Premium Member Coming Down to Earth Grounded

I see a clearing
It's big enough to land in
The grass is short
No rocks or bumps
It's all clear for landing

My heart beats in panic
Tears of sweat run down my face
Fear grips my body
In expectant embrace

The engine splutters and coughs
Bangs erupt from broken wings
I hear my own screams

The smoke is acrid in flared nostrils
My flesh burning, stinks

Ah! I savour a touchdown, touche!

Premium Member Down To Earth Dude

Just a down to earth dude, nothing special
Live a simple uncomplicated existence
It's how it's been for eighty-eight years
Changing now would be inconsistent

We are who we are after many long years
Of living, observing, and choosing
The path that seems like the right one to us
Is the one that's the least confusing

Some are comfortable with strife in their life
It seems to give them reason for being
Always liked mine to be real smooth sailing
With a simple devil-may-care feeling

Don't know how many of you nice people
Have a similar approach to living
Didn't have a choice it was chosen for me
But I certainly don't have any misgivings

Premium Member Be Down To Earth

When time makes you fall on earth,
Don't shriek.
When fortune takes you to peak,
Be down to earth.

Premium Member Be Down To Earth They Told Him

Be down to earth, they told him, more real, more true.
Meaning more like them, the status quo, the easily disturbed mob.
But he could not be, for he had a loving heart, and did not understand
Their fascination with guns, bullets, or the thrill of the kill.

He was a rabbit, a deer, a creature of the wild who loved daisies.
They tried their best to get him into a flannel shirt, and camo gear.
He ran off, and hid in the forest. The animals sheltered him at night.
We are glad you came to us, they said. We have been waiting for you.

How much more down to earth could he be? Mother said to his father.
Living his truth, going barefoot in the summers, studying the wind.
He is totally true to himself he is more real than you could ever see.
Her husband was embarrassed, figuring it out at last.
He went off on foot, to retrieve his son.

Down To Earth

My legacy as a person is I want people to say I was real down to earth.
A rare breed, a true one of a kind.

I want to be the exception to humanity
The opposite of ego and vanity
I want to be that person who you feel at ease with.

I want my character traits to resemble Christ:
Someone who was kind, loyal, trustworthy, disciplined, respectful, humble, and honest.

The person you can sit and vent to, the person who will give you money when you're in need, a person who will go out of his way to make sure you are ok.
That's the kind of person I want to be remembered for.

For Christ Came Down To Earth For Me

Remember what the prophets said,
Messiah would raise up the dead.
There 's life beyond what we can see,
For Christ came down to earth for me.

What faith, indeed, did Mary show,
Through every high and every low.
The Son of God upon a tree,
For Christ came down to earth for me.

When Satan tempts me day and night,
I must still try to do what's right.
Away from God, may I not flee,
For Christ came down to earth for me.

Where there is love, may joy abound,
Where there is hope, may you be found.
So I will ever pray to thee,
For Christ came down to earth for me.

Being,-Getting Down To Earth

Earth is a prop, a stage,
a place to grow-(your craft)?
nourishing, protecting, acting
like a sentient being.
It's shows-Showing in poetic artistry,
that giving a little soul to a speck of dust is a projective, directive of starshine's collective.
To be as a rock- of the divine.
A wholesome, natural, ground, devoted Tabernacle or home-dwelling, grounded
to the notion that circum-navigation is injected into your lines.
In the part you are showing,
to a full house.
Motivation? Cohesion, seasoned
light, action, time!

Premium Member Small Worth Humanity Calls Sinful Angels Falls Down To Earth--

All people brave and small;
Before the life of their worth;
Crashes life's burdens calls;
Duty bound humanity bursts;
Every angel that sins have plucked wings they fall;
Foreverness spent eternity on earth as demons then land in hell's halls;

Premium Member Down To Earth Type Elf

When you get right down to it
That's exactly where I'll be
A truly down to earth kinda elf
Pretence is not for me

Others try to show a bravado
They think it's what ladies like
It's very true some of 'em do
But more ladies like the tender type

When a man cries, the girlies swoon
Cuddle you to make you better
The mother instinct is surely at work
Right on down to the letter

It isn't difficult, should come naturally
Just gotta try being yourself
Girlies aren't looking for a hero type
Just a down to earth type elf

So now you know how to score
A big hit with all the dear ladies
Just be yourself, stop trying so hard
You'll find the one, no maybes

Down To Earth

The mountains, the plains, the seas
where man been, barely there’s ease,
One that time can never mar
he is wallowing in war;
There is nature to nurture
in this God’s glorious earth
and look with hope to future
whence we had been since our birth.

Down to earth is all I can be
Pretentiousness is very foreign to me
Simple's a good word
Describes this old turd
By my writings, I'm sure you'll agree!!!
