Premium MemberAs Winter Softly Creeps

“The snow did not even whisper its way to earth, but seemed to salt the night with silence.” — Dean Koontz

Inhaling quietude, I watch
glistening pearls swirling in twilight’s sky.
The silence deepens as winter softly creeps
       into the night
beneath a canopy of sparkling stars
and the glow of a full pearlescent moon.

I fall into slumberland, knowing when I wake,
the gray barrenness of the land shall be effaced -
replaced by a velvet quilt of white
which winter so pristinely has laid down.

Premium MemberMisguided Power

In the hollows of power’s grip,
where shadows twist the heart’s cry,
there—mights build thrones on backs bent,
where abuse wears the mask of guidance,
control, a cloak woven with the thread of fear.
Power thrives in silence, feeding on the unspoken.

Manipulation, subtle as the serpent’s whisper,
curls around dreams, tightening,
threats drip, venomous, eroding hope,
indifference, a cold moon, shuns the warmth
of a shared sun, selfishness seizes, tight-fisted,
squelching the laughter of the young, the joy of the old.

The beauty of a soul, effaced,
a canvas scrubbed too raw,
bearing the brutal strokes of unkindness—
yet, beneath this, a pulse, a flicker:
resilience, a defiance against the night,
rising, always rising, despite the crush of the dark.

Love Sick Heavenly Demon

100,000 years of nirvana
Experiencing the pain and sorrow in the land of mortals
Breaking the divine law.
Embracing the Empyrian heart
Why care so much on what is divine or mortal?
Dancing through the dreaming world of flowers

If the song is not to taste
and effaced the joy of the moonlit palace.
Simply change the sound of the magick

Anger and grief are hard to dissipate
Turning to the rivers, mountains and lakes
Smiling in the love sick trials of taiyin
How to find the eternal heart of Compassion?

A demon or an immortal?
how often can they be consumed
in the trials of the mortal heart song

Grieving with the sky
The Flowers bloom on the moonlit lake
And all around blood drips down
Where can we meet again?
This broken heart the heavens are jealous of.

The jade Emperors dream

The nine tribulations have been effaced
Life and death, I accept with grace.
One moment flies by in a hundred years
A second thought to missing the mortal trials.
The wishes of thousands falling on deaf ears.
Oh what it must be like to be the innocent in the dream lit world of the mortal sovereignty.
Instead of dealing with the world crushing weights of the 9 heavens and 188 hells.
How nice it must be to be a mortal filled with wonder.
Unlike my ageless cold immortal husk,
withering away in the cold heavens.

Sea Change

Its quest is over.
Life's. Wholesome-faced.
At this drop off point, a world's
Sea-washed. Effaced.

Shackled by which search, a slave's
Profitless, for coin
Proved it, toward more and more
Becoming joy-rich
Now breathing freer, will ditch
What for too long chafed
Of self deceit, to the winds.
Sharpest thought-cleansing

Cage

my brain has its own life,
its own conversations,
never-ending circumlocutions

this confabulation of memory
leaves me unsure of
the reality of my thoughts

is this a chemical misstep,
a minuscule of glutamate
misplaced or missing

or is it a mistake in my
biological majuscules,
an A or a G gone awry,
leaving mental havoc in its wake

or perhaps just a wiring mishap,
a failing to bridge synapses to
the branched flourishes of dendrites,
leaving me thirsty for truth,
a truth now conflated with errata

can the brain heal itself,
restore effaced letters
to historiated initials
or will it descend into darkness,
gradually ceasing its conversations,
forgetting all spelling,
and become a silent grey cage

Premium MemberEach Passing Cloud

Each Passing Cloud

           Each passing cloud carries melancholy
of morose mind now venturing your sky.
No matter your mood be sad or jolly,
Feel my ardent ardor and leave a sigh.

Once my love you eagerly embellished.
         Each passing cloud carries melancholy
of my mangled mind now shattered, tarnished.
Leave a sigh for my heart, humble - holy.

My heart once showered by your love fully,
now effaced by you , my rue soaring high.
        Each passing cloud carries melancholy
of splintered heart just yearning for your sigh.

Once on vibrant passion floating in dream.
My blood bubbled by your crave thoroughly.
Now amour in clamour, desires in scream.
        Each passing cloud carries melancholy.

Premium MemberA Wonderland At Dawn

I see the flakes come tumbling from pale sky.
Grey barren earth below has been effaced.
The loveliness nobody can deny.
With dazzling snow this wonderland is graced.

In morning’s sheen, the frosted limbs of trees
are glittering, and all the land’s pristine.
I run outside and feel chill winter’s breeze
and breathe in air that now is crisp and clean.

Deep snow lies glistening upon my lawn.
Long icicles are hanging down like spears.
Vanished are the streets in the still of dawn,
but not for long! A snowplow soon appears.

Canticles of Necropolis

From silken mists scarred stones give tongue
To canticles raised to twilit drear,
Of frolicked hours when seasons were young,
And Promise chastised every fear.
Once brightly smiled upon our days
The kindly sun of Life's beauteous womb,
The reaching hearts, our breathless gaze
Died not nor sleeps within this tomb,
But thunders soft from lips long stilled
No lonely dirge, nor dour 'plaint,
For 'neath these cold mounds Love's not stilled,
Nor slumbers lame with voiceless throat,
It whispers yet though rude encased,
E'en past Death's flowered moat
Too strong a song to be effaced...

Premium MemberFollow the Fire

Take me to the summit muse and create
in me, a fervor that no one can erase
Let me make a crucible of gold and date
what is everlasting and cannot be effaced

Spread the fire of passion across my heart
use me like you would a feather to the wind
immerse me in idea gently do your part
we are two binaries strongly twinned

Lead me to the poems with a gentle hand
allow it to be so for my soul must be free
I have seen it written in the Golden sand
by the hand of God, who has created me

Take me to the fire with a steady love
I know your mine, cuz you fit me like a glove.

Premium MemberA Welcome Tranquil Scene

I breathe in quietude and face a welcome tranquil scene.
A beautiful secluded place
greets my eyes with iridescent sheen
beneath a wintry sky serene.

Here along this country lane, diamond flecks have interlaced
and softly fallen on terrain.
The dull and barren land has been effaced;
by dazzling snow my world is graced.

The air is fresh and crisp and clean. Enchantment rules the day!
Winter, when you are pristine
and when grey clouds have fled away. . .
I welcome you to stay.

Poet Bird Poet

What is a dead bird?
     a verse without wings that
     doesn't fly anymore...
     What is a living poet?
      a winged bird that poetizes
      life..,
      And when a poet dies?
      a complete poem effaced
      from the world...

Worn

Consider yourself on the tip of my tongue
Daring to be told and toxic to taste
To swallow the words and account as waste
Would injure my mouth until it grew numb
Notice me residing under your thumb
Violently push and crush me into paste
Scrape the remains to colour me effaced
Thriving under fingernails among scum

I mill with edges to form an indent
And fashion your flesh so I can sprawl
Dismiss me when your pressed palms repent
In spite of deep seeping cuts that I crawl
Richly I’ll recall this as time well spent
To be caressing your bare skin at all

The Painting On the Wall

The painting,
            on the wall
           from splendorous art
            almost effaced..
           Due so much
           bitterness totally
           yellowed....
           from fright into
           stupefaction
             almost lost
           all colors...
           But it wasn't whitening,
           it was fading
           of pain...!
