"I ran behind a bus", said Ben,
“Saved a good five dollars again”.
“Oh fool!” dad exclaimed,
“My son, I’m ashamed.
Chasing cabs, you could’ve saved ten!"
I see the significance
after all
I finally feel the pain
of it all
as I drive by
and
count
the
marching
headstones
Every
Single
Day
of your
duplicity
As the cost of gasoline we’re computin’
To Vladimir P. it’s been imputined
Whereas that’s a subject of much disputin’
I’ll leave the solution to the high-falutin’
I looked at mental health the way Churchill looked at Hitler,
I have this one and only shot, and with it, I must deliver.
* "for without victory, there is no survival" - Winston Churchill
* "for without survival, there can be no victory" - Nick Trim
Be kind to other people
If they themselves are also seem kind
For if it costs you nothing
Why wouldn't you not
If in return you receive something
as simple as a smile
Have you not only done yourself
but them and the world some sense
of good as well
What is the cost of one space toilet, dear?
Nineteen million, the price point is clear.
Why is it so costly? What makes it great?
Astronaut waste is stored for a later dumping date
Sent into earth’s atmosphere where it burns up
Urine is recycled for drinking. Go fetch your cup.
Past decade decayed in a mist of crimson
Last barricade barraged to escape this prison
The Shades of grey flow through my faulty prism
Light betrays - plain sight - guards march me back to my chasm
Cleaning crew - white suits - red spatter
Leaning cruelly towards me - empty eyes - soulless laughter
No body
Chains hold me
Cold so coldly

Kindness Costs Nothing

I’ve Found It’s true,
“The best things in life are free”
Not free stuff, but a prayer, a smile, a hug,
or perhaps a kind word directed my way.
An offer of help when I’m facing difficulty,
whether needed/wanted or not.
For after all, the thought also counts,
and shows me that others care.
Start today with a smile,
and be kind to others.
