-contamination-

Word: Contamination

Having given up on everything,
Knowing that I've got nothing,
I'll let this emptiness take over,
Like a contamination.

Feeling the itch to talk,
Feeling the twitch to walk,
I shake my head and scratch fruitlessly,
Because I am contaminated.

Little bugs crawling everywhere,
I can only scream that it's not fair.
The feeling of flesh decomposing,
Because I am a contamination.

Don't try and help me, I'll repeat that,
But truthfully, all I want is a cure for this.
I want to feel okay, I want to be stable
I don't want to be contaminated.

Bittersweet, this body that is too far gone,
Eaten up by the pessimistic views it lived on,
There's no outbreak, for it was contained,
This bacterial contamination
