I Can Save You

Blinded by the burning sun
Mouths parched and without hope
Miles of endless desert sand
It's way too much, I cannot cope
The Lord whispered from across the dunes
Be steady my child, don't dismay
I can save you just like that
So you won't lose your way

Compare Thee To A Summer's day

Compare thee to a summer’s day?

No, my dear, you are a goddess of dismay.

You are the bane of my heart, for you own it completely.

You control my mind without a single effort, and for that you are my enemy.

Thou art lovely and temperate?

No, you are imperfect and cold as Mount Everest.

You freeze my heart with ignorance,

And light it once more with a start.

You are not a summer’s day.

You are a snowstorm that comes in spite of the sunlight of May.

You are the rain that plagues those who have no roof to under stay.

You are the disease that kills and spirits souls away.

Compare thee to a summer’s day?

No, it’s impossible.

There is no way.

Premium Member Once upon a day

Once upon a day
my skies grew threatening, grey.
My life began to crash in a
fractured dismay..
Once upon a night,
another's mind took plight,
so filled with delusion and paranoia's flight..
Once upon weeks after professional help
I'd seek, only to witness the situation grow more bleak.
Once following years after living days in fear,
I took my broken heart, left with only my tears.
Once upon a life, wounded by a knife.
Now I live alone with out uncertainty and strife.

Marie planned a fabulous holiday
                   Looked forward to once-in-a-lifetime stay,
                                  Flashy bikinis in van.
She must get a lovely tan...
Left poor hubby sulking in great dismay!

Premium Member For Love Is What the Angels Call Dismay

for love is what the angels call dismay
knowing not the longings of the heart
nor can they comprehend that endless day
on which these quite strange feelings had their start

for men, it seems, these feeling try to hide
beneath the stony face of stoic’s lie
such tenderness, such joy, they can’t abide
they let love drift away in lonely sigh

they cannot stoop and pick such lovely blooms
remove them from the beauty of their place
their empty hearts but the distant tombs
of loves no other lovers can replace

they cannot squander this in feigned display
for love is what the angels call dismay

Rainbow Day Delight Bemusement and Dismay

If you think you will or are somehow
predestined to find your rainbows end

I certainly hope and pray for your sake
you hopefully 1 day in time in the
future you eventually do

So you can or are able to provide
actual living proof

That dreams however long they
may take can really come true

As there are precious far and few
to find

That in actuality ring true

But once again if you find yourself
who do

Best of wishes and luck to you I
hope it brings and makes you happy

So long as you remember to forward
your secret on to those unfortunate
others

Who haven't quite succeeded thus far
in discovering a rainbow of their own
is still bound to appear

1 fine warm summers day overhead
in the sky after the rain has subsided

To their total and utter delight bemusement
shock and dismay

As this is your day alone come whatever
after therefore may

Whence the sun has dried your tears
of happiness and joy all up

Another writer's block hour
Seems as I'm lost in the power
Shook up and dismayed
Locked in the jaws even a cage
I will fight with might this blues

Just Listen My Friend

JUST LISTEN MY FRIEND
When you are in darkness,
With gloom and dismay,
You feel what's worthwhile
Is slipping away.

You wonder if life
Is worth living at all.
Your mind is in turmoil,
And you're apt to fall.

If you listen closely
Someone is calling
He whispers gently
“I can keep you from falling.”

“Don't go any further,
But take a deep breath,
Call on to to Me,
And I'll do the rest.”

“Your troubles are over,
If you'll come unto me,
For I understand them,
And will set you free.”

I know His sweet voice,
His words are all true
And if you will but listen
He has much to give you.

Your life will be better
I promise my friend
For this loving Person
Has blessings to send

If you will yet trust Him
He always will stay
All of your darkness
Will then go away

She dubs
worn thin
sounds
that assault
bounce back
further spread
in barbed spikes
of dark and
ruby delicacy

mutters
of consternation
furthermore,
panics
she will
break or
go down
in tears

screeches
 fill her
dreams
her mouth
her ears

Destroyed cosy inquisitioned in light
Detective sun floods roof lifted abode
Harsh ray revelation, shark menace bite
    Adrenaline daggers stab at forbode

Fireplace safe scaffold coughs in sunken fog
    Flight frantic response compels departure
    Haggard recognition, choked chimney smog
    Accumulates lump lung coal disaster

Sorrow will slow her, solo is her plight
Spat at offers smoulder in disregard
Heroine rejects, chest prison gate tight
Ashes of apathy, bleeding heart barred

Ukraine Rain - the Holodomor 1932-33

The Ukraine rain fell long and hard
From clouds above on high,
But what were shed
Were tears of red
To spill on fields awry.

As storms of rage passed o'er the land
A horseman through it rode.
A black horse day
Of wild dismay
As floods of red rain flowed.

Beneath the yellow and the blue
The Ukraine rain poured on,
It steeped the ground
For miles around
And harvest yield was gone.

As people cried and people died,
The pain of rain aflame;
With nought to eat
The yellow wheat
Was plundered beyond shame

And all about the crippled souls
Would weep through blood red eyes
As once again
The Ukraine rain
Screamed down from blood red skies.
