Premium Member Always Forgive Your Enemies

To arms! Many arms were waving, wildly flailing in the air
Incensed as if there'd been bowling pins missed for a spare
Screaming and ranting about things that didn't seem fair
Oh puhlease! As if it matters or as if anyone gives a care

If the truth were to be told, then everyone should confess
and state unequivocally that they couldn't give a fig less
Nothing written or done should be the cause of distress
when so many things in La La Land are already such a mess

"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much,"
words of Oscar Wilde, is he suggesting using a gentle touch?
No, just an offering to those who require the use of a crutch
the feathered friends who flock together, flying in their clutch

The high tides of bitterness continue to crash upon the shore
With a forgiving nature and long ago, I stopped keeping score
That should've stifled the animosity, but there's always more
Their wrongs aren't worth a fight to make them right...candor

Betrayal

The one I would've taken a bullet for
Was the one behind the trigger

But here's the thing about betrayal
It never comes from your enemies

And what's even sadder is
I don't blame you for hurting me
I blame myself for thinking you wouldn't

I trusted you
But I know your words and promises meant nothing
Because your actions spoke the truth

I told you what hurts me the most...

And you did it perfectly

Come on

He walks with me
His stance strongly weak
Come on he yells
He reaches out to me
Today I hate him

He looks at me
A look so sweet it's bitter
Come on he says
His smile seems so familiar
Today I am lost

He laughs
His eyes so alluringly green
Come on he whispers
His head nods to go
Today I fell in love

relatives should be closest friends

Kingdom Psalms: a remedy for my enemies

On my knees, I glorify the Lord
He is the lifter of our head
We can go to sleep because of what He said!

In the midst of our enemies
The Lord Jesus will reign
The Word of the Lord is a Sword
God will only tolerate so much and
Then He will Act and Perform His Word

Psalm three for my enemies
A remedy for life when they try to harm us

We praise God for His mercy and
We thank Him for His love and
When we face our enemies we thank God for Psalm Three

Psalm three for my enemies
A remedy for life when they try to harm us

Premium Member Frenemies I have a Few

We hate each other's point of view.
We beg to differ to avoid a blew.
We reach across the deep chasm divide,
To sit for a time on the other side.

Yet we are friends, despite all this,
Content to pretend that ignorance is bliss.
As we set our differences aside,
Hold space to hear and let our feud slide.

We enjoy this game we jointly play,
Where trust and doubt have their way.
We frenemies are both foe and friend
With an ironic paradox that will never end.

So, let's drink to ties that bind
Us together, twisted, and intertwined.
As friend and enemy threads over-sewn
To interlock our relationship set in stone.

Premium Member Political Enemies

The enemies of your enemies
In politics are your political friends
The friends of your enemies
Are definitely not your friends
Politics get dirtier everyday
These days, lots of people are being hurt
Politics get nastier everyday
Mad or crazy politicians have no heart
They have respect for nobody
And are concerned solely about money
Power and privilege. They will kill to win
And they will maim to be elected and reelected
Some politicians don't have thick skin
They're ready to participate in illegal raid
Just so they can win at any possible cost
The friends of your enemies need not post
Nothing because they avenge, and backstab
They cannot move forward but want to go back
To their old ways of theft, cheat and corruption
Be protective of the ballots at the next election.

Premium Member Love Your Enemies

All gods, each god-man and god-woman, have preached love on earth.
But who, except Jesus, has taught love for the enemy?
Do good to those who do good—this we've learned from our birth.
Love, He said, and do good to your enemy pleasantly.

Filled with divine love, can you bless the one who hates you?
Can you pray for the one who ill-treats you, just as a saint?
To the one who slaps your cheek, can you show the other too?
If one needs your coat, will you give your shirt too, with no plaint?

I love you. You love me. Why is someone else between us?
What's the uniqueness of this? Dicks and Harries do this.
I'm good to you. You are good to me. What's in it, complex?
Love your enemies, Jesus says, this, indeed, is true bliss.

Nishkamakarmaphalyaoga! Do your duties with love.
Serve everyone selflessly; the prize will be from above.

Premium Member Friends and Enemies

spring sun warms her bones
the wait through winter was long
alone and lonely
now tulip and daffodil
come visit for a season

time passes quickly
when walking with sunny friends
on flowered pathways
too soon the long cold dark days
of winter will snuff the sun

Premium Member A Message To My Enemies

Good wishes to my enemies, unfortunately there are a few
Those terrorists that are enemies, of both- me and you
I wish you all an ever-lasting life, and bid you all fare well
And hope to God you live to eternity...
In that place best known as hell

Premium Member Dear Respectable Enemies

Generous praises offered by friends might mislead sometimes.
Confusing the core of friendship is beyond their thought list.
It's when, like a broken gong, the church bell faultily chimes.
Even the age-old concept of Angelus gets a twist.

The lake's surface remains dull until a pebble troubles
And evokes ripples that awaken awareness within.
My lethargic potential in snug zones found no ruffles.
Till your suns and showers of censures manured me to win

As gems between coal, within your curses, blessings, I find
Each stone you throw at me is my stepping stone to success.
In your pessimism, my possibilities are enshrined.
With the hurdle poles you plant, I row my boat and progress.

Within the axis of existence, each foe is a friend.
As the benefaction he or she bestows has no end

Premium Member Wishing enemies well

Day and night we toiled but some aims were foiled
by souls who opposed us, thwarting our goal
but we wished all well, since our heart’s unsoiled
and detractors merely play their life role.

Made in His image, we are living light,
yet on earth we burn, since we’re here to learn,
so be it boon or blight, it is alright,
for when we forgive, God’s grace we so earn.

Reptiles in human form create a storm
but in timeless time, they will heed love’s chime,
so we send them pulsations of joy warm,
that divine entwined, they heavenward climb.

Seeds of love sowed, repays our soul’s debts owed,
thus breath by breath bliss in heart is endowed.
