Deserting Poems | Examples

french americans rot

there twasn't lights breaking
embarrassment
no, there is illusions of daybreak
i sieve knowing seas, lasting songs
columned bridges dangling low
on lustless ships
deserting grips
guilty spectacles, hived
crustaceous criminals
devouring sadness
bells fasting to rebuild glowing hours casting
italian imperialists
hunting burning forests with wine
liberated toddlers taunting grandfathers
inside of ticking guillotines
burning pouches of mothers milk

I find withered autumn leaves
falling down floating one by one!
I see creatures deserting trees,
once used as their safe havens!
The bald trees that are left behind,
appear as magnified mirror images
of dead leaves’ intricate venation!!
Trunks of trees transforming
forests gradually into eerie scenes,
remind us of tombs in cemeteries,
standing upright all across!
Tree trunks, preparing themselves
for getting past the vagaries of winter,
seem eagerly awaiting spring’s arrival!
What a lesson for mankind to learn!
Hope is the secret of survival!!

Betrayal Begins With Trust

" ...betrayal begins with trust." Quote by Phish

Being betrayed it destroys all trust,
Always staying humble is a must.
No thought the deed is to be repaid.
It destroys all trust being betrayed.

When you are hurting, your wounds are deep.
When betrayal makes your climb so steep.
Your faithful friends are now deserting.
Your wounds are deep, when you are hurting.

Faith’s an emotion, precious to give.
Trust in a friend, the right way to live.
Expect loyalty with devotion.
Precious to give, faith’s an emotion.

If you’re betrayed, stay strong, walk away.
Don’t retaliate, no need to stay.
Hard to forgive, God’s word you’ve obeyed.
Stay strong, walk away, if you’re betrayed.

Twilight Sojourns

Days weave together
as night tears at the seams
Light as it vanishes
deserting my dreams

The sun making promises
darkness reneges
The truth stays an orphan
that both will misgive

The rooster to signal
that devil’s retreat
Hope spawning a sunrise
where wishes beseech

All joy upon waking
released from the pall
The clock now a weapon
that hangs on the wall

In mutual exclusion
our psyches must live
A damned symbiosis
all take and no give

But hands will fall southward
the shadows reborn
This daydream a nightmare
—as twilight sojourns

I try to keep my brain alert
By writing poetry.
I am still trying to think,
But my mind is deserting me.

My mind is in a muddle,
As is my pitiful brain
It is a constant struggle
Am I going insane?

Or have I already gone
And I don't know it yet.
Will my mind recover?
Or is this as good as it gets?

I am becoming invisible,
Like a plain blank wall
I blend in with the surrounding
And cannot be seen at all.

I have become a spectator.
Not an innovator of life
I must keep my mouth shut,
Because my words may cause strife.

Plain and simple words
It is my language of choice.
Individual thoughts
That gives me a voice.

To share opinions,
And different points of view.
Every day teaches each other,
And learning too.

I try to keep my brain alert,
By writing poetry
I am still trying to think
But my mind is deserting me.

Maybe I have a writing cramp,
I am sure I do not know
Whatever you like to call it
I wish it would hurry up and Go!

Spirit Lives Amidst Death

Their pride was wounded,
And the win turned pyrrhic red,
Felt nigh defeated
When they saw some hands wave flags
O from a pile of dead rags.

Poet’s note: The way unequal Ukraine has given fight to the Russian might, knowing of their resolve amidst the so-called friends deserting them, and the way the invading Russians are getting desperate by the day, we feel like saluting national spirit as this Tanka does. This is the fourth piece in a series on invasion of Ukraine.

The Youth

A chain of misfortunes.
A chapter of disappointments.
Dreams broken and many bereavements.
This is their daily bread.
Their worries never seem to fade.
What's their next choice?
Please hear out their voice.
They drink merely for effect not taste.
Then for a couple of hours, their minds will be at rest.
They say that they are now strangers to themselves.
But they don't know that the whiskey is a danger to their health.
They don't know that sanity is deserting them.
And upon themselves they are bringing shame.
Please help them stop.
And find a way with stress to cope.

Amidst the Chaos, I Fly

The Universe is full of Blessings in Disguise,
Realize it to Rise or else buckle up to pay the Price.

Deserting the Woes when I walk under the Moonlight,
The Mystic Aroma of the Nature thus vivify my Sight.

The Light in the Darkness is the only hope to Survive,
Underneath those Past reflections I somehow strive to be Alive.

While running behind those ideologies of Life,
I Then realize Adventure is the only spare Drive.

As I take a lapse to embrace this Joyous World,
It discards my troubles by letting those Tables Turned.

Now My Wings have outgrown in order to touch the Sky,
Excuse me while Amidst the Chaos, I Learn to Fly!

Is nothing else but God's deterrent

Melancholy

Companion of my cheerful heart
 Come deep into my bossom
 Sing wherever you want
Wander through my vales of passion
Tie my soul and yours coming apart
 Cross the streams of romance
To my dark walls of thought
 Fencing me
 Here I am
 Catching only a glimpse
 Of your pure heart
 Deserting the shrouds of despair
 To quench your volcanic passion
 Storming me faraway
 Here and there
 To leave you alone
 And drown in my illusions

pregnant with flavor
blueberries pulling at the mammary branch
ready to release

they drop
onto your tongue
crushed by blue-stained teeth

they roll
down deliciously
deserting
the tree

apropos applauding
seasonally

"Each Day Full of Wonder"

          Some see only,darkness.
Living in agonizing, useless bogus fear.
Not only demoralizing, but dreadfully frightening!

If you are blessed to have a friend that has your back,
Like a ship in a stormy sea, they will show you how
          to set sail and tack!

He looks up at the glories of God and the sun!
He lifts your chin off the ground and tells you not to run!

A stellar friend like this, oh heavens, such a dear blessing.
Poet's name a dearest secret.. to keep you guessing!))

Thank you, dear friend for never insulting or deserting me.
A first-class human and poet you are!
I have learned so much from thee!

Life's Great Mysery

It’s quite the conundrum
When life seems so humdrum
We go through our days
Wasting time in so many ways
With trivia so distracting
And problems so exacting
Filled with junk grabbing our attention
But I don’t think that was God’s intention.

Modern life is so confusing
Everyone in a rush, refusing
To stop for a moment to savor
All of life’s varying flavors
People in a hurry everywhere,
They just don’t seem to care
That so many are hurting
Society, humanity seems to be deserting.

It’s time to reverse our course.
It’s time to return to the source
Life isn’t just about living
Life is more satisfying when you are giving.
The greatest source of love
Is that which comes from above.

After Fall

With the eye popped he seemed ugly
Mimicking the stinking diabolical
Image of the unimaginable hungry
Whose head the slug left unstable

The slug left the shell with mucus
To end into the seas of darkness
Where he swam the wagging focus
Whose empty shell spent relentless

As he turned facing the sun
For sucking the arty warmth
It rang that he left in the shell
That son tomorrow the wrath

Unimaginable dissolution gates
Shortleaved dislocated brain
 Loin to loin joining abates
And later I wish to the strain

Before the foe for thought
Spread the bed that led
Like a slug brain shouldn't split
Deserting the meninges your Shell

For under anger and duplication
Bearings of dire aspirations
One per cent carries to locations
Later united in the desertion
