scraping these walls for elbow and rust

Just cooking my baked beans
Microwaving daydreams
Get the toxicology report
Get the electrojet sanity retort
Shopoholics anonymous consuming floorboards
Get them back in a behaving round-up sort

Cause I'm cooking
A daytripper redundancy
Microwaving skeletal seams
Storing appetite for later dreams

Financing the Change

Sip this description
Flipping indigenous misfits,
Imprints or footprints in sound

The valley out of bounds
Where real world blues
Are castigated in spades
Dark hazes rearrange the page
Pressing
Prime poetry always
Lifted in a miraculous tumble

While battling limbs plunder
Im just herculean on this mystery fit
Having no eye for embellishment
making answers split
And financing the change
