Confession of Past Anxieties

Thou were right to leave my anxious side,
My soul within a storm of doubt did hide,
I crave thy proof of love with a jealous hand,
And in that quest, all vestiges of intimacy died.

I was intimidated by thoughts I could not tame,
Demanding shows of passion,stoking flames
But offering no warmth in my heart,
Stalked by fear,I only offered the shame.

Angry when my wants were not fulfilled,
My inner most by gnawing worry chilled;
Forgive the youth who knew not how to love,
Whose selfish needs thy gentle spirit killed.

Dumped, by app

We'd played each other on the
song guessing app for
six years, ever since we were matched up
when I visited Iceland in 2016; we
both liked Classic Rock and stuck to
70s playlists

For a few weeks one year (2022) I was
"out of sorts" and didn't log in; when
I next opened the app
I saw Haraldur had terminated our six-year
rivalry

I mean, I led him by 540 to 86 games,
he was a bit slow,
but I valued our unspoken international alliance

It stung for a while but my
main concern was that my wife,
whenever I played the game,
always asked me how 'your friend Olaf' was doing

And now I just can't admit that he's
no longer my friend

I am 55 years old

Dumped

At the city dump discarded parts of the once needed
will forever speak to our lack of self-awareness

A turned over land is built on artifacts
the future will have no name for

Plastic trees will thrive between disposable bones
We will be put away beneath our own food mountains

The land will-fill it will remember nothing gotten
or worshiped at that sacred site we once knew as Walmart

Premium Member Was Christmas Tree Dumped Or Placed

Was the Christmas tree left?
Dumped? Or gently placed?
No one knew, for elves are sneaky.
They wanted the animals to wonder.

The owl flew down for a closer look.
The deer and the fox blinked at each other.
Could they maintain a civil air?
The rabbit hopped over to declare “placed”.

Raccoon kept silent, looking at the pretty decorations.
If they needed to un-decorate it, he would be their pigeon.
The elves giggled, reading the animals’ thoughts.
“Get back up here!” Santa declared over their walkie-talkie.

Premium Member We Got Dumped On Today

Seems like we got dumped on today
Between 20 and 30 cm forecasters say
Had it easy so far
Blessed our lucky stars
Welcome to spring bright sun every day

Dumped Games

Your mind games, are my gains, I sense when you play
your blind games, too mind change, Invent what you say
your mind aims, at my claims, too think the same way,
so I'm kind, as I find, we think just the same
and your game, is my gain, you're happy again

but your games, for your gains, I don't like the same,
think my brain, a blind brain, you take without shame,
I don't say, what I see, wait too see what you take,
and you take, all you take, thinking I don't see your game,
and I'm left, through your theft, without much remains
cus you take, and you take, without a thought in your brain,
do I trust, that you just, want the best for me aye
when I'm blind, it's your kind, cheat if you get away
In my hate, I don't wait, you're dumped, good day

Dumped

The angry young man was dump
When he stole his girl friend's red pumps
He struted and swagged
Realized he's been tagged
As a cross dresser and a lame chump

Dumped Sound

Opted to be dumped
Sound
Lending both ears
To lives
To be in sound

Premium Member She Dumped the Plumber

There was an accomplished agile plumber,
he could screw nut in bolt in deep slumber.
Wife felt his spanner placed right,
drove her sleep away each night.
She dumped him, reason he didn’t remember.

Dumped

Everyone kept asking, "who was she? "
I said, " The one who kept ignoring me"

Each day without you seemed so long
I never understood what I did wrong

Then later I saw you with another boy
Never would I have guessed I would be treated as a toy

Years later I see you sitting in a bar
You would never understand how deep you left a scar.

On My Ex-Nothing Birthday My Next-Nothing Dumped Me

On my ex-nothing birthday
my next-nothing dumped me

Oh vicious coincidences!

I know not which I am more tired of
exes or nothings
(or ice holes?)
or coincidences
or things
or
or

just all together

Premium Member Getting Dumped

My ex broke my heart and left me a Dear John note.
Surprisingly I took it very well and just let her go,
after I tied that note to a brick and threw it through her window.

Dumped Two Point One

once, you promised me everything
my heart smiles with the love you bring
the song of love we used to sing
twice you tried, thrice i got nothing

i know we're not Barbie and Ken
promises made to be broken
and hearts given, these hearts taken
these hearts taken to be broken

we sail for a thousand reasons
as we answer many questions
we go to different directions
and then we take different actions

Premium Member My Whiskey Was Dumped Into the Well

It’s a smooth and tasty way to get high.
Try my distillation of mash made from corn and rye.
I make it from my family’s secret recipe.
The only one who knows about it is me.
The stuff comes out of my trusty hidden still.
I have it standing in the woods on top of the hill.
My woman did something that made me mad as hell.
She took the last batch I made, and dumped it into the well.

Soon, gathered around the well was a big crowd.
My neighbors were laughing and singing out loud.
There were old folks and little children staggering along the lane.
It did not seem like any of them was feeling pain.
Nobody else in the vicinity readily understood
why the water in the well was tasting so good.

Dumped Baby

One day, one of our daily papers carried a story about a teenage girl who
dumped a baby;after carrying the baby for nine months in her womb.
And nowadays,it is common for teenagers to throw their babies in pit latrines,
 drainage,and rubbish sites;
Why acting in such a manner when barren women are cying for babies and
 orphanages are around us?
