Sent into earth’s atmosphere where it burns up
Urine is recycled for drinking. Go fetch your cup.

I’ve Found It’s true,
“The best things in life are free”
Not free stuff, but a prayer, a smile, a hug,
or perhaps a kind word directed my way.
An offer of help when I’m facing difficulty,
whether needed/wanted or not.
For after all, the thought also counts,
and shows me that others care.
Start today with a smile,
and be kind to others.

Haven’t you heard, “Butterflies are free”
So, why to view them indoors are you charged a fee
So, we lie here again, under the same old moon. You are a constant my friend.
So, we examine my fears, my tears and my thoughts. The reasons I fail, the silence, the pain, the living it costs.
So, I know what you think. You rattle my cage each time I try sleep.
So, your power over me? I’ve studied you too though your conceit would never suspect such treachery from the mild mannered me?
So, what do you think now? The air is colder up here, but the wind seems cleaner somehow.
So, you never thought I’d getaway? What’s wrong, come closer, oh are you just too used to getting your way?
So, that was quick. That’s some fall I took. But, let me tell you that was no cheap trick!
So, now it’s my turn. To prey on your fears, to be the fire in which you’ll burn.
The cost of a funeral
or ‘funeral protection’
~ a real R.I.P-off these days
As the cost of gasoline we’re computin’
To Vladimir P. it’s been imputined
Whereas that’s a subject of much disputin’
I’ll leave the solution to the high-falutin’

As it is where do we stand in the face of fear? Fear for a child, a parent, a loved one or a peer!
How do we rationalise the chances we take? A soldier may die in the experience he or she makes. But, that’s what their training and mindset are prepared to accept in the worst case.
A nurse is now obliged to risk all to save us. Do we accept this or ask why is the state of the nation so morally unjust?
We can’t carry on with an attitude of success at all costs. Foolish statements made to bolster a nations ego have already and could result in too much needless loss!
The schools are everything important for a nation to exist. Education, education, education is so important for opportunities and success to persist.
Our track record on listening to the experts shows that we think we know what’s best? But this time it’s schools of children, support staff and teachers that will face the most serious of tests!
If the earth explodes
If the virus takes out your dendrites
If a wild child sneaks into your dreams
If there is an opportunity to be kind
Be kind
Start with yourself
Be your best friend
Say kind things to yourself
Look in the mirror and smile
Arm yourself with happiness
It will make kindness more natural
If people are hoarding
If there is no more toilet paper
If a woman grabs your groceries out of your cart
If there is a chance to help one person
Be kind
Saturate your family
With positivity and warmth
Think words before they escape
Only voice optimism and encouragement
Be daring and bold
Exude kindness daily
Goals, Choices, and Costs

In life, we need goals,
one must have goals,
both short and long term.
Most goals are never achieved however,
without our willingness to pay the price.
Gain without sacrifice,
is often shallow and meaningless.
All goals come with a price!
Education,
A career,
To excel at any particular endeavor,
Popularity,
Fitness,
Marriage,
Children,
Riches,
All good, but temporary, goals.
Life consists of choices, actions, reactions,
and their inevitable Cost's.
The ultimate choice we're required to make?
To serve God or Mammon.
God, gave us a choice,
the price,
your soul.
Looking back in retrospect
Previous owners were circumspect
Not meaning harsh disrespect
But years of neglect
And upkeep gone unchecked
Amount much to the domino effect
Our new architect
With his cryptic dialect
And superior intellect
Presents his bold new project
Structural troubles to correct
Existing building to protect
Proud addition to erect
For youthfulness to inject
Pride and strength to resurrect
And combat the greenhouse effect
The costs both direct and indirect
There for us to dissect and inspect
Several naysayers to deflect
Since from all we’ll have to collect
Because we know some will object
To grand illusions of prospect
Garnered benefits to expect
And resurgence of self-respect
To create a positive ripple effect

Its My car
Thousands of miles together we travelled
maps then a sat nav journeys unravelled
collected all sorts, even went to the tip
bus into town, no in the car I'll just nip
MOT services tax, insurance as well
paying the bills down to me it all fell
Now at the end the bills just to big
think its all over I have to admit
one last journey together we made
down to the scrapers only I walked away
the end of this tale is not very nice
travelling on roads comes at a price
pounds shillings and pence me it did cost
but for my beautiful car its life was lost...
Love Costs Everything
To love another person
more than yourself costs you a lot
but to love the Lord as He deserves
costs you everything you’ve got.
For His love was not selfish
His love was certainly not cheap
His love came to deliver us
and He said that the price He paid was not too steep.
So He laid down His life
we must do the same
no price is too high
for His Righteousness we will gain.
Now, I prayerfully say to my Lord
what is it that You want me to do
no price I believe is too great my Master
for I truly love You.
