Some people say revenge is sweet,
but its true source is from beneath.
The cycle of violence it spawns,
new horrors breed as each day dawns.
When wrong is done, justice demands,
wrongdoers, for trial must stand.
After the facts are exposed,
a just sentence must be imposed.
An eye for an eye was first meant
Ongoing blood feuds to prevent.
“Don’t take revenge,” is what God says
“Vengeance is mine, I will repay.”
When you are wronged, don’t start a fight,
because two wrongs never make a right.
Vow to repay evil with good
Follow God’s way, live as you should.
One day soon, when sin its course has run
God will judge all for what they have done.
When all wrongs are brought into view,
each one will receive their just due.
The Twin Tower fell
A dastardly crime
A fact not diminished
By the passage of time.
The perpetrators were Saudis,
But Saudi Arabia supplied oil
A comfortable relationship
The West didn’t want to spoil.
They had to do,something,
That was quickly understood,
So they invaded Afghanistan
Just because they could.
After twenty years of chaos
The West withdrew
And the rule of the Taliban
Began again anew
Leaving a battered country
As only invasion can.
Osama Bin laden and crew
Had been found in Pakistan.
There’s a bright end to this story
Realtions with Saudi didn’t spoil
And so to this very day we
Can till rely on their oil.
There’s a Twin Tower Memorial
Bearing each victim’s name:
Sadly over in Afghanistan
They’ve not done the same.
Arms stretched wide, I welcome none
I look to no one for I am lost
And cannot obtain the soul in which you so strongly desire from myself
I am pitying
Yet all knowing to I
So how can I still remain as clueless as the beginning of time
Deny thy name, and come forth with your rage;
You can unshackle these sins that are lodged so deeply in my being
Instead
You choose to tease me with such contempt, that I fall deeper into limbo
I am stuck in a never ending slumber
When shall this nightmare cease to be so,
Of unworthiness so worthy of being within me?
Thou are retched, and thou are heartless
Yet thou are still clueless as ever. Much like myself.
I pray to the all knowing god, for I truly know nothing
But you find reason to commend me in this broken age.
An eye for an eye blinds the entire world.
By this action one negates the whole truth;
And so creates a boomerang unfurled.
With bitter hate and villainous uncouth,
There is fallacy that might is right, thus
By this action one negates the whole truth.
With sordid haste, being so atrocious,
The world’s play-book flutters with rage, selfish;
There is fallacy that might is right, thus.
By this token, without any blemish,
An eye for an eye may seem justified;
The world’s play-book flutters with rage, selfish.
While millions of people are petrified,
Flailing hopes and dreams only fantasy
An eye for an eye may seem justified.
All lives matter in eyes of Gandhiji;
An eye for an eye blinds the entire world.
Flailing hopes and dreams only fantasy;
And so creates a boomerang unfurled.
Dear sweet child,
So full of anger and remorse,
Terrors running wild,
Be weary of this troubled course,
An eye for an eye,
Seems understandably justified,
A comforting lie,
When you live every day terrified,
Embrace your heart,
Break those cold rusty chains,
Time to make a new start,
And cherish the warmth that remains.
-there was something in your eyes.
a light.
a darkness.
a vaccum.
it shook me.
yet i did not yield.
ashes and dust.
Your name became
my season. now
my season has changed.
ashes and dust.
i tapped into
the blackest black.
that others fail to see.
this that i live for is killing me.
ashes and dust.
this is what i wanted.
this is what i want.
like a serpent you strike
defending your own.
leaving me for dead.
this is what i wanted.
this is what i want.
ashes and dust.

Do you believe in an eye for an eye?
