Contamination -

synthetic heaven taking hold
          changing all that's lucid, cold
               down the gut or down the drain
     coursing throbs to burst a vein
(bent to quell a wretched pain)
 

City Water

Risen
From the springtime flooding along South MLK
A sh#t-skinned slimy pipe
Pops half way up from a grimy hole
Like a gopher molded from iron ore

Neck and head periscoping left then right
Tiny arms bolted to its furry chest of rust
Surveying the silence of this industrial prairie
And the graves pocked from Foundry hammers

Until a school bell bangs
And a kaleidoscope

Contamination

your dulcet words from your lips slipped into my bloodstream 
and filled my heart with desire
but now even those delightful words sting like poison
contaminating my mind,
infecting my soul

Conscientiously Combat Contamination:
  Pass punitive laws policing polluters
  Keep chemicals from killing crops like corn
  Plink and plunk pests with pure, perfect panaceas
  Segregate and shun smokers of cigars and cigarettes

Contradictorily, Contribute to Contamination: 
  Permit and protect pernicious ***********
  Validate, vindicate, and venerate video violence
  Liberate, laugh

The Contamination

The flat evening
In the bowl
In the swing
Absolute control

In the sky
The gray air
A little shy
The white hair

In the morning
The beta blocker
In the evening
The scripture and prayer

The river was tranquil
Neither the ripples nor the whistles
The chest peaceful
No fractions and decimals

Suddenly the gale
A blue blast
The prayer is frail
Begins the glasnost

In the dead soil

Daily we face different kinds of aggravation,
but there is one type which by man has its causation,
and it merits an immediate termination.
But because of modern “civilization”
and the greed of many a corporation,
it’s doubtful we shall have the consolation
of ending modern man’s contamination.
I’m not talking parasites or the visitation
of bacteria from eating a crustateon.
I mean the

Contamination: of My Mind

Corrupt words shake the ocean of my sleep-
   Since childhood words have infected my mind,
and the endless winds of time roll and creep;
   I carry scars-  my spirit and soul twined,
      my mind a ravaged garden deep.
        And

So much contamination
needs a close examination.

take a breath of radiation
or a toxic medication
select a name with aspartame
clean your car of acid rain
eat the food with preservatives
and other long letter additives
from the air-borne pathogens
to the many carcinogens
wipe off this and sanitize that
Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch
landfills loaded with human waste
trash mountains growing at rapid pace
fish lying dead

Everyday Life-Contamination Contest

"So many meanings on "Contamination" that
 we all forget what the real meanings of it all
                           can be.
This crazy world that can use an examination.

CONTAMINATION
   Please take a moment to wash your hands, 
Clean up that mess all around where you stand.
   Honestly, has it not once ever crossed your mind,
If you looked under that sink what you might find?
  I sometimes wonder when I go to touch my mouth,
I could contaminate myself and

Goodly Contamination

Nothing is ultra pristine pure
Nothing is completely denuded of contamination
There is always something foreign,
lurking hidden somewhere, in there.

Often being unaware of contamination is blissful,
for the disclosure disturbs the faith and destroys trust 
we have in food or drink, air or water.
Why should we care what the fishes do in the water we drink?
It is best
