Enough For Now, Enough Forever

Enough, he said with voice pitched low
Enough for now, he whispered slow
And curled in upon himself
Having nothing left to show

Knowing no one and nonself

Enough, he cried though no one heeded
Enough for now, as he retreated
And left another piece behind
Having no faith to be intreated

Perceiving his own broken mind

Enough, he proclaimed with a tremor

I paint on the blue-black arms of blank skies,
with pirouetting promises in midnight eyes,
no longer impatient for the dawning of hues~
manipulating the ache between ink and muse.

I breathe in silence, wrap my soul in rhyme-less forms,
to taste topaz tears

Deserved As Demanded

Not Faithless But Wondrously Thankful

This is the version of my perspective as a Believer vis-a-vis Black Country Communion Song's "Faithless"

Victorious heart praises the Lord as Source 
Midst thanksgiving for blessings everyday
Toward accomplishment along work force
Brought by blest compassion and mercy’s ray.

Vigilant soul worships with joyous glow
Midst gratitude for faith-fortitude’s brace
Toward wondrous service by blessings’ flow
Marked by redemption upon hope

Faithless Feelings

It didn’t happen at the right time
I wasn’t his – he wasn’t mine
But, despite the dangerous passion
Fires ignited and we felt the longing
For the dance, - taking a chance
Uncertain and unsure, burdened 
With shame, guilt and humiliation
All the feelings that come from carrying
A torch for someone whose heart
Isn’t vacant, whose love is already taken

Should we have faith in a faithless quest 
And put sheer foolishness to test 

That the coconut holds some water
Makes not ignorance call it a river

The snail knows wise to travel with shell
Or lives not at all to someday tell

O' governing gavel
See me upon my knees
Prepared to grovel

For it was peace I sought
But chaos I wrought

Lively words on tiptoes left,
Vanishing in the night.
In vain have I sought to find them,
Those precious prodigal words.

Did they slip away like mice
Through temples worn out by age?
Like jocks who rode the bench too long,
Have they quit for lack of play?

Or have they found me faithless,
Lusting after phrases
And daisy chains of impish words,
And in anger

Faithless Vision

And what
You ask
I see 
Its all
These 
Prisons
Turned past
Power to
Feed and clothe
The hungry lost

Faithless

I waited for the ray of light
As would a silkworm for the cocoon to break
For your warmth would break into my mould
And set me free as would a butterfly
But the light never came because night was too long
The cocoon withered and the silkworm died
So it was with my stony heart
That doubted God
And fell apart.