Better use your mind
With determination and effort applied
It's in your best interest to try
Because time flies
Opportunities drawing nigh, just may pass you by
Involving wins, losses and ties
In the end what you happened to find
Could've led to suprise
And speculation towards opposing sides
Respect to animals and human kind
We all get caught in a bind
And occasionally need to unwind
While aiming to thrive
As we survive
Along for the ride
Worldwide
Pushing through the daily grind
We all take dives
So continue to rise
And climb
Ever so high
Above terrain waterlogged or bone dry
Day and night
Appreciate life
Before after and during quite the plight
Some just want to pry
And spy
Living one big lie
Does no good to deny
Regardless of if you think you're being sly
Remains covered up with lye
Instead of lime
From here to way beyond Shanghai
Animals, sattelites and spacecrafts fly among the sky

You really don't deserve to breathe this air, you really don't deserve to look at me.
He knew the front door, he knew the stair that creaked.
He knew now how she did it
He knew now of her deeds.
Thinking of them gone forever
The burning ate away his soul
He knew he had to end it
But one thing was left before he'd go
She'd never want him to do this
Never, not even for the twins
But his life was already over
So what difference would this make to things?
He stood watching her sleep
In the dark he watched her dream
Then he shone the torch at her
She didn't see a thing
No words were spoken to her
She asked what did he want
She heard him cock the lever
Went quiet and begged him to relent
He moved the torch light from her
She was transfixed on it as it went away
He turned the torch light on himself
So she could see her reapers face
He smiled to her for a second
The bangs cracked the tension in the air
The light hit the floor
As blood flowed together
Down the wooden stair.
Eye for an eye : There is no justice greater than love
Your son was a lowlife hooligan.
Last year he murdered my son.
When it came to having the ability to show mercy, your son sure did lack it.
He shot my son right between the eyes because of his expensive jacket.
My boy gave him the jacket but he killed him anyway.
When I identified my son's body, your son had to pay.
Your son wanted to prove to his gang members that he was big and bad.
He shot my son in cold blood and returning the favor made me feel glad.
Your son was arrested but a bleeding heart judge let him out on bail.
A few hours later your son became the victim of a 44 Magnum Shell.
I killed him the same exact way that he killed my son, a bullet right between the eyes.
I didn't realize that a man could get so much pleasure by seeing another person die.
It was an eye for an eye, I pulled my gun on him and it felt so good to shoot.
But your son's death isn't good enough for me, I hope he fries in Hell to boot.
(This is a fictional poem)
Is this my moment of clarity or another illusion
It's hard to fight a battle when it feels like you keep losing
I question would it be best if I had a short fuse or try to just defuse this
Sometimes it's useless and with knowing that, some choose to abuse this
An eye for an eye, it's hard to tell if we are even on the same side anymore
the rumors are true when it rains it pours
But that's what happens when you keep knocking on the wrong door
I can only speak for self and the way I felt
It's an eye for an eye, I never did switch sides
but this is what happens when the worst out the best people collide
There once was a couple of brats
who engaged in continuous spats.
The result was a tie
when each scratched out an eye -
an old-Biblical tit for a tat!
The brats awoke bleeding and weak
when, half-seeing the havoc they’d wreaked,
they discarded their clothes,
their behinds to expose -
a new-Biblical turning of cheek!
Six years ago, I perjured myself at a murder trial.
Now I realize what I did was both evil and vile.
My poor sister was the person who was killed.
When I testified, the defendant's fate was sealed.
I was so sure that he was guilty, that's why I lied.
The man was sentenced to death after he was tried.
I wanted that man to die ever since he was placed under arrest.
But two months ago, another man came forward and confessed.
That man went to the gas chamber because I said that I saw him kill my sister.
I was consumed by pain and anger and I really missed her.
I really did wrong when I took the stand.
My lie caused the death of an innocent man.
I confessed that I perjured myself and now I'm in jail.
I feel so much pain and remorse and now I live in hell.
I felt that it was an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
Justice would've prevailed if I had simply told the truth.
(THIS IS A FICTIONAL POEM.)
Who adores an ancient lore chore
And loves to see gore and wage war
Yet sore pouring pain?
This stems from an old brain
A story of man’s evil core
