Deception Has Deep Roots

Shall we travel back in time, to a deception that has ruled mankind.
The year was 1910, a dark, dark night with seven evil men.
The creature that was created there, has left a country in despair.
As we have witnessed throughout time, the Feds, the wars, the Government and their crimes.
All it took for the machine to

What ever could be a digital wallet.? Just
Numbers..No form, and no freedom from it.!
Usless as far as your cents go, equally bad
For storing dollar bills to stow, i'll have all know..Back
Away world.' there is slavery involved in those
Days.'

Premium MemberSilence

Autumn leaves
fall slow
a child's questions
left hanging
in digital silence.

My fingers trace
letters that will not
hold still

b becomes d
was becomes saw
help becomes
nothing.

The maple outside
my bedroom window
drops one red leaf,
then another,
marking time
the old way.

Mom's phone buzzes:
Car arriving in 3 minutes
Pizza en route
Package delivered.

But no alert sounds
for the moment
understanding
slips away
from me.

No GPS tracks
the distance
between
what I know
and what
I need to

Be still in a digital age

It’s a timeless art to sit still
Be an old geezer
One who bore nine children
Or a private who fought Hitler
Or be an indoor cat, jailed for life
Put your smartphone down
Mute the vibrating in your heart
Chips stole how to be alone
Divided the setting sun into seconds
Be kind to geezers who gave you freedom
They hold the art

Digital Signal

If I were in automaton mode
and wrote a digital poem
with binary code
in terms of two states
expressed as 0's and 1's
(positive and non-positive)
which when done
alternate
and run
in a lengthy string
then later transmit the data
with technology
it would not read
a beautimous thing
but repetitively tedious
or boring indeed
nought but a numbers game
of dreary ennui
it would positively be

Still the Dust Sings

after ‘The waste Land’, by T.S. Eliot

I met a woman on a glitching screen,
her face a whisk of pixels and prayer.
She spoke of shattered systems and survived code,
“The cloud remembers everything,” she said, "but forgets what matters.”

A rat hurried through my feed at dawn,
past memes and headlines, each a kind

Premium MemberA digital farce, we still count fingers!

Before the chip, before binary code,
Before clocks showed in digital time mode,
Stood an ancient man with furrowed brow
Trying to track time and count numbers in a row.

He stared at stars, watched the sun,
He devised how to count when time had begun,
Using the flanges of his fingers one by one,
Counting seconds, minutes, days, and months done.

Digital Disinformation

Wildfire spreads quickly,
Homes turn to ash, air with smoke,
Fake story's rage burns.

I’m a digital copy and so are you
We are digital implementations
Into the world of alternative view
Sharing our endless vacations
Once we appeared there, so we remain
Still I can hear your voice
We are the spirit that flies on again
Over the land of our choice
Digital world seems a rescue for us
We can’t be exiled from this

Fury for the Masses VII: The Digital Haze

Fury for the masses
a static hum blares
through the digital ether
fingers swipe
left then right
hearts race
pixelated chaos
unfurling black flags fly!

An electric storm
of fury?
a parade of images blinding
a pixel
a pulse
a scream?
shadows of war loom large?

A darkness-play
on the walls of our minds!

Fragments of lives
broken and whole?

Spiraling through
glassy screams
each face a mask!

Fury for the masses?
Red

Entangled in the Digital Web: The Modern Trap

In a realm once pure, where stories were shared,
A new world arrived, yet no one was prepared.
Young hands that once worked with skill and grace
Now swipe on screens, lost in the race.

They dream of fame and riches untold,
But in return, their secrets are sold.
A click, a share, and trust is gone-
Privacy is lost as the
