On US Army about
Legacy is leaving a mark on the people around you and the world.
Like placing a rocket upon their shoulder
Or giving them choice within the assessment scale of your grade
I could only hope I haven’t left a scar
Gentle as fragile instances passing by my observation
The Flame and The Fire control detonator
Who let the kids play with the matches
When overmatching the match mayn't appear the overmatching of the most ethical
Then will the most ethical appear hypocrisy if the Decision Dominance saves soul from trap of the Devils
Inspired by Ogden Nash
These poem was written well prior ADP 3-13 was published in Army Directory
But will the Army then give me benefit of serving as a source
People today claim themself with no shame being AN INFLUENCER
Do the they comprehend responsibility then ?
Before technology, to find
A number, you would look
In a pretty big directory
Of names bound in a book.
There were two types - the yellow pages
Listed business phones
And the white-paged paperback contained
Your personal unknowns.
The names were alphabetical
And had a home address,
Plus the number for the telephone
To dial (not to press!)
We have a copy from the past;
Our grandson found our page,
Though whether he could picture
Using it was hard to gauge.
Of course, most people used these books
As booster seats for tots.
Suggesting that today, though,
Would make most young parents plotz.
Expectations brings
about self deprecations,
sometimes I wonder if
the thoughts running
through my head are
my own or somebody
else’s?
The world lives
in constant turmoil,
waves crashing,
tides swerving in
and out from open-
ended beaches,
abysmal delays of
the lighthouse directory,
guided by supplemental
shocks of lightening
rays trajectory.
I stand firmly in front
of the baseless sandcastle,
a fragile foundation of
past voices from lurking
shadows who slowly
poisoned its interior,
lack of motivation,
wandering in between
spaces incoherently,
my mind in anxiety help-
lessly what I could
not understand,
the words stare back
at me in silence gradually
suppressing the last
bit of life found closing
in underneath,
time holds on as
it falls into deep
sleep.

Position: Ephemeral Verse Consultant
Clock-in Time: Unknown
Clock-out Time: Immediately After You Notice Him
You won’t see him arrive.
You might catch a glimpse--
a flicker of velvet,
a whisper that sounds like unfinished poetry.
He drifts between aisles,
scribbling stanzas on the backs of receipts,
leaving notes folded in teacups,
and misquoting love spells near the lip balm display.
He never applied for the job.
He just appears
right before a storm,
drops a single verse,
and vanishes before the ink dries.
We tried giving him a name tag once.
It wrote itself into a sonnet
and dissolved in moonlight.
Check back often. New employees arrive whenever the veil thins… or HR sneezes.

The story
Articles and stories over a thousand years with peers
Bastion of world and unearthly cheers
Chanting, litting the candles of history
Deepens on hearts of directory
Excerpts of penners' calls immortal
Fountain of inspirational walls eternal
Gallantry in thoughts etched on boards
Highlighted in neon lights, not swords
Inlet of brimming vividry
Jargon of poetic brevity
Kaolin of delicate crystals
Lining, circling in virtuous celestials
Might of dear penners
Nestled in curves and strokes of thinkers
Outpouring of hearts' endless desires
Pillars of writing bolstered with wires
Queues numbered in heralded battalion
Racing with olives in pavilion
Strength of ink on reams of poetry
Tingling ribs with humor and artistry
Up and down you sit and relax
Voices of souls never lax
Wonders in writing and imagery
Xylophone of tones, echoes in bravery
Your mighty pen tells it all
Zany or bold, each word says it all
In the first blaze of the day's dewy dew tricked.
Presently unclaimed, by intense sun acclimated.
We fitly step and wantonly break deadwood.
Our bones are broken, above than once permitted.
Each progression is without ambiguity directory.
A delicate breeze blows through plant greenery.
For the unassuming, delicate welcomes equerry.
For the quiet, blurring complements scenery.

