Furry
Cat dog hamster
Ferret guinea pig too
A fun loyal companionship
Cuddly
cat eyes
glow in the dark
make them seem mystical
a spooky creepy ambiance
cat eyes
Little
Miss Witch nose twitched.
Bewitched a mundane stitch;
Halloween clown from head to toe
trick, treat.
She walked
Down the dark street
With sweet sounds of laughter.
Skittles, candy corn, M&Ms
Bag full
One, two,
Three, sudden; Poof!
Black spike hat, gown, and boots
Holding a kitten as black cat
Looked out.

Feline
Lean and furry
Stalking sprinting panting
The fastest cat in the forest
Cheetah
Lions
Fearless, watchful
Supreme and majestic,
Their mane, golden crested crown worn
With pride.

My cat
The sneaky one
Walks across my keyboard
Spelling words that only he knows
LARPTY?
Wildcat
wanders about
among the wildflowers
searching for a tasty rabbit
hungry

Kittens,
Multi-colored,
Purring, dancing, clawing,
Drinking milk from its mother's nipples
Felines.
Peepers
Majestic queen
Mightily snatches prey
Aloof, haughty, and crazy quick
We are honored to serve her needs

Cats In The Cradle
cougar
prancing terrain,
prospect's skinny dipping,
yearning inside her garden groove
howling
connie pachecho

Note-With the title I wanted to suggest that there are two
types of cats, cougars. Play on words. This poem reads
both ways. For example an older women (of cougar myth
prancing the dance floor) for her young buck, and the wild cat
likewise searching for a young buck.
I love to watch you snoring by the fire,
ensconced between my feet. The heating’s on,
so bask in luxury, my little one.
That seized-up hip and generous spare tyre
mean you’ll not venture out. Those days are gone!
But when all else has fled, hope still remains.
Those twitching paws still sing the timeless song,
and in your dreams you’re limber, virile, strong,
cavorting lithely over sunlit plains,
pursuing sparrows one vast summer long.
felines
on window's perch
now drowsy in the sun
conserving their energy for
midnight.
Frowning
in frustration
Alice cannot conceive
the cat beyond the
grin
Here kitty kitty,
let's play hide and seek.
Hey, kitty?
Oh, you are asleep.
Come kitty,
give me a hug.
Where are you, kitty?
Oh, you are taking a nap.
Good night my kitty.
Now, you are up?
Listen my kitty,
Don't be such a cat.

Calm sea
curves in white frill,
as gentle, lazy waves
dash against each other, playing
catch me.

Scrawny
cats gather close.
A bevy of them meet
on the gravel sand discussing
conquests.
---------------------------------------------
I learned
to watch the sands
of shifting friendships sink
like tides that ebb and flow with wind
pushing
----------------------------------------------
Her voice
a cruel thrust
plunged deep into his mind.
cold shivers made a ladder of
his spine
-------------------------------------------------
Light spills
breaking shadows
weaves a patchwork of hues
painter’s dreamscape etched into his
palette
-----------------------------------------------
Mountains
with crests of snow
look somber and sleepy
as distant mists of dawn start to
creep slow