Pearlescent the corneal reflection, on a blind mans eyes
orbs of obscurity, belie a defunct projection of screens
for Eventide is ever present, nuanced beside a braille directory
his mind’s focused on Feral senses, gut instincts, acuity
knowledge of darkness, has built its own safe haven
Plumb lines are useless, if life’s following a ball of string
the Thrum of a moths wings, leads him to the window
fingertips sense the drapes, yet another Crimped reality
fly away little creature, go find your own darkness
you don’t want to be trapped in here with me
with a bittersweet Tang of sadness, the moth is released
Howling into the distance, on a gentle summers breeze

*Psalm 99:5 Exalt ye the LORD our God.
April 6, 2019
I had a red jeep once,
my husband rigged it up with
Christmas lights on the running board.
I was puffed up about it.
My grandparents had the best
Christmas lights; they were jewel-toned,
and bubbled up and down, like a lava lamp,
before lava lamps were a thing, back in
the 50's.
my parents had the same boring, drab,
fat-bulbed red, blue, green, and orangish-yellow
Christmas lights. We wanted something better, but
these were already paid for.
The best Christmas light was the time I put on a Sunday
School play with 85 children. My vision was to rig up a giant
white star in the back of someone's pick up truck, and the children and their parents would all follow the lit up star from the church to
the sale barn, which was our stable.
I had to call all of the people in the church directory, because no one could figure out how to do it until I reached a man whose last name began with a Z. I think I can do that he said, and he did!
I will never forget the awesomeness of this Christmas light though; it was my all-time favorite Christmas light. The procurement of it was awful at the time, but is so sweet in the memory now. So worth the trouble!
The purpose of a phone book
Back when I was very small
Was to raise the height of children
Who were young and not too tall.
The kiddie table sat them first
But then they weren’t part of
The main event of which they hoped
To squeeze into the heart of.
So when their parents gave consent
They joined the grown-up table
Yet being short, to reach their plates
They simply weren’t able.
So phone books to the rescue!
With the slightest little push
A directory was placed beneath
Each toddler’s waiting tush.
The meal went on until those kids
Were bundled off to slumber
And never did we use those books
To find one single number!

I like the way you walk Mademoiselle
You do it like you do and do it well.
This Frenchman though a foreigner admires
that wiggle wen you walk-like prancing fire.
This is my card. You notice I am chic?
I also have a dash of being meek.
The card? Well its is only to provide
to my hotel room directory and guide.
At twelve O’clock you notice then Ta-Ta?
To make my room I go right now. Ha! Ha!
There is a knock. Oh nervousness no more.
I must straighten my tie and get the door.
And this behemoth, who? I ask cherie?
It is your husband? I capiche. Oui Oui!
I think you have the wrong hotel and floor.
Sir, kindly take your fat foot from the door.
Ah fisticuffs you say? Tis not required.
I only have your lovely wife admired.
So please remove your hulking mass from here.
I think that your demeanor is too severe.
You are choking me monsieur and that is nasty.
You drag me to the window? Don’t be hasty!
Two or three floors up, I understand.
But twenty, bonamie? I’ll surely land
A bit untidy to say the very least,
Mademoiselle, would you call off this beast?
Just pieces of cloth world recognition
Individually designed, national symbol,
Identity inscribed fibres of inspiration
Connected to poles a wooden handle,
Just a piece of cloth that tells a story
of power, religion, strength, devotion,
Signifying people's beliefs life's directory
saints, politics, unions, people's revolution,
Just pieces of cloth of many colours
emblems, stripes, crosses, spots, stars,
Respected giving identity like no others,
hanging from homes, buildings, cars,
Just pieces of cloth we call a flag
we fly these standards waving high,
our heritage our past not just a rag,
Protecting them we live or willing to die
Powder blue sky without imperfection
horizon soothed with voiles of heat haze
amiable breeze a caressing distraction
to alleviate celestial fieriness ray's,
floral tapestry feathery foliage of green
contrasting multi coloured layered themes
of delight, peaceful, tranquil, clear and serene
turning reality into soul satisfying dreams,
sultry evenings attracting light drawn insects
Silhouettes darting between dark and light
Creating shadows delivering special effects
in the minds directory no cause to rewrite,
fruit trees, cereals in fields, lush berry bushes
flourish anointed with enriched liquid gold
spray dispensed by ripened Angels blushes,
creating summery tales, stories to be told,
nectar harvesting bees happily pollinate
causing hive of activity within honey factory
dancing left, right, directed route to navigate,
Sourcing products to replenish their refectory,
summertime new beginnings, recreation
for young, old, beauty to enjoy and behold
natures creations, Earths natural plantation,
balanced, nourished, satisfied, controlled.
